I loved the modern bathroom and the additional desk space and large ceiling to floor windows. How late room service came to clean the room, ( I went out for brunch and came back to an unclean room) Had to call housekeeping! Unacceptable!!! |

The hotel was very clean, modern, well-appointed. The front desk lady was extremely efficient and accomodating. The bathmat was a little ratty like mine at home but it was forgivable. The a/c unit clicked loudly when it went on. |

The design of the hotel was very cool, and the bed was very comfortable. Definitely a unique hotel, in a great neighborhood. The train running underneath made the hotel very uncomfortable and not a very enjoyable experience. The staff had 1-2 nice members, and most other people who were not very friendly or engaging. |

The room was an oasis of peace, comfort and modern design. I asked the woman at the front desk for help with the entertainment system and she didn't know how it worked. She assured me she would find out and call in 20min. She never called. |

Duane Street Hotel is small, but well appointed. It is in a great location, putting you close to Soho, Canal Street, good restaurants and shopping. The room is clean and modern and efficient. I wish there was a workout facility, but as much as you walk everywhere in New York, not necessary. |

The central location of hotel was great, many subways close to hotel. Duane Street hotel was very tidy, not special. The room was small, king size bed and the size of bath room were good. The service was good. All rooms are opposite of Church Street, which is big and nosy The water pressure of shower was too low. The music of hotel was slightly disturbing- need the earplugs. |

The staff were excellent, especially the young woman on the 3-11 shift. She was great. The bed was wonderful, very comfortable. The location was great... easy walk or subway from anywhere in the city. The airconditioning was problamatic. When it came on, it blew 'freezing' cold air straight down on us at night. We were constantly pulling covers on, then pushing them off, as the temperature went up and down. It was rather loud and uneven. Less critical was the fact that we could hear every word that was said out in the hall. No sound from other rooms, unless one was in the hallway, and then you could hear everything. |

The location. The mattress was OK (better than 1 star, rather like 2 star or better). The staff was willing to keep the luggage until 5 p.m. the day of check-out. The hotel is wrongly given 4 stars. A fair rating would be 2 stars. The room was very small. The shower was dirty. The entrance to the room is winding through narrow corridors, and does not seem fire safe. It is obvious this building was not originally constructed for hotel purposes and that it has been converted into a hotel, but unfortunately a normal hotel standard has not been obtained. |

The hotel was well positioned to a no. of subway lines. It was close to Soho and Nolita for great shopping. Clean comfortable rooms. The position next to a main road made it quite noisy especially around peak hour traffic. The hotel vibrated when a train ran through in the subway. |
