free wi fi for info that is not available at the desk. the hotel staff were unfamiliar with the local transport and we ended up at the wrong side of town. a local bus/ train map would be helpful. also restaurant is not open sundays, so if you stay over the weekend you miss breakfast. its also a bit too far to walk to the main part of town everyday. |

The person at the front desk was efficient, polite and helpful. He recommended a very good restaurant which was reasonably priced. It was near our destination - the HFFestival - Arclight Theater. |

I liked to location of the hotel, close to Hollywood Blvd west and close to the highway exit. I didn't like the personel at the reception desk; they kept shouting that we could not check in without a printed confirmation (that we didn't have because we were travelling and booked one night before). The room was not clean; there was lots of dust under and on the tables. The breakfast was very limited and there seemed to be a fixed number of breadrolls for all hotel visitors. |

The water pressure in the shower was awesome and it was close to the places that we wanted to go. There was no hairdryer. The mattresses and the carpets needed cleaning. |

Fridge & microwave facilities in room. Location. The breakfast included is only an excuse to give business to the tea room / diner as apart from a cup of coffee, a glass of orange juice and some cake it is practically non existant encouraging you to order some non complimentary supplements. The bathroom is old and floor not seeminlgy very clean. |

Das Dunes Inn ist sehr gut gelegen und verfügt über eine ausreichende Anzahl kostenloser Parkplätze. Ohne Mietwagen (mit Navigationssystem) sollte man sich in Los Angeles allerdings nicht bewegen. Internetzugang über WiFi klappte problemlos und ist ebenfalls ohne Aufpreis im Zimmerpreis enthalten. Die zwei Queen-size Betten sind für die Übernachtung einer vierköpfigen Familie mit 2 Kindern (9J.+12J.) ausreichend. Den Zimmern, insbesondere den Bädern würde eine Sanierung gut tun. Wir haben in zwei verschiedenen Zimmern übernachtet. Das erste Zimmer lag direkt an der Straße und war sehr laut. In den Zimmern, die abseits der Straße liegen, ist vom nächtlichen Verkehr hinggegen nichts zu hören. Zur Übernachtung gehört ein "kontinentales" Frühstück, bestehend aus einer bunten Platte verschiedener Mini-Muffins, extrem süßen Brownies, Kaffee und Orangensaft. Kein Toast, kein Brot, keine Butter, keine Marmelade. Ein Upgrade ist aber gegen geringen Aufpreis möglich. |

nette mitarbeiter, zimmer waren sauber, sehr gute zentrale lage in hollywood, ausreichend kostenlose parkplätze. für 1-2 tage ok, wenn man in der gegend viel ansehen möchte (z.b. walk of fame, universal film studios,...) viele obdachlose in der umgebung, ziemlich viel verkehr, aber es ist nun mal los angeles, klimaanlage nicht mehr das neueste modell (etwas laut) |

De eerste ochtend vroeg ik aan de kok of hij ook gewone criossantjes had ipv belegde, en de ochtend daarna stond hij me al op te wachten met een bord met 2 warme croissantjes en lekkere stukjes fruit ernaast. super ! geen waterkoker, magnetron of koelkast. |

Het hotel ligt op een gunstige locatie, vlak bij Hollywood Boulevard (Walk of Fame). Je kunt je auto parkeren op het terrein van het hotel. Volgens de gegevens was de prijs inclusief ontbijt. Dit was echter niet zo. Er was zelfs geen ontbijtruimte. Verder was er aan de overkant van de straat een plek waar allerlei groepjes mensen rondhingen. Niet een plek waar je graag rondloopt. |
