Dunes Inn - Wilshire

The first clerk that I approached was rather rude and not helpful. I had made reservations hours (5-6) prior to our arrival. He told me he didn't have any reservations for us. When I showed him the confirmation he just shrugged his shoulder and turned away. Later after we got the room I noticed the refrigerator was plugged into extension cords and were run under the closet about 15 feet. These were common light gauge brown cords. The lamp between the beds had been affixed to the table top. The cord was run through the top out the back and had been spliced in the open. I'm not sure but I believe these are fire code violations.

The room was spacious amd the smell when you walk in was really mice to smell.

The bed i had booked a room that was queen size and it was not a ueen size the guy said it was it was kind of hard for me and my daughter to sleep in the same bed that night.

everything except the convenience of location The place was dirty and the carpet was grossly filty. Staff appears disinterested and could care less. Elevator was dirty and half of the time non operational. The hotel should be reported for non compliance with rules on handicapped compliance.

Old and noisy, they were rebuilding the pool.

The price and the location was good for us

We arrived to jack-hammers rennovating the pool area. Couldn't even hear the man behind the desk. The room to too bare bones. No clock radio or coffee in the room. Tv is old and has a dark picture. Upgraded TV's would not cost very much. No amenities whatsoever! The bed was awful - too soft, and overused. We left after the first night, and won't be back unless there is great improvement. I'd pay a little more to have a nicer experience.

I didn't stay there personally, i booked the room for my daughter and family. The above are based on her comments. We will definitely continue to use the Dunes Inn because of the convenient location on Wilshire.

Very friendly reception staff

There was not coffee/tea making facilities in the room.

Anytime I have stayed ta the Dunes inn Wishire I am always treated wonderful! All the staff is friendly, helpfull with any inquiry I mat have. My rooms are clean, comfortable & spacious. Its a quite place with a lovely pool. Close to everything slow Angeles has to offer!

No all the cable channels come in.

Great value for money. Cheap, good size room, pretty clean, decent location.

The housekeeping can be a little pushy when they want to clean.

The proximity to downtown, and the moderate affordable pricing.

Would have loved to have an Iron and ironing board in the room, or something available at the desk letting me know it's available. Would have also liked a dolly to help cart my luggage upstairs, and return it when I was done.

Young people having party until early mornig, outside in the korridor. Beerbuttles and vinebuttles all over. And when we talkt to the reseption in the morning he was more consernd about us not having called the nightstaff. This was friday 28 october- 29 october.

Awesome place to stay especially if you have kids, great safe location, clean rooms and shower plus noise Is minimal we will be staying again next trip!

The location was great, there was free wifi and a free parking. There also was an fridge in the room.

the apostery on the floor of the room was old and dirty, our feet where black every time we walked a couple time through the room. With checkin there was an quite big guy and he wasn't very friendly. The whole hotel was quite old.

+ The hotel position isn't bad ad at all, even if a bit far from Hollywood boulevard with all its attractions. + The staff was nice and helpful. + Good quality/price ratio.

- The position isn't the best to see Hollywood on foot, you absolutely need a car.

Huge line to make the check in. Other than that, no big issues.

Nothing to like. The location does not make up for dirty room, security issues and complete lack of customer service.

Dirty dirty dirty. Carpeted floor was dirty. Walls were dirty. Ancient appliances. No electronic keys. Filthy bedcovers. Blood-colored stains on short curtains. Felt unsafe, like the gruff attended who questioned us about leaving after only a few hours who was clearly empowered by the 1-inch plexiglass screen. Could not complain about customer service as there was none. A terrible experience.

Quiet!!

Location was what I was looking for.

The smell of the room, and the hall ways were very old and dirty. The only mirror decoration and flower base in the hall way, was not clean. The only blanket was so old, plus we had no iron or toothpaste.

Perfect location for my needs. Free off street parking. Always a plus in Los Angeles.

Glad there was a refridgerator. Wish room had a microwave.

Nous avons eu la désagréable surprise de constater que la piscine est hors service! Cela n'était pas signaler sur le site et qui plus est, la personne à l'accueil ne nous a rien dit, nous l'avons remarqué par nous même! De plus il nous a menti en nous disant qu'elle serait à nouveau en service d'ici 2 jours ( sachant que nous avions pré réservé 2 nuit) : un gros mensonge étant donné l'état de la piscine( pas de carrelage dans le fond!)nous avons donc dès notre arrivée demander à parler au responsable durant notre séjour pour avoir une ristourne sur le prix mais il est rester inaccessible!!nous avons vraiment été décus de cela!!
