Loved everything. Very clean only wish. They had a continental breakfast.staff nice
Cleanliness, staff very pleasant.
Air conditioning does not seem to cool the room very well.
TIME AWAY FROM THE HOTEL
QUALITY OF THE STAY WAS THE WORSE IN 16 YEARS, JUST TOO MUCH GOING ON, PAINTING, CARPET WORK GOING AND GUEST NOT RECEIVING THE SAME RESPECT AS VISTORS, IE CHAMBER OF COMMERCE,
I liked my room with the view of the ocean. Anne the lady who made up my room was very good and helpful. The hotel was a comfortable size and had a friendly lobby. The staff at reception were friendly upon my arrival. My first decaf morning coffee was excellent.
The food in the restaurant was so salty and the breakfast potato fries were old and reheated and I did not eat them. Coffee is very important to me and I was later served bitter coffee, it had sat for too long being kept hot. I really expected better food and service as this is a good location and an attractive hotel.
The location and the balcony overlooking the beach and ocean
The rooms were clean and smelled fresh. The beds were so comfy. We had the most amazing view from the 9th floor ocean side. The old style of the hotel was awesome. They have tea and crumpets also. We will be going back in the near future.
We loved everything about it.
Private oceanfront balcony was divine! We slept with the door open to the sound of never ending waves breaking throughout the night. Ahhh. No boardwalk noise. Just the soothing ocean. Room was clean and bright. Bed and pillows were very comfy. Towels were soft and thick. Interior hallways are also well constructed and laid out so that "other guest" sounds are minimal. If you wanted activity the nighttime sing along was very lively! and you are steps away from the boardwalk. There is a 7-11 conveniently located just across the street. Concierge gave us great suggestions for late night dinner. Microwave, refrigerator and coffee maker in the room was also a big plus,. Can't wait to go back. This is be our first choice from now on.
Amazing room looking over the beach and ocean. Balcony with chairs to watch the sunrise. Fantastic staff. Sleeping with the sounds of the surf!!!
oceanfront rooms and ease of access to beach...amazing Tracy, our server in Victorian room, very pleasant and attentive, other service staff great as well. I fell in love with the lotion provided.
gnats in room not so friendly host at restaurant unclean coffee mug on table inside and out, same for glasses at buffet
Close to the boardwalk and the Ocean. Lovely room with balcony and ocean view. Friendly and helpful staff. Good choice of food.
clean. food was good. nice atmosphere
room had twin beds and at 6'2" sleeping was tough.
Where else could one find a hotel where all the rooms or suites have balconies overlooking the Atlantic, and where guests don't even have to leave the hotel's sea-front property to spend a marvellous vacation?! With its lovely dining-room whose tall windows open onto the hotel's vast beach-front wooden terrace, where guests linger to read a good book and/or have coffee, drinks or casual meals, there is simply no need to go anywhere else -- except, perhaps, one block away to the quiet end of the OC's boardwalk, to look at the lovely night sky overlooking the Atlantic. The family-owned Dunes Manor Hotel also organizes various events (ex. an after-dinner jazz ensemble in the lobby) to make guests' stay as enjoyable and memorable as possible. No wonder the hotel has such appeal!
The hotel had just received its cappuccino machine, but it was to be installed a few days after we left.
We have been staying at the Dunes hotel for years and continue to enjoy it. Location is great, the staff is pleasant and teatime is very enjoyable.
Breakfast is ok. It could be improved. There used to be earlybird choices that were nice. We find buffets overrated.
Clean room Fluffy towels Nice pillows Good restaurant - nice having a nice restaurant in hotel Rocking chairs on porch Piano entertainment
Pool area just okay - pool could be bigger and deeper
The hotel's beach front location is ideal for people traveling with children. The beach front balcony is a nice attraction for older couples who wish to take in the ocean breeze while sitting on rocking chairs. But for younger people like me (46
Please renovate the ceiling that leads to pool area. Our room had a large stain on the carpet floor as you walk in. Early check in is claimed but wasn't available.
Being able to hear the ocean and sitting on the balconing at any time....
Quiet, homey. All services available. Private parking. Right at the beginning of the boardwalk. Private balcony. Open the windows and doze off listening to the ocean.
I have nothing for this category.
Proximity to beach and boardwalk. Victorian decor. Friendly atmosphere. Sing alongs with Shirley Toms.
Restrooms in general need attention.
Booking.com rate was great. Neat hotel great view. Love the chairs on the L level over looking the ocean, in the 3:OOpm tea time,
Bed a little uncomfortable after a couples of day. Carpet could be cleaner. Should have a more firmer mattress.
Slow draining bathtub.
Great location and very clean for a shore facility. Staff was very friendly - enjoyed the atmosphere.
I was confused about he billing. I reserved on booking.com and it looked like I paid through them. When I checked out I owed a balance.
Restaurant... wait staff... rooms w ocean-view balconies... indoor/outdoor pool... afternoon tea
The staff was very attentive to our needs.
The drain in the shower was clogged so the water filled up the tub while showering. The a/c was very noisy however the staff replaced the unit very quickly
I had never used booking.com, nor had I ever stayed at Dunes manor. Both were great. I will be going back for another stay. I loved the Victorian decor of the lobby. All the staff was friendly.
Ocean front and balcony, location, could walk on boardwalk or catch tram, loved beachfront, porch, restaurant, comfortable beds, afternoon tea, quiet this time of year (after labor day).
First impressions count. Cant say i didnt like but entry carpet (to upstairs) looked stained and worn. Rest in halls and room was fine.
