Nice room with big flat panel TV and recliner

The friendliness of the staff and the Shuttle people were so very very nice...

For the price, I would have liked some type of Continental Breakfast...even just cereal, toast, bagels and or waffles....

I liked the location of the hotel to Duke University. They did an outstanding job of transporting people to the campus, and making it easy. It was clean and well maintaned.

The pillows were uncomfortable, and there was no choice of pillows. Other hotels offered free breakfast in the cost of their hotel, and Brookwood should do the same to be competitive.

TV was not flat screen, no HBO, no TV guide, only one bar of soap initially

Location

We stayed in the Tower which is behind the main hotel. The facility is in bad shape.Our room smelled very strongly of disinfectant and the curtains were broken and seemed dirty. In addition the refrigerator rattled and made a terrible noise all night long. We spent 5 nights in the hotel and asked if we could move to a better room if one became available - the staff never got back to us although they had promised to.

No hot water for more than half of our stay, shuttle service did not answer our calls. Price of room doubled for Duke graduation.

Staff excellent, transportation to and from Duke Hospital exceptional with very accommodating driver.

Clean and very convenient!!!

It was close to where I needed to go. The lady at the front desk was nice, I arrived after midnight.

Breakfast was not free, the person behind the counter was not nice in the cafe, there were holes in my blanket on the bed, the rooms are old and AC unit was noisy.

The people who worked behind the desk could not be nicer or more accommodating. George who drives the shuttle is so wonderful. He knows all the history of the Duke campus.

Got back to hotel after 8pm no where to buy a snack or a cup of tea. (Something more than vending machine snacks)

Location. Value. Needs met well.

Room temperature needed to be cooler and thermostat was restricted.

Staff was helpful, shuttle service to and from duke university good

No meals at night and limited places to suggested to order. At least need to include menus of other places vs suggesting to go to Internet. That's kind of ridiculous as it would be so easy for you to have those menus.

Large rooms, nice bathrooms, large television. Close to Duke Law School!

Minimal amenities. No workout facilities, restaurant only open for breakfast and lunch. Complimentary take-away coffee is offered in the lobby during the afternoon, but in the morning only as a paid service through the cafe. Kind of weird.

Location and cleanliness were outstanding. Shuttle service was nice. Female staff members at the front desk were friendly.

Male at the front desk was somewhat "remote" and abrupt. Bathroom sink had very poor water pressure...only a trickle came out.

This stay was primarily used to have a hot shower in the AM. I am in Durham everyday commuted from Harnett county, but had a shutdown scheduled for Tuesday at 4AM. Rather that drive back home only to go straight to bed to be able to be on site at 3:30AM, I opted to stay in Durham and had intended to just catch a few winks in my trailer and 'bird bath it'. But fortunately Brookwood offered a rate and location that made it a 'no brainer' to book a room. This allowed me to sleep comfortably and have that hot shower in the early morning hours. Hopefully, i did not disturb other guest with my 2:45AM alarm.

Nice location go Duke Medical Center. Excellent place for breakfast. Comfortable beds.
