The staff were friendly, the location was excellent, just a few blocks from Grand Central Station and the New York Public Library, but on a quieter street. I was extremely disappointed by the hotel restaurant in terms of quality vis a vis price...tourist trap rip off...as for the hotel, there were some hiccups that I wouldn't expect in a hotel of this price- one of the elevators got stuck several times, internet access was slow and spotty, television reception was a bit crappy. It wasn't bad, I just expected more.

Location was fantastic, walking distance to Times Square, Broadway, Empire State Building and Blooms Deli just two doors away for a real American breakfast. Unfortunately, as with most Manhattan Hotels, the heating was not able to be controlled from our room but was centralized to the whole hotel. This meant practically undressing to be comfortable in the room. If we travel there at the same time next year, we will be more adequately dressed for the (over) heated interiors of New York City

The staff was very collaborative and available. The hotel is at a point to have renew on painting and furniture. You can not open your window because it's in front of a office from where people can see your room.

Location was perfect for my business, cerntral mid town with access to all connections and firms I needed to see. The room was dark, the lights not the best, but it was quiet clean and comfy. Free internet, but it went on and off a bit. No way to work out, the exercise room was not so great. Breakfast was quite expensive. O/w fine. Except the internet connection was not the best.

Great location, Grand Central is just right on the corner, 100 meters to New York Public Library, 5th avenue, Bryant Park, and even Time Square and central Park are within walking distance. Cozy room, nice and clean bathroom, and room size is considered big in nyc. Free wifi with perfect speed. It would have been perfect is the lady receiving us showed a little bit more hospitalty, yet all staff are quite helpful.

When we arrived we wre put in room 1604 I had to go down to reception about 2100 hours as the room was like a sauna and the heating had not been on since we arrived I explained the problem which was the air conditioning was not working and it was very uncomfortable like being on holiday in the middle of the summer. Was told that we could be moved from room next day which we were. The room mentioned above which they must have known about as when I asked to be moved or I would be willing to check out the next day

Nice spacious rooms and a small hotel; very central location and an excellent (but pricey) restaurant. The hotel was a little tired looking and the staff were not at all engaging.

The staff was very helpful and brought us 2 roll out beds for no charge (one was included in booking) Tthe location was very good, Close to grand central and times square. We were woken up both nights by loud guests. First night was an alarm that went off for hours in the next room. The next was a guest that couldn't get into his room and tried to break the door down. Very tired, exhausted by end of the weeked from sleep deprivation.

I choose it because off the location and price. They also offered free wifi. They could not have been nicer or friendlier. The food in the restaurant was delicious too. I would certainly recommend it to anyone! It's so minor. They don't leave the newspaper at your room in the morning. You have to go downstais

This hotel is perfectly nestled in a quiet little nook between Madison and Park on 41st Street. Conveniently located near almost every touristy spot in midtown, but without the bustle or noise level that those areas bring. The room size was appropriate and appropriately priced for the purpose of our visit, a launching pad for day excursions. The style of the room was simple yet warm. Nothing from this past experience would keep us from staying again.

Once you got your bearings the Dylan hotel was good. The air conditioning was not on, you would melt in the room, and room 507 was very noisy, And 804 was small. Other than that not bad, Yes I would stay there again. As above. Would I recommend the Dylan? I would if the air conditioning could be used all year round.
