room is tidy and big, bathroom and bedroom are super good, like the bed it's so soft!!
there is no free wifi !
Location, room size, amenities
The hotel had a 'boutique' feel about it and the location was surprisingly convenient despite being quite a distance away from Midtown. The subway was only a short walk away, views over the water were very nice and it was quiet at night which made for a good night's sleep. The breakfast menu had something for everyone, highly recommend the pancakes! Kids loved the fact that Shake Shack was just outside the hotel.
The location was only a problem when you were unable to take the subway and had to get there and back from Grand Central as the taxi will almost always encounter traffic which makes for quite a long and expensive taxi ride.
Lobby is nice and clean Staff is super frendly
Breakfast was very expensieve for twice nothing
Spacious, high quality rooms. Nice to come 'home' to after a busy day sightseeing. Great bars and restaurants nearby.
Mini bar prices. Why? Who buys that stuff? $10 for a bottle of Stella at the roof bar. Roof bar was a bit too small.
Location was fantastic, right next to the world trade centre and such am easy wall to all Downtown attractions - Wall St, Trinity Church etc. Rooms are very nice, hotel overall is very nice and clearly new. Roof top bar has fantastic views across the Hudson.
Not much to dislike. It was fairly expensive, and therefore maybe not the best value for money.
Roof top bar shut during the day - it could be used during the day for coffee & snacks. Bigger variety for "included " breakfast.
Great location & staff were excellent - always willing to help and everything happened so easliy & without fuss. Very professional but friendly. Would stay again without hesitation.
Spacious, modern, located in a great area of Manhatten. Loved it!
Hotel was fantastic. Staff very helpful. Brilliant gym facilities. Breakfast had a good choice and was very nice. Beds the most comfortable I have slept in. Fantastic location in Battery City. Would highly recommend this hotel and will definitely be staying again when I return to New York.
Very welcoming environment and staff, especially the "chamber maids" nothing was too much for them. The turn down service was such a treat, with the little extras like the glass and water by the bed at night and the little note of the next days weather being a personal treat of mine
Sort out the wifi fees mennn?! How can such a top notch establishment charge for wifi in this day and age???
Location, great room, very helpful concierge, view over the river
Shower only albeit massive, there was no bath
The hotel offered more than we expected. Our room was spacious and well designed and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The staff on the concierge desk were exceptional and always greeted us by name and a welcoming smile.
Great location to use as a base when exploring lower Manhattan - 15 minute walk to subways uptown and the amazing new 9/11 museum (a must see!)
A little pricey, but then again it's NYC :-)
The suite was beautiful and the modern style of the hotel as well.
Room service was a bit pricey.
Location. Ease of checkout. Room service.
Rooms small compared w other luxury suites. Limited tv station selection. Overall many rungs below places like Le Meridian for not that much less money.
Its name is five star but truly it is worser then 3 star. Staff not cooperative. Service very lazy. Even Wifi is not free. Break fast is nightmare - you get coupen worth US$ 20 and you can order just one drink and one dish. It is shame for 5*
If you want to visit New York in a quiet, nice and luxury neighbourhood, this is the place.
To pay for WIFI in a 5 star hotel. A real shame.
Subway station is a 5 to 10 minute walk Very spacious rooms Spacious bathrooms Clean towels and linen Has complimentary water, iron, coffee machine in the room Staff was very friendly Has a theater in the hotel Restaurants right outside the hotel Has a rooftop lounge Walking distance from world trade center memorial
You cannot store any item in the fridge as it is a automatic billing mini bar. (Which means if you remove an item from the mini bar for more than 30 seconds it will be added to your bill)
Fabulous location. Staff great.we had a beautiful room and the bed was so comfortable we both slept all night from day one. The Hotel is absolutely beautiful and we will always stay there when we are in New York. We would highly recommend this Hotel.
Paying for Wifi. I was quite amazed at the charge. As Hilton members we always stay in Hilton Hotels and often it is free in the lobby/reception area. We live in England and travel quite a lot, often in rural France where even there Wifi is free. Quite amazed that a High Tec City like New York doesn't have more free Wifi.
Having nespresso in my room was such a nice detail.
I didn't like that the tv didn't have sports channels activated. At my arrival I just wanted to rest and order room service while watching the world cup; because of the bad tv programming I had to leave the hotel and find a bar/restaurant that had it.
The location is convenient to local shops and stores in Tribeca. The Hotel staff were delightful and very helpful. The view from the rooftop bar of the Hudson was excellent. The room, very spacious and well thought out. Safe in the room always appreciated.
There are fees for additional services, like WiFi for example, but really, very few complaints. Watch out for the smart mini-bar.
