Love this place. Great staff, location and facilities. So much better than some basic "hotel" room.

My husband and I loved the room and the location. We were very close to River Street and not far from the Historic District. We had an amazing time!

1)Most of the staff and the innkeeper were incredible especially Julie. Very accommodating and helpful. The morning receptionist was snarly and almost disdainful and seemed to be put out if you asked for water (which was part of the amenities) and she was fairly indignant when I mentioned that the parking garage offered a one day pass for $7.00 for East Bay Inn guests and that it might be helpful to other guests who were staying an uneven number of nights (parking is $12.00 for 2 nights) to know this ( a helpful kindness). She sarcastically replied was that it had nothing to do with the Inn. 2)The bed and pillows were very comfortable. 3)Location!!!! 4)Cocktail hour quite pleasing and gave us a chance to meet the other guests. 4)Nicely furnished and felt comfortable. Clean and well kept.

    1) No outside area to sit and enjoy a cup of coffee or a glass of wine. 2) the evening h'ors d'oeuvres were mundane as was the breakfast.

Hostess in restaurant, Gale was superb. The maid staff went the extra mile for us and the front desk staff was very helpful

Beds a little high-need step stools. Also toilets were very low.

This trip was for a renewal of a romance that began fifty years ago and then took a forty eight year break. It was meant to be a special first meeting, after being apart for a long time, and the staff of the inn went out of their way to make us feel comfortable with excellent service and a lot of good-natured kidding around. The Inn is the perfect setting for a romantic getaway, be you young or older. Oh, and by the way, we're in love again!!!!!!!

Not enough parking at the Inn.

The room was amazing. 14 foot ceiling with interior brick wall, yet all modern conveniences. Quite roomy. Very friendly and efficient staff. The toilet in our room had a problem and not only was the problem fixed quickly, we were comped that night. Location was unbeatable. Breakfast was not only free, but excellent.

Location Sweet front desk lady and most of the staff are very nice. Moved us to quieter room for second night of trip after sleepless first night.

Lack of parking 10 spots for 28 rooms. Very old noisy rooms (floors are super loud and creaky between floors and walls between rooms are very thin) Had a late afternoon flight and they would only extend "late" checkout to 11:30 Rooms are dated and overpriced. With many well priced hotels up and down the same street - wish I had known before booking. No more "historic" hotels for me!

    everything

being on the 2nd floor...the person above us got us every morning when we were there between 5 and 6 a.m. and thumped on the floor constantly, while every once in awhile they would drop something waking us up every morning...we came back to Savannah to have a peaceful vacation and we did until morning. Next time we will make sure we are on the top floor as we are a quiet couple...which I think would be a great idea to ask when people book. Are you a early riser?

    The whole visit.

The small parking lot especially because with our car-top carrier we were too high for the nearby parking garage.

The location was good for us , less walking to the river . Woke up during the night by a woman's voice wimpering and crying in pain or distress ; when I had my thoughts clear and awake it was nothing , so it was the closest I came to a ghost experience ... for real ! It is an old building with history . Very nice breakfast and comfortable stay .

They should have parking at the door as opposed to a block away .

Our room was not clean especially the bathroom. The mirror was filthy by the toliet. The fixtures are all rusty and the the bath tub faucet was broken. Won't stay there again. Very disappointed the reviews were deceiving.
