Staff were friendly
Needs a restaurant
The WIFI is low debit.
The price was amazingly low for so much value. Big room, big windows, amazing breathtaking views, rooftop patio, nicely finished, big bathroom with tile floor to ceiling. Modern amenities such as new alarm clock with an ipod docking station, wall mounted flat screen TV, lighting. Nice wooden floors and wooden furniture. Location was fantastic with plenty of restaurans, bars, stores, shops. Subway was close by. Chinatown and Little Itally were close by. The WTC was walking distance. Staff was very friendly and outgoing for example upon checkout they offered to check our luggage so that we could roam the streets freely before we caught the train back out of town. I requested a room on the higher up floors so that I may have a nice view well I got a corner room on the top floor so I had the BEST view available in the entire building without being on the beautiful rooftop patio. I've never stayed in a room inside of Manhattan that was so large this room had a hallway and room for a desk and comfortable chair, large closet, night stand on each side of the Queen sized bed.
Although extremely comfortable the only way the room could've been better was if the bed was a Kingsized pillow top and if the sheets and comforter were high count Egyptian cotton. The wall mounted flat screen television that I never even turned on because the views out the oversized windows were so stunning could have been bigger.
If the construction wasn't going on it would have been a decent location. Staff was friendly. The bed was horrible with equally bad sheets and cover. Room was ok but I will not go back.
The bed and covers!
Location was great. I chose it for its proximity to my work site. There is a nice movie theatre a block away and a Whole Foods two blocks away for sundries. The area itself is full of bars restaurants etc.
The WIFI was intermittent at best. Kind of drive me nuts.
Location great - lots of great restaurants, subway around the corner. Bed was comfortable.
Hated the glass wall between the bedroom and bathroom. Glad it wasn't a romantic weekend away with a new person, would have been really embarrassing to use the toilet.
The hotel was better than I expected based on the feedbacks of others. The Metro station is literally round the corner. Very historical and picturesque Orchard street and the crossing streets in the walking distance. Very interesting view from the rooftop indeed. Through the room is very small as described by many, but for a single traveler it was enough and the bathroom had enough space in comparison. The staff was very friendly and helpful.
There is nothing like a bar or anything except for coffee room. My room was not really well cleaned - I moved the bed and discovered layers of dust. The air condition system is very special and noisy - it was blowing directly onto the bed. But overall this is a decent hotel to stay at. A, and be prepared for the city tax on your bill, which is huge:-)
1) Bed was comfortable 2) Staff was firnedly/helpful
1) full window between bedroom and bathroom without pricay curtain is bad 2) noise level 3) parking distnace, but ok for city
This hote is attractive, has a terrific location, friendly staff and comfortable beds. While it's a great price for NYC, you need to have realistic expectations about room size and amenities. We packed light. Advise you to do the same!
Very weak wifi, toilet kept running which we reported but was not fixed, one day the shower door leaked and soaked the bathroom floor (that was fixed).
Helpful staff, knowledgeable about general enquiries (breakfast spot, etc).
Great location in lower East side
Staff goes Above and beyond to help you in the hotel and with your trip in general. They called museum and such for us to find out information they did not know without asking. Great family owned hotel.
rooms are small, temperature control of shower is difficult, and there are no mini refrigerators or ice machines.
Loved the terrace and the decor.
The rooms are small but quaint.
Comfortable bed, quiet room. Free unlimited coffee is a nice touch. Lovely roof terrace. This is a no-frills but comfortable, well- serviced hotel - would come back as it is very good value for money.
Poor TV choice, for an international traveller to not have CNN or BBC is disappointing and the signal was bad.
Loved the rooftop deck. and cleanliness
The privacy wall for the bathroom- wasn't private enough.
Location is close to many eateries and other facilities - especially transport. Staff very particularly friendly and helpful. Reasonable value for money
Difficult to communicate with staff who didn't speak English. Inflexible booking and payment conditions
you are near th subway, whole foods. hundreds of cool little cafes and boutiques in theLES and a short walk to Soho. Great value for the traveller who wants more than the midtown/times sq experience. friendly staff who kept my luggage all day and Mr. Brian hailed a cab in rush hour in the freezing cold!
teeny bit noisy but you ARE on a main road. basic facilities but I'm being picky - what o you want for such a great price?!
Super good location, hotel staff was awesome, helpful and informative. Place was clean and comfortable... Some will say too small, but it's NYC. If you're a fatty, you're not gonna have much room!
Staff were excellent, friendly always and nothing was a problem for them. Service of our room each day was great and much appreciated. Although the room was small, bathroom was a perfect size. Location was also perfect for our needs, straight onto the subway outside and the whole city became instantly accessible. We also got engaged during our stay so it holds a special meaning for us!
The staff were very helpful & friendly nothing was too much trouble . The location of the hotel was great , close to subways , shops & restaurants . A good value hotel with an amazing viewing deck on the 7th floor.
Very small rooms & a glass partion between the sleeping area & the ensuite was odd. However the positives outweighed these negatives .
The hotel and it's staff were very nice. We needed a room near "The Rockwood Music Hall" (the hotel is just around the corner from the venue). We knew the rooms were small (about 10'x10'), but it was cozy and worked fine for what we needed.
The location of the hotel is perfect for someone wishing to see Little Italy, China Town, and the subway system uptown or down town is just right around the corner.
For the price there was very little we didn't like about the hotel. Very worried that hotel under $150/ night during holidays would be terrible. Very pleasantly surprised, and very happy with service.
