Location was excellent. I really liked the tile work in the bathroom.
This was my first trip to NYC. I was a bit shocked by how small the room was for the amount it cost. Maybe that is just how it goes.
The lobby is great and the location was perfect. I loved the very modern bathroom. They did let me get into my room very early.
The room was smaller than an average room in this area. The blankets were chintzy. The bathroom was nice and modern but the room was a little old looking. People were loud in the hallways including staff. My toiletries weren't replenished and I was there for a week.
room too small
Loved the hotel staff, loved the room, loved the location! Would stay here again for sure!!!
No Iron/Ironing board
Handy location on Houston St, close to cafes, bars, restaurants & subway. Friendly staff, easy access, rooftop area had great views.
Houston St can be busy but the road noise didn't disturb us in the room. Room is quite small but was enough for our needs.
Very well located in the Lower East Side close to Soho and East Village
Constructions on East Houston St. and the traffic jam
free wi-fi, cleanliness, location
The room was a bit small.the bathroom and bedroom was seperated by a transparent glass wall. I didn't like that at all. Also, my friend wanted to book extra nights and the front desk was not clear about the prices and availabilities.
FANTASTIC VALUE FOR MONEY, THE ROOF TERRACE WAS A BRILLIANT FOR LATE EVENING VIEWS OF UPTOWN MANHATTAN
OUTSIDE ROADWORKS THAT WERE OUT OF THE CONTROL OF THE HOTEL STAFF DESPITE THEIR BEST EFFORTS TO MINIMISE THE INCONVEINIENCE
We liked the location, the bed was comfortable and good coffee.
We could hardly turn around in the room and the see through bathroom was a little strange. The lobby should be brighter.
Staff are amazingly accomodating
The price nice design features in rooms and lobby Not have to share a bathroom! Rooftop deck Staff was helpful and courteous
Room was small Linens were average
typical over-priced NYC hotel. $335 for a closet
the helpfulness of the staff the roof terrace
the noisy fan - but they changed my room to a quiter one straight away
vrey noisy when you face the main street. Poor Isolation. Demand a quite room facing smaller street. genraly more like a 2 star hotel.
Staff was friendly, very clean hotel, location was ideal.
Lower East Side location.
Tiny rooms, so-so mattress.
Although small, the room was rather cozy and the hotel's proximity to the F Train and a Whole Foods worked out nicely for me. The staff was professional and friendly. Would stay again.
It also would've been nice to have been told ahead of time by the hotel about the street construction but other than that no major complaints.
Amazing views of the city from the rooftop, staff extremely helpful and friendly, room was very nice.
Weird glass wall between the bathroom and bed was quite disconcerting. Also strange towel like blanket instead of a proper blanket provided.
Fool's Gold craft beer bar practically next door was great. The giant Whole Foods market with great food just a block away was excellent. Practically next to subway entrance, very handy.
Sleep was disturbed by roadworks outside
I had been staying with family in the Gramercy Park Hotel and was staying on in the city for a couple of days and wanted a cheaper option. The place is well located (I have lived in the city and this was close to places I like: les, East Village, Nolita). It is also well located to get cabs over to places in Brooklyn. The hotel has a great rooftop (I smoke and it is nice not to have to stand on the street). It is a simple, clean hotel with friendly, organised staff. It was great to be able to get take out and eat in my room without feeling the need to hide the fact as I often feel I need to do in more fancy places. Would definitely stay again.
My room was a single and so quite small but cosy. There was a little noise from construction outside which started at 7 - I had a Houston facing room - but it didn't really bother too much (it might if you are used to complete quiet). Saying that I liked to watch the world go by so...
Good location and very clean, free mineral water, tea, good Wifi
I love the location. There are so many great affordable restaurants nearby with great food. And the roof deck is a treasure. Very helpful staff.
Only one thing: the glass wall in the bathroom. I prefer a bit more privacy.
Waited 20 minutes to check in when I arrived because the one front desk attendant was on break and the maintenance person on duty was no authorized to check me in. Was charged $100 in taxes on top of the Booking.com rate when taxes were only supposed to be $71 and they wouldn't give me a tax breakdown. The room was in poor shape-- scratched paint, shower was not cleaned (there was soap residue on the soap holder from the last occupant). They advertise continental breakfast-- there was only coffee one day, not even coffee at 9am the next day. Very loud.
