Apparently cheap hotels are hard to find close to Moab, UT. But this hotel was in Green River, UT which isn't too far away and was quite cheap. Room had a working TV and a bed that was comfortable. For an added bonus, step outside the door of your room and catch the sunrise...its gorgeous.
The bathroom stunk to the point where I had to keep the door closed and not use it. If I had to stay any longer, I would have complained but I didn't make a big deal out of it since I only stayed the night.
It's a good value for money motel for one night stay when passing by en route to Arches or Canyonlands NP. Very friendly owner.
The motel is quite worn down and it is hard to judge whether the rooms are just old of not properly cleaned.
3 queen sized beds and roomy.
Bathroom area was really small with peeling linoleum and mold. Furniture and carpets stained and reeked of smoke and beds were smoky too. Not somewhere I would stay again. I would rather pay more for better. 30 bucks would have definitely gotten us a cleaner and nicer room somewhere else but it would have been worth it.
Close to Arches National Park. Breakfast included. Freshly baked muffins by the owner.
Room and bathroom need at least throughout cleaning if not refurbishing.
Location close to National Parks water pressure was great
air quality in room was very poor night check-in manager was a complete trip! bed was hard/uncomfortable "complimentary" breakfast was a food safety hazard key didn't work easily very few amenities value for price very outdated/basic rooms clerk charged incorrect amount
great hospitallity great breakfast great atmosphere
old place, but charming
Convenience of location. A stay you won't likely forget soon. The proprietor is a "unique" individual who is very friendly but different. Breakfast was also special. Needs to be seen. Words can't describe it. If you're looking for quirky, odd and no frills, then you've hit the jackpot. We found it endearing but not for everyone.
the guy running the place was very friendly and enthusiastic. The sheets and towels were clean.
My only real concern was that I couldn't figure out how to lock the ground floor window. The place has not been updated, ok for $55 a night who cares right, but the bathroom needed some TLC. The free breakfast was cold cereal, coffee/tea/juice.
We were allowed late arrival. We didn't get bed bugs. Nothing happened, though we were worried about security of the room.
The desk clerk was very friendly but didn't seem to be aware of what was going on. Very erratic behavior. The carpet was old, matted and looked filthy. Our room was on the back side of the building while our traveling companions were on the front side so we barricaded the door because the chain was flimsy and we felt vulnerable.
Landlord seemed scary at first BUT he is very very nice, informative and shows great hospitality. We wanted to explore arches park one more day than planned, so we stayed one more night. We got advised by him to take a different road to Bryce than planned which turned out an amazing road (scenic road through capitol reef and dixie forest).
Not much to do arround at night.
To be honest, it's not a good place, yet the price is low. But you have to meet the host - Wayne, an out of this world fella, funny as hell, and very much helpful (guided us to a laundrament and a great restaurant near by - Tamarisk). Book for the low price, great location (close to Arches NP) and the experiance of meeting Wayne.
The heater didn't worked, the room's doors were problematic, and the breakfest is low on veriaty and quality. But! Read the positive comment above.
The owner, Wayne, is many things - but conventional isn't one of them. We loved our stay here. It's simple accommodation, but there's everything you need. A bit dated maybe, but perfectly clean. WiFi was, by far, the best we had anywhere in the SW. Loved the muffins!
+you could take the breakfast away with you +tea, coffee, & hot chocolate available all day in proper mugs +good wifi signal
- owner was a bit strange -walls thin enough I could here the person next door snoring all night -not a good nights sleep but cheap if you're not fussy
The host Wayne was funny and really nice. He also made great blueberry muffins for breakfast. The wifi was really great ( Mbits/sec 20!!!!!)
The room was old
price and clean sheets, location
sink falling off wall, mold by bathtub, frayed carpet, wallpaper peeling off wall,
The location And having a Continental burctfast
The clerk was friendly
The lobby was cluttered & filthy. The clerk was quite unkept. The room was outdated, furniture had holes, toilet loose on floor, no phone or hair dryer, dust on lamps. This motel needs to be closed down until it is cleaned up & repaired.
Wi-Fi, good coffee, helpful, friendly staff
The carpet, the carpet, the carpet...the (absent) cleanliness in general
this hotel should be closed! It's a shame for booking.com to offer the rooms in such place. Hotel is disgusting, extremely dirty and old. We think that even the bedclothes and towels were not washed after the previous guests. The whole city is completely creepy, but the guy working at the front desk is especially strange! I have never seen such a reception desk - full of dust, dirt and other rests from the breakfast! (we arrived 10pm!!!). It was the worst hotel we have ever stayed in.
The motel is rather old. It could use a lot of TLC but if you only want a cheap place to stay you might give this a try. The hot muffins in the morning was a good way to start the day. The room needed a lot more electric outlets as my extension cord came in very handy.
When we arrived, the man in charge said he would do us a flavour to put our rooms (2) near each other. Although we booked 2 rooms with 2 queen beds, he would giver us 1 room with a king and a queen and the other 2 queen beds, without a charge. However, the next morning when we checked out, he asked for a surcharge of $9.75. We did not ask for it and he did say it was free. I put down $10. I don't want to spoil my trip.
Location was good. Moderately priced. Very old motel, but reworked. Beds okay. Breakfast was good.
We were shocked when we registered. The man behind the desk was very friendly, but was unkempt with filthy clothes. His appearance could have been more professional.
coffee, owner baked muffins in the morning
there were no hot water in the morning, very dated, run down place. Owner is friendly, but kind of scary..
