Good standard hotel with good facilities. Room was large by New York sandards and extremely comfortable. All staff were extremely helpful. |

Good neighborhood easy to get around. Very comfortable, quiet and affordable. The room had a funny smell. Suggest cleaning the carpets. |

the hotel room was not what I had intially reserved. I reserved a room with 2 bed, instead I received one bed and one sofa bed. |

The room was spacious and clean, and was well maintained. We booked a room with 2 double beds. When we checked in we were given a room with 1 king bed. We went back down to ask for a room with 2 double beds but were told that nothing could be done, and a cot was brought up. We think that not getting the room that was reserved is unacceptable. |

Eastgate Tower has large family sized rooms. We stayed in a room with 2 bedrooms (1 king in one and two doubles in the other), large living area with hide-a-bed, dining area, two bathrooms and a kitchenette. Although the rooms are a bit dated, it is great value for a large suite in New York. The hotel is in a good location with restaurants and bars nearby, and shopping a few blocks away. It is four blocks from Grand Central Terminal which has numerous subway lines available to other parts of the city. We were on a non-smoking floor and the hall outside our door always had heavy cigarette smoke floating around from some chain-smoker in an adjacent room. |

Staff was eager to please. Location was perfect for us, easy walking to most places or to public transportation. It is not a fancy place, but very clean and spacious suites. |

the hotel is on the 39th east and 3rd avenue, which is very close to many attractions. the room we stayed at was huge and accommodated 6 people easy. 2 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, a kitchen, and a big living room. Nice neighborhood. Really recommended for families who are not too picky. The hotel is old, the room did have some unpleasant smell at times, but did not bother us too much, since it was big, and beds comfortable. They charge a huge amount of money for internet connection. beware. |

The hotel was very affordable. The rooms were very large for the price. We stayed in a Junior suite. The bed had an excellent mattress which was nice after flying for 34 hours. A kitchen was provided but there was 1 saucepan and no other utensils for cooking. |

Reasonable midtown location. Friendly staff. Room was not as reserved. Was to have 4 beds, only had 3. Had to bring in a cot. Run down appearance. Old mismatched furniture. Dresser drawers do not close. Kitchen poorly equipped: pots & pans consisted of one sauce pan. Only gasses were wine glasses and coffee mugs. Good thing we only did cereal for breakfast and ate out the rest of the time. |

The rooms were amazingly spacious for a New York hotel with plenty of wardrobe space. The location was quiet and provided a refuge from the hustle and bustle of the city at the end of a very long day. Staff were friendly and obliging. Eastgate provided much more than the other hotel that overlooked Times Square where we stayed for our previous visit last year. The lack of a bar, but we knew this and you could pick up beer and wine from local stores and retire to your room for a quiet drink. |

Eastgate is close to grocery store, pizza place, and major fast food chains for donuts and burgers. I liked the kitchen amenity since I was on an extended stay. Overall, the hotel is clean, but could use some updating, especially carpet and furniture. I did not like having to pay extra for internet use - it should be included with the price. |
