Fantastic location on the east side, really friendly staff, good value for money.
This motel is a little long in the tooth, but does the trick. We have stayed here many times. Unfortunately the former karaoke bar in the parking lot is now a club, which creates a lot of noise, particularly on the weekends. Still a good cheap PDX stay, though.
Very goog location, near the conference center (10min walk) and the city center (15min walk). Tramway going nearby. Nice brewery and restaurants in the area.
Wifi too slow. But that's the only bad comment.
The hotel has good location. Relatively close to the convention center. It also has many restaurants and bars on its surroundings, what makes the visitor`s life easier. The cleaning staff were very nice, polite and helpful.
The staff from the front desk is just RUDE and offensive. I simply asked to close my account and he kept asking me to chill out. And whenever I tried to say to improve the dialog, he would respond with rudeness - really if I had to come back to this hotel and deal with him again, I wouldn`t. Another problem was that sometimes, during the night, I could hear people shouting on the hallways. In front of my room there was a very weird old lady that would show at the door every time I opened mine. And sometimes I could hear her having arguments with other people on the hallway - Summing up, the hotel is well located, but the people running the place are disastrous.
The rooms were clean. The building looked aged but not in dis-repair. It is a decent stay for a decent value.
The walls are thin. I could hear the three guys talking outside my door. and the music from their room adjacent to mine. Although it appeared they had multiple Wi-Fi routers, I did not get good Wi-Fi in my room on the third floor in the middle the building.
Friendly staff Clean and spacious room. The location, very close to the Burnside brewery. Wifi on all the rooms Far enough from the train to not to hear the loud train horn at night. The king size bed is huge The room was equipped with a desk. Very warm, for the artic front that passed last week.
The location, in front of a strip club, I saw some dodgy characters going in. Motel style, anyone can come to your room from the street. Thin walls, my neighbour watched TV loud at night until 3am and then I could hear snoring through.
Close to my work.
No in room coffee pot. Old room heating. Found a tube of used ChapStick on the floor. For $90 dollars on a weeknight you should get a little more for your money. I've stayed in a lot better and got a lot more for my money.
We were close to almost everything we needed. The staff was very nice and the room was clean.
If you are looking for quiet, this is not exactly the place for you. There is a bar right next door and they play loud music into the wee hours.
They have a refrigerator and microwave in the room, I was able to keep my bottled water cold and make popcorn later in the evening. The building is old, some of the painting is sloppily done, but it was clean and in working order. The free parking and Internet was great. The cable tv had more channels than most places I've stayed.
I was able to open the window, but found the street below pretty noisy overnight. Next time, I will use the air conditioner in the room just to mask the truck traffic noise. I loved the fresh air, though!
I needed a one-night room that gave me access to east and west side Portland activities and this place was perfect for it at a great price. I could also open my windows for fresh air. Slept well!
Old smoking odor -- faint but there. Trouble with one outlet.
Clean and comfortable, with a microwave, fridge and coffeemaker. Easy to sprint across the Burnside bridge into downtown Portland. And we could park our scooters right outside our room. Good value for the price.
Overall nice straight forward room in good location. Friendly staff.
near great coffee shop, near fine restaurant (the farm) close to downtown
all nite party in near room, stoned homeless in car blocking parking, noise from niteclub across lot, no shampoo, hair dryer, coffee maker
good night-time manager, good lication to the center
smelly room, very noisy because of nightclubs and drunk teenagers, bathroom a bit dirty
Clean and comfortable and close to everything! Staff was great and Kabir was wonderful and went out of his way to ensure we had a great stay. Definitely our new favorite place to stay downtown!
Located within easy walking distance from several breweries and brew pubs, and other entertainment.
Only complaint would be the lack of updating to the room. Older TV, decor. But if all your doing is sleeping in the room, its all you need.
The beds were very comfortable.
There was a very unpleasant smell of mildew in the two rooms we had.
Clean rooms friendly helpful staff
WiFi was very slow or nonexistent. Complained but it never got fast enough for Skype.
Location to downtown
Bathroom wasn't very clean, there was hair all over the floor and in the shower.
Staff were very helpful with info about Portland.
Wifi -- needed to sign back on whenever I wanted to use it.
The location is great. The area around the hotel has many bars, restaurants and cafes. Its near downtown and the convention center. The bed was realy comfortable not to soft, not to hard.
The bathroom was a bit shaby/oldish and not very clean. The furniture has its age.
Location was good. Staff friendly and efficient, and helpful.
Loud outside music across street. Refrigerator did not work. Bottle cap and old band aid left on floor. This place is really in need of a makeover
Very friendly front counter staff. Easy walking distance to town. Great restaurant just down the road
Rooms a bit dated,
The bed was comfortable, AC was ok, a lot of tv channels Close to the burnside brewing company which was awesome. Okay neighborhood but not in the heart of the city
Room was dirty, bathroom had someone else's black hair everywhere, the showier was like a jail cell tiny and dirty and dark. I refused to shower and had to wear flip flops around the room. There was someone else's garbage, plastic cup, and wrappers on the floor next to the bed. Lots of people smoking weed, you could smell it everywhere. No breakfast. About a 20 min walk to get to the nicer areas of portland The wifi disconnected if you didn't use it for a minute and you had to log back in every time
Room Location Needs Remodel Dirty Old Carpet Small Rooms
Lots of great stuff within walking distance Low price makes it a really good value
Hallways are dark and depressing
