It was clean and there was plenty of parking.
The neighborhood was questionable. Too much traffic. Not safe to walk outside.

It's a fair place to sleep for one night. We wanted just a cheap place to stay just for a night so it was ok for us.
Neighborhood is quite dodgy. Although nothing happened during our stay (thank God), we felt a little uncomfortable staying at this side of the town. Motel's blanket and bed sheet doesn't look that clean either. Also, the motel's name is called Etown Inn instead of Eastsider Motel. Overall, it's a fair place to stay for just a night if you needed just a roof over your head and a bed. However if you're in LA for more than a day, for comfort and safety issues i'd recommend you stay out of downtown.
The room was a nice size and the staff were pretty friendly
The location is pretty strange, very strange people about! When I arrived the hotel clerk asked if I just wanted to pay for the first night and then come back in the morning if I wanted to stay longer as I had booked for 3 nights...thought that was a bit strange! There was nowhere decent to eat around, so ended up getting subway for dinner! Traffic is awful as u tried to drive into the city! Stayed for one night then went to disney! Put me off la in general! Also it's called the etown inn...
You get what at you pay for. Motel is in a courtyard so you don't get people wandering through. Staff were very friendly.
This is not an area of LA you are meant to travel to. I felt uncomfortable leaving the motel as the area is rough and run down. The motel is basic but I don't think even it was luxurious I would stay again due to the area. It's too far out from tourist attractions so you would need a car if you don't fancy the hour+ bus ride to hollywood/venice beach, however, I wouldn't have felt happy leaving a car in this area. Would not advise anyone to stay here unless you have to but a defiant no no to young people.
The motel was nice, we had a excellent AC and fridge. The beds were great. Keep in mind it's a motel, so don't expect it to have luxurious fancy rooms. It's 15 minutes bus ride to downtown from the motel or you can call for a cab that will take you there in about 6 minutes. The owner of the motel Clempten (sorry if i misspelled the name) was one of the nicest person we've met during our trip. He gave us info about everything we could do in LA and he told us the best funny stories. /The 2 guys from Sweden :)
The area isn't the greatest but it's safe
The price. The room was very clean and comfortable.
The clerk doesn't know how to speak English, so you have to be patience. The owners are a little bit confused. They didn't know if they had charged me correctly and they knocked on my door at 7am to give my money back. At least they are honest. If you don't have car it can be a problem, because the hotel is very far from Hollywood and the rest of landmarks. The neighborhood seems to be dangerous, but nothing happened to my wife and me.
Location kinda creepy
location, price and staff. nearby places to eat, grocery stores, bus stops and LA metro light rail station within 10 minutes by foot.
have to be very specific when you reserve your room in regards to if you want a small fridge, microwave, extra towels then again when you check in. Staff was really nice and helpful, but their english is a little rough so you have to be short and clear with a good attitude if your trying to get things in order.
dirty rooms, rude front desk guy (i guess manager) very noisy durring the morning. stay away
good location to where I needed to be, value for the price
tv was on the fritz, fridge leaked water
The location is near a light rail station and buses, so the hotel is very accessible whether you choose to drive around or not. The bathroom was very nice, with new fixtures, tile, and granite counters. Plenty of hot water and great water pressure, too! There was dorm room sized fridge, as well. Air conditioning, wifi, and plenty of outlets to charge phones and laptops. The bed was new and comfortable, there was a desk for working, and a flatscreen tv with cable for goofing off. Very well maintained and clean. With friendly and accommodating staff! Also, there's a supermarket across the street and lots of little restaurants around. An excellent value for the price!
