The place was so quiet. The bed so comfortable. We slept in and we were not disturbed all the units around us were opened and being cleaned and that was even quiet. Very happy with our stay
The tv is horrible!!!!embarassing, just so happens it is something that could possibly make me think about staying elsewhere. It's petty but true
Large enough room. Good location. Very useful information from the desk. Real good brewpub just a block away.
Strong odour in the room. Minimal breakfast. Tight parking, reservation required, so ok for us. Very old TV with limited channels. The bill was somewhat higher than agreed, but we observed this too late to make a claim.
it was very cold, i did not want to turn on the heater (smelled very very weird) it was very loud at night thin walls
Staff were welcoming. Location is good - easy walk to downtown; good access to public transport and Portland State uni; great collection of food carts opposite the hotel. There are very few budget priced (approx. US$100) rooms in downtown Portland; this was adequate for a night.
This is a very basic motel. Rooms are dark. Furniture is battered. Room smell is "unusual." It is a place to go to sleep - nothing more. Lots of very early (4am) street noise.
Staff, location, value for money
Parking charges. This is an Econolodge and should offer free parking. As they charge for parking they should show this at the time of booking not tell you when you get there.
Location is excellent, lots of parking. Proprietors are willing to help when they can. Lots of hot water.
Poor maid service...2 of 3 days we didn't even get our beds made. Room was a bit noisy owing to thin walls and thumping guests. Continental breakfast disappointing, no cereal, poor quality cream cheese, juice artificial.
Close to town, helpful owners, food carts were great, comfortable rooms
Great location and staff! Very clean and everything you need
Location, price and staff
Wifi dropped in and out
Good location, specially if you're visiting Portland State University. Tram line to downtown and Oregon Congress Center is nearby, too.
A bit too basic breakfast (just one table in reception, although we always found it free, most people just took breakfast away), WiFi connection with not that much bandwith and needing to reconnect every some time (premium, non-free access, is also available).
Strong smell for cleaning agent, probably from carpet. Did not disappear or even reduce during the stay despite open window / aircon.
I paid enough for the room,Don't like paying additional daily fee for parking... it adds up.
The location is this place's most redeeming feature.
They don't inform you until you get there that there is a $10 per day parking fee.
location, price ,comfort-whats not to like, great value for the downtown location
having to take basic breakfast back to room as no real seating in lobby
Friendly and perfect location for what we wanted to do.
Can't think of anything.
Great location; within walking distance of downtown, right across the street from a food cart pod, and only a 1/2 block from the streetcar. Staff/Owners very friendly & helpful.
A bit noisy; it sounded like it was close to a fire/ambulance station; heard an awful lot of sirens going by.
the room had a mini fridge and a microwave-there were food trucks across the street and public transportation ( at least 2 kinds) within 1-2 blocks. breakfast was enough to get your day going and the people running the place were very friendly and helpful-running the ac on low blocked most of the street noise-it met all of my needs...the nearby Sat farmer's mkt was great
The staff was kind and helpful
Old style motel, very noisy from both street and neighbors. Wi fi disconnected all the time, poor breakfast, far from the city center, not very secured area. Very expensive.
motel was refurbished and very clean; the front desk was very friendly and helpful
We were upgraded to king bed without asking
Friendliness and helpfulness of staff.
Breakfast option was nice and food was tasty, but the dining area was small and food selection was limited.
Econo Lodge was in a great location, near our place of visiting. The room was very clean, comfortable and convenience. The best was the staff,.Rita was exceptionally warm, friendly and helpful
Very friendly and helpful staff. Good location to explore city
Paying for parking. First time for me for motel style accommodation I have done this. With tax etc makes it overpriced. Although accommodation very good it is beginning to show more wear and tear than some might find acceptable.
Clean and quiet Comfortable beds Very helpful owners
About 1mile from centre of downtown, but nice easy safe walk or bus/tram 1block away. Breakfast could be improved by adding cereal to toast/bagel etc.
The front desk was very helpful and welcoming. We would not hesitate to book again on our next visit to Portland. Patricia Wilmington, NC
