The staff was very friendly and helpful.

I think breakfast could have been a little better maybe included some cereal.The Wifi although free was very poor and not always available.

The staff is really friendly and helpful. They recommended great places to eat. The best part is, a couple days after our stay, we got a call from the hotel saying that we left behind a GPS device in the room. They said they will gladly mail it to us. So I gave them my payment info. We are very impressed with the honesty and helpfulness of the staff in returning a valuable item that we left behind! In addition, having a microwave oven and a small fridge was a big plus!

Dusty racks for hanging clothing. But this was not really a big deal.

For business person, the room and the facility is perfectly arrangement. The location is near the University and public transportation is very close. It is much convenient to go anywhere on foot.

Great value. Awesome location close to transit, with a ton of good food nearby. Easy to get to and from the airport via MAX (one transfer). Very friendly and helpful staff.

The room was clean, the bed was much better than the average economy motel, and it was within 10 to 12 blocks of the main part of down town Portland. Also it was close to public transportation. The staff person was very helpful and answered all our questions.

The air conditioner was a little noisy and and a bit hard to set for a comfortable night time temperature. However, its noise did mask the traffic noise so maybe it was a blessing in disguise.

Room was cold, had to pay for parking and could have stayed at a much nicer hotel for the same price. It was a business trip- 2 men in their later twenties who were trying to economize. Wouldn't go back again. Booked online and not all infor needed disclosed.

You can easy get there from highway and you are at walking distance from downtown. Two blocks from Saturday Farmers market - good suggestion from hotel staff to breath typical Portland

The bed was way to soft for us. But I am sure not for most people.

Excellent location, opposite a great selection of Portland food trucks, close to the freeway and a brief walk away from public transport options (light rail, buses and streetcar). Rooms were comfortable, warm and clean. The owner was very friendly and helpful with recommendations and it is clear he runs a tight ship. Parking inxepensive, which is good as much of downtown Portland is best explored on foot.

It was clean and quiet, and the best deal in town. Owners were friendly and the whole process was easy and nice. Location was perfect and right across the street from a bunch of food trucks.

The decor was a little dated. (Not a big problem at all tho).

We found the managers to be wonderfully warm, friendly, and helpful. The room was very clean and comfortable. We plan to stay there when we return to Portland. This hotel was a great "find" for us.

With teenagers in tow I wanted to stay close to Portland's Downtown and free streetcar lines. The location of this place was great, right off the freeway, a couple of blocks from public transportation but close enough that you could easily walk to downtown, restaurants, parks, the museum, movies and the waterfront. This part of Portland (SW) is beautiful, clean and filled with public art. We can't wait to come back. The owners of the Econo Lodge are present and very friendly, they were available to answer questions and give advise. This little Motel while a throw back to another age has been updated and is immaculate. The rooms aren't big but they have everything you need for a comfortable stay. Awesome food carts across the street as a bonus.

There was some street noise from delivery and garbage trucks early in the morning but I would stay here again.

Don't let Econo Lodge affiliation scare you off. This award winning hotel is impeccably clean, and the very personable owners insure you're well taken care of. Comfortable bed. Very good location, in the midst of Portland State u, across street from downtown tram for quick access to downtown districts. Will return next time in pdx.
