I have seen a lot of negative comments regarding this facility. Yes, it is older and has a lot of patch-work done, but if you want super ritzy feel free to take your business elsewhere instead of bad mouthing a decent facility because "it doesn't meet your expectations." Our room was incredibly spacious and the bed was super comfy. It was also really nice being able to just walk to the stadium with out having to worry that something might happen to my vehicle while we were enjoying the races.
There were only a couple of small things that I would mention as constructive criticism (these issues were so minimal to us that we did not even bother to mention them to staff - if we had, they were all sweet enough that I am sure they would have remedied the situations). 1) The pillows are TINY - we had brought our own with us on the trip so this was not an issue for us. 2) The comforter that was on our bed in a non-smoking room was covered with burn holes from what looked like cigarettes. Seeing that my fiance and I are both smokers, this didn't concern us much - but I could see where it could alarm someone who has asthma or other something similar where they can not be around items or rooms where smoking has occurred.
closeness to events and major cities. the 2 girls that checked us in were very nice and polite.
the carpets were not vacuumed. the beds were extremely hard. the sheets had dark stains. bathroom and kitchen counters need serious attention. we had to pay an additional $5.00 for a parking permit on Jan 12th or be towed. we were charged $5.00 each for the shuttle to go to at&t stadium. it didn't even take us all the way there. the shuttle was supposed to take us to the dfw airport on tues but said they were done for the day. $50.00 cab ride. this was at noon on jan 13th. room #135 from jan 9th to jan 13th.
Nice and helpful van driver
Bed very uncomfortable when husband moved shook entire bed. All furniture drawers broken, mismatched cushions. VERY unappealing.
It was very close to AT&T Stadium. There was a kitchenette in the room, but it was so dirty I wouldn't dare use it.
Our stay here was awful. We had to get two new rooms because the first one had bugs crawling in the cabinets and on the floors, the second room smelled horrible, the lights didn't work and was not clean. The staff responded with "yeah that happens" and no apologies. We had a guest get locked out of our room for 2 hours while the front desk wouldn't give her a key. The breakfast was almost inedible, and overall the place was not clean. We couldn't even get fresh towels and it was like pulling teeth to get a new roll of toilet paper. I would definitely not stay here again.
Walking distance to Whole Foods, football stadium, bars and restaurants. My shower had hot water and lots of pressure, My brother's shower was on and off again hot/cold water. The only reason we would come back here would be for location b/c we didn't have a rental car.
Very outdated rooms--very gloomy and drab. They did not answer the phone nor return our calls when we needed a shuttle from the airport. We paid a $40 taxi fair. They said they would refund the money, but the lady would not do it when we checked out b/c she didn't know how?? Very unprofessional at the front desk. We called to schedule a shuttle to leave and again they didn't answer the phone. Wifi was off and on the 3 days we were there.
The room was clean and the bed was surprisingly comfortable.
The room was very dated and worn. Most furnishings should have been replaced, except bed. There was no daily cleaning service.
Thay let us check out late.
It was up stairs.
NOTHING! this hotel sucked!!! they charge you to park in the parking lot even if your already a paying/staying customer
This hotel charges its patrons an extra 5$ fee to keep there vehicle parked in the hotel parking lot on game days! we were already paying to stay in the hotel why do we need to pay more to leave our vehicle parked? we didn't even go to the game! Tub was broken. The phone didn't work. The air conditioner made a screeching noise. The hair dryer didn't work unless you held the on button and the on button was against the wall so blow drying your hair alone was next to impossible. The pillows were about the size of travel pillows. The staff was RUDE about every thing. We asked for some more towels the next morning and after being told they only had one extra towel she basically threw the towel at me in frustration of my request. This was by far the absolute worst hotel I have ever been to and I will never ever go to another econlodge as long as I live. I will pay the extra money to stay anywhere but this chain. just horrible.
Fairly close to the ballparks, BUT...
I understand that cheaper means fewer frills. But cheaper should not mean 3 on-site police visits in the 1 day we were there, someone trying to access our room at 1:30AM with a key, and someone knocking on the door at 3:30AM looking for "Nikki." Staff seemed totally unconcerned about the cops and the night visits. Pay the extra and stay elsewhere!
clean rooms for a 40 year old motel
poor staffing. No internet in my room. Could not get missing light bulbs. Broken glass and trash in hallways for 2 days. Still there when I left.
I stay there at least three times. the first time the kitchen microwave did not work. Second time was ok. Last time not good at all. No hot water. Cold showers are not a good way to start off my morning. I told guy up front. He didn't apologize and acted like I'm just supposed to be okay with it. I will never stay there again
The location is fine.
The desk re-booked us to another room and did not change the detail on the computer. During the early hours 12:15 am our room door opened!!!! Someone gained access to a card key and we had an unwelcome visitor in our room for a few seconds. The persons then saw that the room was already occupied and left (in a hurry). 15 Minutes later there was a knock on our door and the person yelled that we are not registered on the system and we have to leave immediately! This person was the receptionist. After some hard words the Econo Lodge discovered that is their bad administration that caused this very unpleasent occurance. With a very unconvincing - sorry - from the receptionist, he left at 12:45am.... Ver bad experience in deed!
Nice full kitchen great shower and pool
Outdoor Hot tub water cold
needs carpet cleaning and the furniture very outdated abd need more breakfast choices
Roaches found in the first room. They did give me an upgrade but hard to relax after that.
Our shuttle driver informed us of the prices for a taxi for the places we wanted to go, said he would do it for half the price. We would have not been able to afford to go to the places we wanted to go if not for him.
The breakfast. Only consisted of waffels, cereal, juice, coffee, toast or bagel. Eggs, bacon, or sasuage gravy would have been real good.
Breakfast no fruit, no hot chocolate, no yogurt, waffle machine not always working. Room it was reported we were missing a light bulb and never replaced. Fan to circulate air reported and never fixed. WiFi worked sometime. Room had a kitchen but no dishes. Room had a refrigerator but no ice trays.
no towels had problem getting a room after making reservation thirty day in advance, roaches in room no up today tv air condition not working right the was very hot an it the worst hotel I ever stay at in my life an I will not be recommend to anybody
The motel need major face lift very very outdated and the staff need traning
We arrived for the 3PM check in, with hopes to get ready for a 6PM concert at AT&T stadium. Upon being givin our room we were informed that our AC did not work, and they would be in and out of the room until 5PM to fix it. I told them to wait until after we left to fix, but the room was about 90 degrees, and uninhabitable. All other hotels were sold out because of the concert, and after 30 minutes of complaining, they finally gave us another room. Although I do feel sorry for whoever they gave the non-AC room too, at least we were able to make the concert. This was especially annoying because I had booked the hotel 6 months in advance, and we had just driven 500 miles.
The staff was very friendly. Ivy in particular was very helfpul. The van driver was on top of all of his many duties - good man! When we asked for an extra blanket or towel or whatever, the service was prompt and courteous.
there was a bit of a problem with the temperature control of the shower.
