The Comfort Inn The Pointe is located at the entrance of Niagara Falls State Park and so close to Niagara Falls you can feel the mist.
Score from 296 reviews Very good
I reserved this room last July for a concert I attended Columbus Day weekend. The price was affordable compared to other hotels I the area and it was within walking distance to the park.
The room had a strong disinfectant smell so we immediately opened the door and window to let in fresh air which helped. I'm not sure they wash the bedspreads after each guest stay so those came off the bed too. Didn't like the stand up shower so we decided to check out and go home early.
very close to Niagara Falls, good location, free WIFI
Dirty beds. We opened bed and there were somebodys hair on sheets. So we didn`t sleep on the sheets, just couldn`t. Shower was stuck in one position , couldn`t turn it down. We had one tiny shower gel and shampoo in our bathroom for three people! When we went down for breakfast, it was very poor - porridge, muffins and plain toast, we didn`t even eat it, room was so dirty, chairs and tables dirty! You can`t eat in place like that. We needed place to stay for one night but I woudn`t go back there again.
Location which was close to the area attractions
Location was a 5 to 10 minute walk to trolleys, falls and the park. Staff was helpful and changed rooms for us.
Facility was run down and seemed dirty.Breakfast was awful. The room really varies price wise . It seems a medium price range with only a fair facility. Towels were sheet thin!
Inexpensive; close to Casino.
Front desk implied that parking behind the hotel would be OK. The 'paid' lot is usually unmanned after Labor Day. Unfortunately, upon departure, there was an attendant trying to collect parking fees. Also, hallway noise came through door.
It was small old motel, but very central for everything. In walking distance to The Falls and to Canada
I'm sorry to say, but the most awful breakfast, i have ever had in USA.
Location Hospitality Price
Excellent location, the Niagara Falls are reachable by feet, free to park a car by the hotel
Breakfast was too simple, low cleanest in breakfast room, in lift and in corridors
Met counter staffs, both are very friendly. 7mins walking distance to Niagara Falls.
The hotel is quite old, but heard that they going to renovate it next year.
Hotel was an older building, and needed a facelift, for the money it wasn't worth it. Also after the fact I learned hair driers are only available upon request, There was a promient smell of curry in the building since down stairs there was an Indian restrauant. On the brighter side Matt at the front desk was extremely helpful in recommending places to eat and gave great directions to all the local sights. Thanks Matt !
Very close to falls
Price and facilities
Hotel was a bit grubby and tired. Needs a make over Breakfast was poor
I was fortunate enough to find one free parking spot when I returned from the concert/casino, but would not stay there again when I travel alone. tv was nice. Slept well. room was easy to get to.
The ad. said free parking. when I got there she said if the lot is full, I had to park around the block. I was alone and unfamiliar with the area (and not good at directions). There was no place to park when I got there, so I drove to the casino. I was coming back from the casino late. I worried about that while at the casino. almost thought about spending the whole night at the casino so I didn't have to walk alone to the motel. I had trouble finding the place. Had to stop at the Comfort Inn to ask for directions.
the size of the bed.
Didn't have "the free" internet service...wasn't working and we needed to take care of urgent business.I've seen niced pool towels then what we had for bath towels..ragged. Old TV. Noisy hallways. Breakfast was poor with no choices of protein to eat. Even orange juice was "Sunny Delight". No in room coffee and coffee in lobby sat on a burner all evening. These guy need to start over on a decent place for lodging. When my husband saw a bug on the wall and couldn't identify it I just hoped it wasn't in my bed the night before..
Location. Staff were friendly.
Needs update. Toilet was loose. Towels were worn out. Hallways smelled bad. Furniture was worn out
walking distance to the casino, falls & attractions. the staff at check -in & check - out were very friendly & cheerful.
Good location, friendly staff.
Can work a little bit on the cleanliness level.
It was value for money. The staff were very helpful. Rooms were simple and clean. Location was very close to the falls. They had an Indian restaurant within their premises. Some cab services gave 20% discount. I had seen horrible reviews and was very apprehensive but I liked my stay over here. I didn't expect luxury and was not disappointed.
The wifi connection in the rooms could have been better. The breakfast could have had some sausages, eggs too.
Room layout - nice to have a balcony with cross breeze
Could use a little updating, poor breakfast facilities (unless you want toast)
.Staff very nice.
Poor value for the money.Exterior trash and food spills on grounds . Nasthy. I was very uncomfortable.Very poor up-keep .
Front desk staff was good.
Rooms were stinking . Toilets were Ok but towels were worn out. The whole place gave a shabby appearance. Not worth the money spent.
- The kitchen and breakfast area is good. We enjoyed having the buffet breakfast and the variety of items they provide. - The location is good. It is within a short walk to the falls.
- The room was really bad. This is similar to motels with 80% less money. The Econo Lodge at the Falls has better rooms, but we were given a smaller, smelly and dirty room. This was a rip off. - The hall and elevator is old and smelly. They need to renovate them.
Location good, free parking, helpful desk staff
The decor could really do with updating - a lick of paint and some new chairs that are not stained, ripped or wet would work wonders. Chairs and vending machine just outside our room door made it noisy.
Staff seemed nice
Front door wouldn't shut without a shoulder push. Towels were horrible, tiny ripped and felt like sandpaper. Pillows were bad and had a smell too them, flat from overuse. Room was run down, picture had broken glass in it, looked like a child had repainted the room. Shall i go on???
