Good price, convenient to airport.
Neighborhood a little sleazy.
Have stayed here a couple of times.Close to zoo, museums, and Oakland A,s spring training.Clean quiet place.Limited eating est.Bill Johnsons big apple about a mile away.Good selection of food.
All was good.
Everything was what a top notch motel could offer except......
location. It is inan older section of town and it meant we wouldn't walk the streets.
Close to airport
Breakfast was a joke. They were really cheap on all food didn't even have creamers for coffee. Old and cold packaged Danishs 8 channels on tv. Old towels. Shady part of town.
OK price, near the airport. Our rooms looked well designed, but were badly maintained.
Smoke alarm started chirping loudly at 4 AM - obviously they didn't test or replace the batteries. A foul smell came from the sink when running water, probably due to improper plumbing. And the sink faucet was broken. Wifi too weak to use. Nothing but packaged muffins for breakfast.
Short distance to air port, good price
wifi connection is slow, no coffee maker or other amenities.
Free convenient shuttle to and from the airport.
Everything within the Econolodge was very good - bed, room, clean, wifi, breakfast at 4am, etc. It is close to PHX airport without hearing any noise from the aircraft.
Located in industrial area known for prostitutes nearby, but Econolodge did not appear to cater to this sleaze.
The location as people are stating is seedy but it is an area of regeneration. Close to the airport which is convenient, on a bus route to take you places and near the light rail. Rooms were clean, tidy and beds were large comfortable. Great value for the money.
Breakfast on the last day was limited to say the least. They need to have fresh fruit option or even some hard boiled eggs and a meat (protein) option. The Wi Fi for guests was not turned on on the first day, had the desk staff check on day 2.
very helpful staff throughout, the gent on afternoon duties even drew us a map of how to get to the veterans club after the parade & completed our visit to phoenix. exelent.
The double kerb outside the rooms can be missed in the dark.
airport shuttle not far from the airport the night clerk very good and kind not rude
the wifi was not very good although close to the airport the surrounding area is not all that great.
Do not expect anything of the breakfast, no yoghurt, milk or fruit available.
I stayed night of Nov 30, 2014 hotel seemed to be newly renovated. New carpet, mattresses, etc. 24 hour free shuttle to airport was main reason I stayed here
Seemed to be in shady part of town, industrial area close to airport, but no problems encountered. Nice hotel in bad part of town
Shuttle Service to Airport. Clean Room. Good Staff at Check in
Area is not close to restaurants or shopping.
You can't expect too much for the price. However even at the low price it was all good enough, in particular for an early flight out. (remember the price when evaluating this place). Breakfast opens early enough so you can actually get something, unlike a number of higher priced places that first start breakfast at like 6.
No coffee maker in room. Buying machines probably would not cost much for so many rooms. If they don't want to give free coffee, sell packs at desk or from automat. Breakfast, even at room price, could be slightly improved like some fresh fruit. And naturally you should be permitted to take breakfast to room but the signs are emphatic about NO REMOVAL of food from breakfast area (because of course they figure people are taking for their flight - dont worry about it Econo!). SHUTTLE - only once an hour. Not good, means leaving maybe an hour earlier than necessary which is definitely not what you want when we are talking about starting day at 4 AM maybe to get their breakfast.
Free shuttle to airport, Best place in the area. Economic, long-term parking. Efficient staff. Renovated and comfy. Best value.
Upon check-in we found Keith to be Friendly & helpful & very courteous. The rooms were clean & comfortable, & I noticed that the building had recent improvements & the parking lot was well maintained. Will return.
The services with the shuttle and accommodation.
we stayed here back in March and the facility was fair. We then stayed on 11/22/14 and the rooms were redone, much cleaner and felt safer!
Needed a place near the airport to catch a flight in the morning. This motel had a free shuttle to and from the airport. Add in a comfortable bed, a continental breakfast and free wi-fi, the Econolodge was a definite value.
Shuttle to the airport only came once every hour, on the hour.
Pleasantly surprised at how nice this place was . Great value for money . The room was spacious and clean. King size bed ehich was comfortable. When I arrived at 1 am the staff were friendly and helpful. Breakfast was simple but nice, with porridge/ bagels/ muffins / coffee/ tea/ juice. Fred shuttle to airport, book shuttle night before to guarantee a place. They run hourly and take around 20-30 minutes
The price was excellent and the location is great. The free shuttle gets you to and from the airport in 15 minutes and the staff at the motel are great.
Close to airport, shuttle on time and drivers were excellent. Room comfortable and quiet. Would stay there again
We tried to check in at 1pm, the desk clerk told us that room was available but would be $20 extra to check in before 3pm.When I pointed out that the reservation said 2pm, she said that's just booking.com and if I went someplace else she would charge us for the night as a no show. We left and came back at 3 and a new clerk was very pleasant and that a charge for early check in was not the policy. Obviously, she tried to rip us off
We thought our room especially on our 2nd visit was excellent. Staff was very courteous and extra helpful.
The room and pillows!
The beds this time seem to be a bit lummpy this time.
