The room was very clean and have a microwave refrigerator and cable access
Two people who worked front desk
No hot water when I had to shower at 4:00 am. I then could not get into the office I had to use an outside window. I then could not get coffee which was the type u merely push a button for. The man who checked me out was rude and told me if I want coffee to go to dunken donuts. I basically paid money to sleep a few hrs a night. Which that too was challenging due to the heavy chemical smell of cleaning products they see to have used on the rugs. It burned my eyes and throat which on turn affected my sleep. I loved at several rooms on the beginning and they all had the same smell. I will not stay here again. Thank u.
The location was good.
The breakfast facilities were non existent and the quality of food offered not great
The 'breakfast' room was minuscule & almost unusable with several people crowded in it. The woman at the front desk appeared irritated when we asked for what we needed (cups for coffee & syrup)
Easy to find, quiet, helpful staff.
A bit rundown and soulless.
The hallway was very dirty and smelly
condition of the room (old and dirty) along with the overwhelming odor of smoke.
A shopping center and a Whole Foods Market basically across the street.
The ventilation in the toilet/shower room was very noisy. Soundproofing from outside and from other rooms was poor. Breakfast included minimal choices. The WiFi connection was slow and very unreliable - you often had to deconnect and reconnect manually. The electronic key to the room didn't work once. I asked for a quiet room, but got nr 203 so the phone rang twice in the middle of the night from people trying to make local calls. Calls to front desk were answered 1 time out of 3.
The location is the only thing to recommend this hotel but for an extra 20$ a night you could find something much better in the same area. Norwalk Inn is only about 5 minutes away.
Very unclean. Staff was inefficient and sometimes rude, especially at check-in. Our reservation from booking.com was not in there system and I had to make all the calls and verification's myself with no help at all from the check in clerk except to provide me with the login information for the WiFi so that I could do my search on the internet for the booking.com phone number. I had to use my own cell phone to make the call. Good thing I had an international phone package added for my trip to the States because the wait for a booking.com customer service representative to answer was over 10 minutes. The bathroom was disgusting. First thing my daughters and I did was go to Stew Leonards to buy bathroom cleaner and scrubbers to wash the bathtub. You could see the difference from where I had cleaned and what was left to be cleaned. The beds and sheets were full of wholes from cigarette burns and the covers were torn and ragged. The only thing that seemed descent on the bed was the bed spread but I didn't dare lie on it because I wasn't sure when it had been washed last. Oh, and the smell was terrible. I had requested a non-smoking room with double beds through booking.com. By the time my reservation was faxed by the customer service rep from booking.com to the hotel check-in clerk, no non-smoking rooms were available. They offered a smoking with two king size beds and they sent someone to spray the room to remove the odor..........it did not help at all. In a nutshell, there was nothing I liked about the stay here.
Price, location for my purposes, comfort and cleanliness of the room, the respectful and kindness of the staff.
Signage for the EconoLodge was, to my experience, could not be seen from Rte. 1. As a result I missed it and lost time in getting to my meeting. The address is 469 Westport Ave., but, as a driver, you're thought is that you are Rte. 1, not sure, as an out-of-towner if you are on Westport Ave. or not.
The night guy at the check in was rude and inefficient. He utilized the same check in procedures I imagine were used in the 1800's. I asked him several questions regarding the hotel (parking, Wi-Fi, etc.) which he proceeded to ignore, at one point asking me to please stop talking. The place was dingy and run down, stay at the doubletree.
Musty and smelled of cigs
After seeing the condition of the room I checked out right away . I was charged for 3 nights on my visa and currently trying to get reimbursed.
Love the friendly staff, wifi and breakfast included. The place is strategically located off of Westport Ave just down the road, north of Stew Leonard's - The World's Largest Dairy Store. Water pressure in the shower is awesome!!
The place is pet-friendly. This can be a positive and a negative at the same time. The room has a funky smell to it, as in there was a pet here but they couldn't remove the smell out fast enough. (should use baking soda to remove)
Loitering of shady characters
The customer service was good.
The appearance didn't look very clean!
too many people loitering at night by stairwell - management was alerted and did nothing about it
The room had an overwhelming odor of aerosol room freshener. I left the door open with fan but no relief. The smell was so strong I couldn't sleep because I couldn't breathe. Plus the entire place looked like a reclaimed slum inside and out. Dumpster across from the office filled with old furniture, lampshades etc. And you wouldn't believe the 'free' b'fast. Disgraceful.
Everything was real good. Their staff Nirali treated my son excellently and I really would want to visit again with my family.
Arrange an airport shuttle from new york airport
The odor in the room was very unpleasant, the carpet was not clean, greasy, and we felt that the continental breakfast was below average. We would have left it it weren't so late when we arrived from NH for a family celebration in E. Norwalk. We would never return to this location. The man who registered us was cordial himself and the process was not complicated. Also it was a little difficult to see the motel from the avenue.
it turned out to be quite
location questionable , front desk was short tempered Wi-Fi went out did not come back on
Staff was very nice, and when I came back at night the room was always clean.
Wifi was very poor and most of the time i could not connect at all.
Sheets, comforter and mattress were very hard, not comfortable at all. Shower water was entirely too hot or not hot at all. When i arrived at the hotel, they didn't even have a record of my reservation so I had to waste time by calling CS so they could confirm my reservation.
Location of hotel to other food facilities
damp carpet, cracking floor - guests one level down called to ask him to not trample on the floor
There was nothing we liked about this motel. Truly disgusting!
I thought the reviews I read about this motel were people just being overly picky. I now realise they were spot on. The room was a previous smoking room, black mould on the bathroom ceiling, the lamps didn't work. There was food on the floor and burnt in the microwave. No hot water and there were some unsavoury items on the floor next to the bed.
