The price, the staff, the room.
Staff were very warm and helpful
Access to Motel needs to be PLAINLY and OBVIOUSLY marked at highway. (Maybe I missed it.)
Room was very nicely done/updated.
Room was located on same side as gas station next door - heard car doors opening and shutting all night even though I had fan on highest setting and lights from station peeking through curtains. Also, even though I was in a non-smoking room, could smell smoke throughout hallways and near my entrance door.
Pet friendly. Staff was courteous.
The hallway had poor ventilation. The smell of smoke just permeated the hallway from the smokers rooms upstairs. The smoke drifted down stairways . Not good for those of us that are non smokers and have allergies.
The price and quite the people and the staff
The beds were comfortable and the lady that checked us in was great! She explained how the red roof inn red card worked and was very helpful!
We had a lot of trouble with our room key. I think there were two days of our ten day stay that we did not have to go all the way to the front desk to get it reset.
I like everything
Value for the money
The evening front desk employee (older woman) was extremely congenial and very informative and personable. Very professional. The breakfast bar was excellent.
The room was dirty, (sink and bathroom had not been cleaned properly), the sink stopper was broken and disconnected, the room smelled musty upon entering, the access to the room via "back door" was terrible and the room attendant (Ray?) that was to clean our room was rude, threatening and rushed us out with verbal insults and attempted to enter our room twice before we were ready to exit (After we notified the front desk we were running late on check out and they said it was ok ) This man crossed the "line " several times both verbally and physically ( I had to block him from entering and shut the door as he ranted at us) Because of his actions, I will never return to this nor any other Red Roof Inn and if this were my motel operation I would terminate him immediately !
The beds have always been very comfortable, and for a person with back problems, this is most welcomed!
The window in our room had cracks in it; we had a problem with ants in our room; room had a whirlpool tub w/shower that did not work; desk clerk at checkout had problem getting a receipt printed for us.
Bathroom too small. Felt claustrophobic. Was a downer. Lack of bath mat is safety hazard. Even with dippled tub bottom, it is seriously slick.
Owner was trying to make obvious needed improvements. Paint, carpet, etc.
Only complaint was the lack of detail in cleanliness of the shower. Pubic hairs remained from the prior attendant of the room all over the shower and in bedded into the wash cloths.
Room reeked of cigarette smoke (non-smoking room). Entire hotel had bad odors. Noisy environment, hard mattress, handle missing on tub faucet. Overall poor experience for price range.
The people at the desk are very nice, except for the night shift. The night shift is kind of stuck up. (2013)
When my husband and I got our room there was a huge wolf spider in bath tub, it had built a web all throughout the tub. My husband went up to the hotel desk and they didn't do anything about it. My husband came back to the room and told me that the man at the desk said " oh s***" that's it. (2013)
