Cheap. 10 min from bart. Very close to the lake.
Strong smell in the room. I once sleep with a t-shirt and the smell from the bed wouldn't go away until laundry cleaned. No internet. No hair conditioner.
The Wifi connection was good, thats it ! Check out and cancellation without problems
Staff, stinky room, mold on shower curtain, mold in storage room, wet carpet, dirty room, the lid of the toilet tank was loose, didnt fit the tank, the sink was not secured to the wall, bugs in the room
Nothing in that place
So dirty and old, everything is broken, bad breakfast, no house keeping clean my room, there was a hokers coming 5 the place look for a men, there was guys selling girls, it is the worst place we ever been it was so bad.
The room smelled like someone had been smoking there, even though it was a non-smoking room. The smoke may also have come from the outside.
Staff was excellent. Good location.
There was a draft coming from the window or door that made it extremely hard to sleep and made me sick
restroom needs a makeover
Room is in a bad condition including the bathroom. Needs renovation and maintenance. No good value for money.
Shower and Toilette didn't work! After telling the guys at the registration no one did anything about it! This hotel isn't worth it's name!
Location - the Lake and BART are convenient. Basic, but okay and clean.
Noisy - my room had a (lockable) joining door with the next room. The people next door might as well have been in my room.
I enjoyed the location , close to Downtown Oakland, and Lake Merritt.
The bathrooms leave something to be desired. They seem old, need to be remodeled, modernized.
Location is nice, out the front, Lake Merritt. Late night don't wonder much more than two blocks the opposite way.
The Wi-Fi is free and rarely works. Always dropping/ cutting off and the front office staff, scratch that, can only speak of the General Manager, knows nothing about the service provided or even how to perform a simple reset. He looked at his cell phone and informed me his WiFi was on! Yikes!!!
I stayed for a week, maid came twice to clean. My shower was clogged and never cleaned with hair and dirt. Restroom floor was never cleaned with hair all over.
Rooms were dirty and old. Bad area and noisy.
Low cost for the Bay area, friendly check in staff, handy to Lake Merritt but few shops and restaurants close by. Bart stop about 10 minutes walk away.
Place is run down with a broken elevator and emptied pool. Rooms are basic and quite tired. No phone and hotel Wi-Fi signal not strong enough to connect. Some check-in hiccups.
Customer Service Sucks. The Last time I stayed their I had gone in the morning to verify my stay and asked for a ground floor room because I have issue's with stairs they did not do that. I was so tired when I arrived I had to take the 3rd floor room. The Clerk didn't even check to see if someone might be checking out the next day so I could move into their room. No Customer Service at all. No phone in my room Ihe windown could not be opened. If I stay there again it will only be for location purposes. Also the first time I stayed there I noticed when I went out the maids didn't vaccum.
There is a fridge and microwave.
The cleaning crew only comes at the end of your stay, so we had to request fresh towels and came back to unmade beds. There are no outlets, only power strips. There isn't an iron or hair dryer to borrow so you have to bring your own.
Location is close to pretty parkland and still close enough to San Francisco but nice and quiet. Large room and comfy bed. Great tv channels.
Bathroom was pretty average and needs an update. Toilet blocked and we were supplied a plunger to fix ourselves.
It was close to the lake. The parking lot was monitored and they locked the gate.
The cleanliness wasn't very good. There was hair on our bathroom floor. And the room was old and not well maintained
Made reservations via booking.com when I showed up the reservation had been cancelled because they said no credit card on file. They didn't bother to call either
Location close to Lake Merritt and Jack London Square.
WiFi was poor, lost connection too often. Bathroom could have been better.
The staff were really nice. Got a room away from everyone which I asked for. It was a decent size room & felt/smelt clean. It's cheap & better than a motel. Some incredible graffiti pieces to look at out the back window. Really impressed. Not connected to the hotel.
They are obviously trying to change the feel of the place & no more walk in cash paying customers which is good. Though it still did have a sleezy feel about it. Our room over looked the swimming pool, which was mostly empty & had not been used in a long long time. That'll be a nice feature when they do get that up & running.
Near San Francisco and cheap. Nice TV
You don't stay in the sky scraper in the photo but the 1940s motel belonging to the parking lot in the foreground. Had problems with the hot water in the shower and with getting extra towels. Free breakfast consists of a boxed cereal and coffee
Prime location next to the lake and minutes from downtown.
I didn't like the joke. This isn't even close to a good value. It is a motel. Dirty. Lack of even basic customer comforts, like coffee and an iron. The maid left a cigar on the floor and the linen on the dresser next to the tv. People partied outside my door at midnight on the small walkway overlooking the parking lot. My curtains wouldn't close all the way. The bed left me feeling like I slept on the floor. It took 40 minutes to check in. My complaints to the management fell on deaf ears. And that's just the highlights. I prefer not to go on for fear this nightmare will haunt me in my dreams. Whatever you do, don't stay at America's worst Value Inn.
the cleanliness,and the peacefulness.
the breakfast was lacking
