The experience we had wasn't bad, but the people who run it/own it have a different definition of clean than we do. , it wasn't like some of the horror stories people have posted on here, but it does need a good cleaning and to be cared for better. Of course if they did that, they'd charge more. The sleeper sofa, had no mattress on it, so I went to the office and asked for the mattress they brought over a twin mattress and made due with the sofa cushions to make up the difference! If you want everything like a 4 star hotel, you're going to pay much more. This isn't a 4 star hotel by any stretch, but it fit my budget.
The location is what is keeping this place alive as it's right just over the bridge from Ocean City and very inexpensive. From the street, the motel is very charming, with the pool out front and looks to be well taken care of. The people running it are nice and try to be accommodating, when they discovered that we had three little ones, they got us a suite which looks to be the one in the photo on their website but the picture is misleading. The suite was the better of the rooms as we learned from other travelers, had a large room w/two queen beds and a couch, then another bedroom with another queen bed and a pull out sleeper, unfortunately without a mattress. Plus the suite came with a kitchenette so it wasn't a bed deal. There are also restaurants close by and the board walk is seriously a 5 minute drive.
