Nicely renovated clean basic room, very comfy bed, reasonable price for the area. Easy check-in & out, pleasant staff. Nice clean breakfast room.Great, walkable village location.
Heater blew alternately hot/cold air. No luggage stand in room. Breakfast is very basic.
Breakfast was included, staff was very friendly, the room was fair for the price, right in the heart of ellicottville! I would definitely stay again!
Not a lot of parking, but there was parking available on the street.
The location to downtown Ellicottville.
I requested and paid for an upgrade on booking.com last week for a "Deluxe" room with 2 queen beds My Booking # was 240827591. When my group got there there were no rooms available with 2 queen beds. It was very uncomfortable to only have 2 full size beds.
Great location-stayed in Suite 900! Very cozy & inviting space- the bed was extremely comfortable.
The bathroom was huge with a wet bar - closet - large walk-in shower. The sink area was not well planned because there was nowhere to put your toiletries & no convenient outlet to plug in your hair dryer etc! Sorry but I really would prefer a door on the bathroom & doors on the shower!
Great location, nice room
Construction was going on but was not a problem. Should be really nice when done.
The continental breakfast was good
The continental breakfast was downstairs and it was not handicap accessible. I have a bad hip and it was difficult for me to go up and down the stairs. A wheelchair would not be able to get to the breakfast. The room was scheduled for remodeling after our visit. It needed it badly! I thought the price was too high for the condition of the room.
Loved the location and the price. Room was adequate.
I know they're n the middle of a renovation, but it was still a bit shabby. Bed spread, although clean, was stained.
Busy weekend staff was a bit short
You cannot beat the location, right in the heart of Ellicottville. The price is also pretty good.
The cleanliness was awful. We were in the main building the first time we were there a few months ago, which was awesome and new! This time we were put in 202, a supposed "standard queen room" with a pulled up carpet and a full bed. Sorry, not acceptable. When I complained and let them know that the bed was not the correct size (my better half is 6 foot 3 and does not fit in a full bed) she assured me it was a queen. I told her I would walk her across the way and show her that it is not a queen. She then put me in 205, a king room. Bed was huge but there were dead bugs in our room, with a running toilet. Someone had a fly swatter in there and there was dead flies splattered on the walls. So very, very disappointing this time around.
Bed was comfortable
Could not find front desk, parking was very confusing, place under renovation, no room numbers on doors - we could not even find our room. Our room door had been painted so they left the door open all day - we had flies in the room all night. A very large silverfish crawling across the floor surprised my wife. Place was in total confusion.
The bed was very comfortable. The room was big. It was pretty clean for the most part. Could open the windows for fresh air. Friendly staff. Nice large tub/shower.
The only part of the room that wasn't clean was the tub. There was a lot of soap scum on the faucet and tub. Although you could open the windows, they were very dirty as were the screens/sills. The outside was run down-needs to be cleaned, painted and some of the screens replaced (tears/holes). No phone in the room. No iron in the room. Did not see any snack machines.
The town was great and the hotel stay was very enjoyable - we were upgraded and I believe the only people in the entire complex. They had a full breakfast for us despite being the only guests.
Separate creepy building. rust in bathtub (disgusting). when leaving I had to wake someone and no "did you have a nice stay, etc.". no desk in room...had to use bed. Just awful.
CHECK OUT TIME SHOULD BE LATER THAN 10:00 AM
Location was excellent
Practices related to scanning of personal id on checkin.....I Would not allow them to do it ..they should inform guests in advance and this is simply inappropriate in today's climate of fraud! Manager was rude and in no way addressed out concerns Room was expensive for having no door on bathroom and kitchen and bathroom in same room. This was not what we expected.
Had no hot water for a day and half. They sed they wud compensate me for it, but never did
Location, landscaping was nice
Small bathroom....dirty...sorry but bathroom was dirty, almost afraid to touch anything, carpet on all floors were very dirty or stained, very musty smell..
The location was convenient to all sites.
The check in greeter was not friendly when we entered n
Sense we where there for the IBO Archery shoot the location was the best we ever had
A coffee pot or even having the Breakfast area open at 7:00 AM instead of 8:00 would have been nice. It was a real pain looking for a coffee shop early morning. The rooms could have been a little cleaner.
Excellent location with respect to downtown Ellicotville. I did get them to refund some of my money with the help of booking.com.
We waited 20 minutes for someone to come to three front desk. I had rung the bell and actually called the hotel while standing in the lobby. The room we were given was part of a small building detached from the main hotel. The room was horrible. It had a musty smell when we walked in. There were ceiling tiles missing and others were stained from a roof leak. The room was tiny and the bathroom was disgusting. Even the window shades were crooked. I did ask about a different room but they were sold out, (everywhere was) it was a busy weekend in Ellicottville. I complained to a different person behind the counter the bevy morning and they said that the room should not be rented out but the new owners just think about making money.
Rooms were gorgeous and big!
No cash payments when we registered...they take cash only certain times when certain personnel is working
Location was great and walk to local bars and coffee shops.
Room was a dump, old crunchy bath towels and security was questionable as no chain lock on door. The carpet was badly stained as well as the loveseat and chair in room... I would not even sit on it!
The room was comfortable and spacious.
No way to contact the front desk,
I loved the little town that was near.
Everything was an older place but it was like I was in an attic bedroom. The bed was very uncomfortable the tv was very old. it was just like I had my first apartment a very cheap first apartment. when I went to check out the front lobby was not open and it was 7:30 in the morning. just not what I was expecting from a ski lodge. The pictures they had on the internet were of the other rooms and not the one that I was in. the town itself was beautiful I would visit the town again but not stay in the same place.
