Staff was amazing! Great location.
The room had black smoke coming in all night long like sleeping on the roof of a steam train. Terrible. Their was no water in the room so bad on the old headache. Gotta call to get in if after 2am.
The staff was helpful.
Window did not have a lock on it. Complimentary tea was Luke warm. Room very small.
Relatively cheap hotel. Clean rooms. Very friendly people at the reception.
The rooms are very small but that is ok for 1-2 nights. The area where the hotel is located is not very good. The number of homeless people that are out in the street tremendous and is sooo sad.
Hotel staff is kind and obliging - gave us excellent directions and advices to explore the city and its nightlife.
No issues with hot water as some others had reported. Beds were very comfortable. Staff was very friendly and helpful.
Elevator was broken on our last day and no one was around to check us out.
The staff were very friendly and helpful. Hotel was nice and clean and very Victorian.
The area where the hotel was situated was not very safe, a lot of homeless people around and also people very much under the influences of substances on the street nearby and on the tram journey.
No hot water and they could do nothing about it (staff) Walls are so thin you heard from your neighbours. Very difficult to sleep. Location is so bad. Be careful some homeless people could enter with you in the hostel late night. Do not come if you have children.
I loved the colorful rooms.
Small room, one bed for my son and I, and no air conditioning! It was hot, cramped and very overpriced! Not worth it.
High price , no fridge , no facilities ( hair dryer etc)
The staff were very friendly and helpful. Rooms nicely decorated. Muni stop right outside
Our room smelled badly of smoke on our first night it was fine on our second night we could even open the window but on the third and fourth night it was back though not as bad as the Sunday.
Style of room, staff friendliness, small size bourique hotel
Noise: impossible to sleep in one stretch, poor windows which do not filter noise, shower: sometimes no hot water, no (fluctuating) pressure, small beds
Staff was helpful. Bed was comfortable. Location is convenient to transit, was able to get a quick taxi twice as it's right on Market. Van Ness Muni station is 2 blocks away.
However, location was rather iffy at night, and the room was less than comfortable in terms of decor. Even in the back there was some noise on the top floor from the street.
The staff was just amazing, service oriented. I had troubles with my reservation and they helped me all the way. The only thing missing from that hotel is breakfasts
A little bit far from union square (walking) but great location overall
it is difficult to find a beautiful hotel in USA at an affordable price. The price is still high but you get a very nice staff who give you all the possible tips of where to go to or which restaurant to pick or information about the transport. The rooms are nice, the bed is big enough and you have a good bathroom. Also good internet-connection.
Location was excellent; great food within easy walking distance, public transportation very accessible and easy to navigate.
Chair in room was definitely uncomfortable.
The staff were wonderful: friendly, interesting and very helpful. The location was great. At first glance we thought we were in the middle of nowhere, but acting on the suggestions of the staff we found some very funky locations; great food and wine areas, excellent restaurants, inspiring art and design centres and excellent music. It was also very easy to get around San Francisco and surrounding areas with public transport from the hotel.
Rooms were very small, but comfortable.
Very helpfull and friendly staff.
Poor decor of bedroom, noisey road outside, bathroom and toilet off main room.
Centrally located Great staff Free wifi (strong connection) Good price Public transit close by Very clean
Bathrooms outside of room (shared)
The staff was mostly friendly and the area is excellent. The bathrooms are hideous and it smells super bad. The restaurant near by burns grease all day. Gave me a headache and made naps miserable. The beds are comfortable and clean. Free coffee and tea was nice
The location and staff were second to none. Centrally located to the city centre and good transport links too. Reception staff where very friendly and helpful.
My room was clean and decorated beautifully. The issue was Market Street is a very busy main road and the windows are not insulated or double glazed so the wind and noise was pretty bad. Also the wifi was really poor, so hard to search the internet and impossible to use skype.
Staff were excellent, it was close to Hayes St which had many shops, boutiques, restaurants and bars.
The surrounding areas are a bit sketchy. As a single female I didn't feel safe waking down some stretches of market st to get to the hotel. The room itself was very basic and the front desk doesn't carry amenities that most other hotels do, so if you need a comb or toothbrush you need to walk to buy one.
Access to the F car and restaurants
No iron no or air con
Staff Front desk Location Security Free coffee
Small room Room view
The entire staff is absolutely the best! Warm, friendly, and extremely helpful. Great neighborhood and very close to some killer restaurants. Rooms are very comfortable, as was the bed. Big hotel amenities in a small boutique property. Can't wait to come back!!!
No A.C. meant open windows which meant tons of street noise but a really nice cool evening breeze. Just ask for a room that doesn't overlook Market street.
Hotel is really nice and staff are very helpful.
In a very bad area, there are homeless people everywhere, I wouldnt walk down the street on my own past 6pm. Very expensive for the area its in.
