I loved the colorful rooms.
Small room, one bed for my son and I, and no air conditioning! It was hot, cramped and very overpriced! Not worth it.
The staff were very friendly and helpful. Rooms nicely decorated. Muni stop right outside
Our room smelled badly of smoke on our first night it was fine on our second night we could even open the window but on the third and fourth night it was back though not as bad as the Sunday.
Style of room, staff friendliness, small size bourique hotel
Noise: impossible to sleep in one stretch, poor windows which do not filter noise, shower: sometimes no hot water, no (fluctuating) pressure, small beds
Staff was helpful. Bed was comfortable. Location is convenient to transit, was able to get a quick taxi twice as it's right on Market. Van Ness Muni station is 2 blocks away.
However, location was rather iffy at night, and the room was less than comfortable in terms of decor. Even in the back there was some noise on the top floor from the street.
Location was excellent; great food within easy walking distance, public transportation very accessible and easy to navigate.
Chair in room was definitely uncomfortable.
The staff were wonderful: friendly, interesting and very helpful. The location was great. At first glance we thought we were in the middle of nowhere, but acting on the suggestions of the staff we found some very funky locations; great food and wine areas, excellent restaurants, inspiring art and design centres and excellent music. It was also very easy to get around San Francisco and surrounding areas with public transport from the hotel.
Rooms were very small, but comfortable.
Very helpfull and friendly staff.
Poor decor of bedroom, noisey road outside, bathroom and toilet off main room.
Centrally located Great staff Free wifi (strong connection) Good price Public transit close by Very clean
Bathrooms outside of room (shared)
The location and staff were second to none. Centrally located to the city centre and good transport links too. Reception staff where very friendly and helpful.
My room was clean and decorated beautifully. The issue was Market Street is a very busy main road and the windows are not insulated or double glazed so the wind and noise was pretty bad. Also the wifi was really poor, so hard to search the internet and impossible to use skype.
Access to the F car and restaurants
No iron no or air con

Hotel is really nice and staff are very helpful.
In a very bad area, there are homeless people everywhere, I wouldnt walk down the street on my own past 6pm. Very expensive for the area its in.
Location--while some reviewers "warned" about the neighborhood, one wonders how much time they spend in urban areas...
It was unseasonably warm during our stay. With no air conditioning, the hotel would certainly benefit by adding ceiling fans in their rooms. It would be a nice touch anytime during the year...
Very friendly and helpful staff, close to some good restaurants and shops, far enough away from the tourist area yet easy to get there of you want to. Comfortable rooms although a bit small but they were good enough for us to want to go back again.
The San Francisco weather but no one can change that.
Location of the hotel is great. Lots of cafes and restaurants only a short walk away. The staff are very knowledgeable and friendly.
There is a wood-fire oven restaurant next door. the exhaust blows directly into the second floor rooms windows. So smells like you are sleeping next to campfire in your room The building was quite old, hence does not have some basic modern facilities people expect; there is no wardrobe to hang shirts / dresses, only small IKEA fold out hook think (next to the window) so your clothes smell like camp fire There is no air conditioning, they do have fans on request. there is no where to put the fan when you get it. there is very little floor space to open your bags, and nothing to put your clothes in or on, except the bed
Everything was perfect, very clean, super friendly and helpful staff, also great location!
Rooms were nice, although small - staff were excellent and helpful.
Noise from Market street below, seemed like a bit of a dodgey area with people hanging around at night.
Location Personality: not the usual serial hotel Staff
room is too small, and no AC. 房间小，连空调都没有！
Good location. Close to subway and sites. Very clean. Staff was accommodating. They kept our luggage while we went touring after we checked out.
The toilet handle kept disengaging when we flushed. No fridge.
All of the staff we encountered were so pleasant and helpful!
The room was extremely cramped. and there were a lot of homeless people lingering around the hotel. There was lots of confusion regarding our room. We booked a 3 bed room with a separate bathroom, we called several days ahead to request an upgrade to a room with a bathroom inside.. The woman told us that our reservation had been automatically changed due to overbooking and we would receive 2 rooms instead, both with bathrooms inside the room. When we ARRIVED, we did not get the upgrade and were put in the original room with a separate bathroom but then we were overcharged and we had to be reimbursed the appropriate price.
Great staff!!! Especially Ellen. She made our stay a memorable one. The staff of this hotel is really the added value. Location on Market Street is ok. Eight blocks from cable car remise. Trolleybus and tram stop in front of hotel door. It is a small boutique style hotel. It is very cosy. Free coffee and tea in the lobby. Great taste. Free wifi.
Sfo is a very pretty city. Lots and lots of things to do. Fishermans wharff and alcatraz on top of our list. Not do nice are the great number of drug addicts who hang around especially on Market street. We even saw a drugdealer doing business from his car but not a single sfpd car or cop to be seen nearby. To be honest...during our two night stay we only saw two cops. Whats wrong with this city. What difference with nyc with lots of nypd. We did feel much saver their especially in the evening
really helpful staff, good advices close both to downtown and castro
very noisy rooms due to old doors window facing a wall
personnel, cleanliness, location
smell of smoke in the room coming from the restaurant
staff were kind and helpful
cost was too high for the location
