|Offering a restaurant and a fitness center, Hotel Zephyr San Francisco is located a short 320 yards from Pier 39 Fisherman's Wharf. Free Wi-Fi access is available in this waterfront hotel.|
Rooms were a bit small but worked, our particular room had a separate shower and toilet room (outside of our room, key required) which was awkward for our children in the middle of the night and for showering. But other rooms had the normal hotel room layout. Rooms were very hot and stuffy, AC didn't work at all, free WIFI didn't work either.
The staff at the Edwardian have excellent customer service. Extremely welcoming, and happy to help with luggage, questions, and recommendations. Location is surrounded by boutiques, restaurants, and street food. Free coffee and tea bar available all day. Key entry to the building is required so only hotel guests can enter, this made it feel very safe for us and our children.
Staff were incredibly friendly and interested in making our stay exactly right for us - always offering suggestions and available to plan our day with. They were very knowledgeable. The location of the hotel is perfect for quick access to the mission, Hayes valley, Fillmore street and on a tram stop to get downtown. There is a car park conveniently located opposite the hotel which costs additional.
The room and bathroom were VERY small. We were also in a room which overlooked the roof of the restaurant next door which meant lots of cooking smells. This was ok as it was reasonably cool but I'd really dislike that in the summer when you'd rely on the open window (no air con). The staff couldn't be more helpful even if they tried!
The location was a little far out of town but this proved useful for exploring the amazing neighbourhoods nearby.
Staff gave us a lot of great tips
Couldn't find the heater.
Cute room. Nice staff. Next door to a chill wine bar. Hotel is in a great upscale area.
No ice available except to bother Michael. When front desk was busy I could not do for myself
Michael was the highlight of my trip. The head desk host. He went far and beyond his role to make me comfortable and helped with a renal car and treated me like family. I will remember this stay only because of HIM.
The smell of the restaurant next door's wood grill was somewhat strong at times when we had the window open. It was somewhat enjoyable for us, but others may not appreciate the scent of a campfire and delicious grilled foods as much if they are sensitive.
The front desk staff was very welcoming whenever we entered, and were very accommodating, including arranging a ride to the airport with a budget shuttle service and holding our bags after checkout. Great spot right on Market St.
The area isn't GREAT, but it's right next to Zuni Cafe, which is great, and it's close to transportation. Michael at the front desk at night is SOOO nice and helpful! The room was clean, comfortable and cute, although I thought it was probably best I was alone because it was pretty small. I would definitely stay here again!
No fridge or coffee machine in the room. Toilet was difficult to flush.
Great location for the price. Spacious bathroom. Parking available for 15$ a night.
HATED all the noise from other hotel guests in the hallway. Impossible to sleep at all.
I liked the location based on my travel plans.
Location, staff, price and comfort are great all around. First time in SF, but second hotel after a business trip. You cannot go wrong with staying here.
We stayed there twice within 3 weeks. The first room we had was smaller than the second one - but rooms are generally small. Perfectly ok, as you will be outside most of the time, but don't look for a lot of space to hang up your clothes/park your toilettries.
It's a cozy, very affordable hotel (rare to find in San Francisco) with a great staff who makes you feel welcome the minute you step in. Good location on Market Street, close to hip surrounding areas (i.e. Valencia street or Hayes with many restaurants/bars
The windows are old and the street is busy. If you're a light sleeper, I advise asking the desk for a fan BEFORE they go home for the night. No safe in the room, and I doubt one is on premise. Not a problem since I was taking my laptop everywhere with me.
Great location: not scary, near a BART, a 20 minute trip from OAK. The hotel staff was exceptionally friendly. The bathrooms are nicely updated.
The restroom and shower were outside the bedroom.
Cleanliness, quaint and friendly staff. Especially Ellan, informative and welcoming.
Too warm in room with radiator making noises all night. Area full of homeless although they very nice
Receptionist was most helpful, room really clean and well decorated. Good to get about from here
Friendly staff and good tips Clean room and nice decoration Safe neighborhood Good location
It was very nice, but much smaller than I expected and we had to use a key to get into our bathroom across the hall. It seemed a little more like a hostel than a hotel. The noise from the street was bothersome at night.
The location is great. The F line down to the Wharf is right across the street. The Whole Foods grocery store is just a 5 min walk up the street.
We came back to our room and the heat was on so high we could not even breathe, when we asked for it to be turned off she advised us to turn it off ourself and when we told her there was no turn off valve she got upset and then said she would have to do it downstairs then. We then asked that the heat not be turned on in our room at all and we were told ok. The next night after we were asleep the heat came on at 11:00 and it was awful, called again same rude girl answered phone as night before and we went through the same thing. This girl has not customer service skills.
Darin was very helpful, always willing to answer any questions. I felt he went out of his way to make our stay enjoyable.
Our room was facing the vent of the restaurant Zuni next door. We can smell all the smokes from the vent. We requested for a room change and the staff was very helpful.
I like the staff. They are super nice and friendly and helpful.
The traffic noise. The noise from the downstairs wine bar . The shower not working and NO MORNING COFFEE being made because staff did not show for work . Also the night manager did not answer his calls about broken shower !
The Friday evening attendent was very helpful !
Very loud in the morning. Shower and toilet not in the room.
Super friendly staff. Good public transportation. 5 min to union square. Nice restaurants in the area. Clean and stylish rooms.
Staff , information and comfort bed
Is not the most spacious hotel, but it does the job perfectly. The street is very central though a lot of homeless people, but that's all around SFO.
The staff was fantastic, everyone was extremelly kind! The location was very central. And the hotel was very very clean.
The Edwardian SF hotel is a really nice little place in a cool part of town. I loved the decor of our room and the awesome old Edwardian lift!. The best bit though were the staff. Darren gave us a super in depth guide to the city which was invaluable for helping us enjoy our short stay there. He's rad :)
The hotel itself isn't as well put together as we'd like. We were moved from two different rooms because of smoke flowing through the window from the restaurant below, and then the final room we were in was extremely noisy because of windows needing to be open to the main road next to it, and no A/C to cool the room. The hotel staff was extremely helpful and tried to make it work. But we ended up cutting the stay there short and moved to another hotel.
The staff was great and very accommodating! Made the one night we stayed very enjoyable.
