Loved the feel and the look of El Cordova Hotel and it's location being handy for a lot of things including restaurants, the beach and tours. We would stay again.
Street parking but it was not not that bad
Loved that it was located so close to all the shops and short walk across the street to beach and Coronado Hotel.
The location and the friendly and pleasing staff.
The steep stairs up to second floor. The noise coming into the room from the busy restaurant Miguel's.
It is unique, has large rooms, very comfy and cozy. I also liked having a kitchen so we did not have to eat every meal out. Location is perfect!
Wish there were a few more cooking items in the kitchen, but management said they were are updating the kitchen soon. As far as pots, pans, utensils etc. They will be there for our next visit! Can't wait!!
the location is ideal--just across from the hotel del and beach. and the facility itself really lovely--beautiful spanish flair combined with modern niceties. we even had an amazing upgrade, which made our stay all the more perfect. highly recommended!
The location, the atmosphere especially the patio area. The flowers and plants gave a beautiful scenery to relax and enjoy.
Loved it all!!!!
pool and beautiful settings, friendly staff and overall a lovely place
Average breakfast as you would find in a motel 6 room could use a little more decoration.
nice crew, good facilities, and awesome & perfect service
Staff very helpful. One example, allowed early check-in, which was nice after long flight to San Diego. Free internet
We lived the boutique style of the rooms. They are tucked away in groups of 4 or 5 rooms so it doesn't feel like a large standard hotel. All rooms are surrounding a central patio with restaurents and shops. We will definitely return.
Beds were small and uncomfortable.
We loved San Diego from the moment we arrived to El Cordova. It is a cosy hotel, which looks more like a big old house. The room was huge together with a big kitchen - even bigger than our own back home - and a terrace looking over the swimming pool. It is suitable for 4 people. The breakfast was enough although there were no savoury bites but only sweets. We had a car so the location was not a problem but it is a bit far from the Gaslamp Quarter but in the middle of Coronado. La Jolla was in 15 min drive but easy to reach. We loved the hotel and the city.
Our one bedroom suite was spacious, very quiet even though there was an alley behind it and a restaurant nearby. The staff was very helpful and cheerful, and it was nice to have a breakfast buffet on the patio every morning. Excellent location for all that Coronado has to see. East walk to beach and shops and restaurants.
The kitchen needs more cooking items - no potholder, spatula, or mixing bowls. It just had the bare minimum. There was no easy chair in the living room, just a sofa, it would have been nice to have a chair to sit on in the living room, but we noticed some rooms did have easy chairs in the units so I guess it just depends what room you get.
Location was great & accessibility to beach, shops & food was within walking distance. Loved the old spanish decor of room & hotel
Room & bathroom was a little small- but okay for us.
Very quaint historic surroundings
No parking here to the corner and the hotel is on a corner! Three good restaurants on site and all very busy and noisy with parking taken up by patrons. You should be prepared to drag your baggage several blocks then up stairs to get to most rooms. The hotel rooms are over the top of shops around an open air courtyard that is used for a very popular and noisy Mexican Restaurant....... Great food at good prices! Doesn't help if you need to sleep
liked the ability to get together with other family members in the courtyard. It was perfect for the whole family who also had suites there. We were close to each other yet private and could walk anywhere we needed to . It was very convenient and a perfect spot for all 15 members of our family
I did not like the kitchen facilities. There were no real pots or pans for cooking and coffee pot was to small for any entertaining. It needed to be better stocked especially the 2 bedroom suite.
The staff - jessi and Humberto - we're great!! The location couldn't be better in Coronado.
No parking. Options were neighborhood street parking or pay lot with no in/out option.
Staff courteous and helpful. Great location.
Incredibly LOUD place! Stayed in 1 bedrm over WALKIN FREEZER OF REST. Downstairs! Entire place literally SHOOK every time open/close doors!!! LOUD LOUD LOUD!!! When told staff at checkout, no apology or offer of ANYTHING...
Location Rooms Staff
Breakfast was poor
Friendly staff, nice breakfast, comfortable and clean rooms,... The whole stay was very nice.
location, spanish style, service
noise early in a.m. of workers
Very quaint. Nice architectural appeal. Very nice staff. Customer focused and accommodating. Great Mexican Restaurant (Miguel's)
While our room had Mexican charm, it appeared a little worn and dated, especially in the bathroom. But it wasnt a game-stopper
We were attending a wedding at hotel del. Coronado and only had to walk a cross the street. It was a very cool place.
Having a bad knee and didn't know our room was upstairs was hard. But I just went slow. Having rude neighbors that had their door open at 6am and were taking so loud and talking in the phone right by our door which was where our bed was terrible. I finally had to open the door and tell them to be quiet
Liked everything...the staff... the accommodations..clean...restful... peaceful ...very professional....keep on keeping on....Great job!
My only improvement as noted last year too, is to include yogurt and hard boiled eggs to your continental breakfast...other then that, you are exquisite in every way! Thank you.
We rented the two bedroom luxury suite with a kitchen and living room and the smell and the noise of the mexican restaurant on the premises pervades the whole hotel it was horrible!
The atmosphere, the location.
