We loved that the hotel kept the older decor in the rooms...50's/60's...there were a few things that were getting shabby. Loved the luxuriousness of the room and will definately be back to stay. We also loved the help and staff at registration...

...the Cafe Cortez restaurant and bar staff were not the best. The perception we got is they don't want to be there...just want their paycheck. You may want to improve that and also the cooks idea of 'tasty'.

I love everything about this hotel. This is my secret!!!

We stayed in the cabana suites. Which was nice because it was isolated from the smoky casinos. It was clean, quiet and the decor was cool.

When we checked in the front desk lady charged us for higher rates than when we booked with booking.com. It was a hassell trying to get the situation worked out.

Location

Staff, Harassment, Beds, Valet, Food. In general it was awful.

I like that it right next to Freemont st. But not right in front of the crowd. I like their slot games.

It's proximity to Fremont St and the downtown strip. I could see the music festival (punk rock bowling) from my window. I'll definitely be back next year!

The elevator would randomly stop working.

I love that it's a vintage old school Las Vegas hotel and near everything downtown. It was a dump not that long ago that served drinks in styrofoam cups and I still liked it!

The updates are kind of cheesy and they don't make great drinks in the Parlour. I'm sure it's a work in progress...

The location to the event I was attending.

Being harassed constantly by their security guard over every move I made. I really have a lot to say about this and would like a phone call to discuss it. I understand to a point a person doing their job. This guard went beyond that to harass me and my wife.

The staff and rates. Cafe was really great also. As were the drink prices!

Staff were friendly and the hotel was quite nice. The cabana is a little more upscale than the lower tower but I would stay in tower next time. I like the free WiFi in cabana but felt isolated.

No ice machine working - there should be one on each floor not one for 5 floors. The green colour in rooms is hideous.

The downtown location, near the Fremont Street Experience, but not on it. The Vintage room. The free coupon book. No resort fee! The price.

The power flush toilet that sounded like a jet plane every time we flushed.

Location was very good. Their coffee shop had excellent food!!!!!

We were very unhappy to get a room over the parking lot!!!! We also were very unhappy that we could not regulate the heat or air conditioning. We had to call maintenance to change the temperature. Very unpleasant. When it got too hot or cold, we had to call maintenance again!!!!!!

Casino was nice and attendants were very friendly. Location, location, location. Price

Halls to rooms facing the outside of the hotel made for A LOT of noise. City and people traffic. Service in restaurant was slow and inattentive.

No iron or ironing board no hair dryers and outside music (granted out of the hotels control) made sleep nearly impossible

hotel was clean, staff very nice, food very good and the cost was low. i would stay here again.
