Security nearly beat my door down for a 'check-out/check-in from a paid status to a comped room. They didn't bother to ring my room. I was then escorted thru the casino like a criminal - The doors slam all night (they dont shut properly, and the walls are thin as paper. I will never stay at this hotel! |

Extremely friendly service...they are not the most luxurious hotel, but they far exceed in terms of value for the cost. Very responsive to any concerns I had. This is an excellent place to stay! |

very nice price for a tower room with loveseat,roll-top desk, coffee table, safe, 2 queen beds and nice view of the strip. also liked the idea of having to use your room key to operate elevator. ice machines worked very well and all for less than 20.00 a night. also liked the idea of no bedspreads on the beds. Most casinos I can smell smoke in even non smoking rooms but not in this hotel. They have great ventillation system. only down side was that you had to walk a block to the fremont experience. No big deal. |

The staff was friendly and helpful. The room temperature was perfect around the clock, even in August. The room was large and was decorated with the Spanish feel of "El Cortez". The price of the room was outstanding. We were expecting a dump, but were very happy from the moment we walked in until the moment we left. A pool might have been a nice bonus, but it wasn't missed. |

Room was clean and nicer than I thought. Smoking, parking, people making a lot of noise in the hallway and I could hear TV's from other rooms |

Great location for me and like the cabana to avoid the casino for my purposes. Please make the gym 24 hours. Not sure why it is not 24 hours??? |

The room was nicely furnished and bed was comfortable. I booked for a double bed in the cabana suits, and they only had single king rooms. They also did not have a pool. |

I felt like I stepped back into a manicured "history". I stayed in one of, what they call "vintage rooms." I honestly thought I'd see the Rat Pack walking down the staircase at any given moment. Yes, staircase. Not an elevator...but a wide staircase that took you "upstairs." I loved it!! Bathrooms are small...and the bathtubs needed updated. Don't like "sliding metal doors...so "early 70s" and sharp edges. |
