The staff is great. The location is perfect for downtown stays. The clean spacious quiet rooms are very nice. The Casino gives comps that can be redeemed for food or rooms. That's old school !
Everything was great as usual.
That the suites are located in a separate building than the hotel.
I would have liked the suite to be larger. But it is of no consequence. I would stay again.
The room was big n very clean everything worked
View and close to Fremont st
Too much smoke r
The bed had recently been urinated in and the staff very nearly accused us of it.
Booked Cabana Junior Suite (they did not have our reservation at the reception but gave us the room anyway). Very nice building and room. No complaints. Close to Fremont street. Would stay again for sure.
No breakfast (but plenty of possibilities to eat near the hotel). Bit far from the main attractions on the Strip.
fun exciting design, wifi speed, room cleanliness, great huge bathroom, big led tv, everything about room, good value quality food at casino, no cigarette smell
no breakfast, the associated casino itself stinks heavily of cigarette
Everything was really clean and staff was great
You could hear the music from the club next door, so you couldn't get any sleep.
For the price this place is great. I should of paid the extra few bucks to stay in the tower room. My daughter booked in the tower and her room was very spacious.
When I woke up after my first night in the hotel, I had roaches running on my floor. I immediately called the front desk to get it taken care of. They told me they didn't deal with that, and I had to contact housekeeping. I then called housekeeping and they told me they would send someone right over to take care of it. I spent the next 45 minutes getting ready to head out and still no one showed. I left the room and came back to the room approximately six hours later. Still no one had attended to the roaches. I left the room once again and did not return until about midnight at which point the issue had been taken care of. Why did it take so long? They should have attended two roaches in the room right away. Especially since I was in a suite. I actually paid more money for a suite and had reached roaches in my room. No cool. I was the one who recommended to my friends that we all get sweets so we can enjoy an upscale weekend together in downtown Vegas. Never again!
It took a couple of times to get me moved to handicap room, I think staff was thinking of cost of disabled room, as we booked on Booking. Com, I believe. They were gracious to move us, and Tony the bellman very helpful with scooter. So we did enjoy our stay.Thank You.
Price is awesome, room is awesome, staff was nice! Booked the regular room at the old building but I think they bumped me up to the Cabana Suite room. Yay!
Room door was sooo heavy
Very good hotel for such price. Big rooms with good facilities (refrigerator, safe deposit, hairdryer, coffee-machine, iron, iron-desk); good sound insulation.
Too strong ventilation - sometimes it's really cold in the room; there were problems with hot water in the shower.
The Cabana was a nice size room. The glass shower was also very nice. Big TV was a big plus also.
The dealers I thought could be a lot friendlier.
The mattress had a flat sheet on it and when it went up I saw the mattress which had nasty stains on it they should use a fitted one on. Our friend had to call room service to get the roaches out that we're crawling around GROSS.
The rooms and casino were nice.
The rooms was good value front desk clerks rude and the managers was terrible the indian manager need training in customer service.
the front desk manager need training the indian lady need. customer service training
Tower rooms, cleanliness.
I was pleased with the staff and what a great job they did at being courteous and helpful in every way. We stayed in the building across from the main hotel, and the front desk staff was more than helpful with directions and info, as well as accommodating. The prime rib dinner....fantastic! We will definitely be back to stay!
The Tower Rooms are spacious and to get to them you need to use your room card / key. Views from the top floors are great of the desert and strip. Free parking.
It was all good.
Stayed in Vintage Room last time - it was great, including wifi - no connection issues. Booked Pavilion Room and was complimentary upgraded to Tower Room, King Suite - just lovely. The wifi was slightly slower in this room, but still no issues at all. Enjoyed Fremont Street Experience again, as well as Beat Coffeehouse and Container Park, both just across from hotel. Will continue to stay at El Cortez - El "C" & me, we're friends now!
Great value rooms. OK casino. OK location. You cannot beat this place for the money.
To much street noise
Cost I paid the price for a normal room on the strip, but I stayed in a suite at this hotel, suites were nice and roomy, privacy I never was bothered by other guest or house keeping. The building is seperate from the casino so you don't have a lot of traffic in your building which is security key access only.
I have no complaints
Price and good services.
No elevator on old side of hotel.Hard for Stroller and guest
