Casino was nice and attendants were very friendly. Location, location, location. Price

Halls to rooms facing the outside of the hotel made for A LOT of noise. City and people traffic. Service in restaurant was slow and inattentive.

No iron or ironing board no hair dryers and outside music (granted out of the hotels control) made sleep nearly impossible

Beautiful room like a suite. Gorgeous old style furniture & decorating.

Rooms are very old! Bathrooms were old and the tv was old and the picture was aweful. But the room and bathroom were very clean. We needs 1 night and everything else was sold out, so it wasn't bad.

Locate very center of the city, the staff was helpful when learned that we were travelling with a friend couple and change our room to the same floor. The hotel for budget travelers

Smoking downstairs was irritant, my friends' room was close to the stairway. They complained not be able to sleep due to smoking.

Love staying on Fremont. Casino is quiet and room is spacious and staff is always friendly

The staff were very nice my flight left at 11pm so I was able to pay half price to stay in my room later.

The room were a non smoking room but had a smokie smell .the music were loud until 5am woul like to stay on the other side. Much more quiet.

Check-in and our was extremely easy. Staff was, and are, always pleasant and helpful.

The room, in "the tower", is one of their motel-style rooms on top of the parking garage, access from outside. This was not clear when booking. I've stayed in those before, and they're usually fine. But I had out-of-town guests and thought I was booking an interior room. Very disappointed when I checked in and discovered what type of room it was. Second, there was no hot water! I understand the ebb and flow of pre-check-out in a hotel but this was ridiculous. Tried to take a shower at 4 am and it was too cool to step into. Ditto when my guests woke up around 9 am. Extremely disappointed; I booked Cortez because I've always enjoyed my stays there (over past eight years). I wanted my guests to have a taste of old Vegas at its finest. Instead, I was embarrassed and found myself constantly apologizing. If I have another situation of out-of-town guests, I'll probably try for Four Queens, instead. Very, very disappointed.

i didnot like that i book the tower and got the vintage room .I didnot like when i address my concern nothing was done to make my stay comfortable. I think booking.com and el cortez pass the buck.

I really like the staff, they were very helpful. The shower was amazing, the bed and pillows were so comfortable.

loved the price, we had read a few reviews that were describing unclean bathroom, noisy at night and not enough pillows on the beds. what we found were three pillows on each bed. Bathroom was spotless. Had a great view of the new strip from our room and did not hear a peep from any noise from the Freemont night life. Did like that the elevators were secure and could only be accessed via your room card. Staff were helpful when we needed them. Would i stay here again??? YES

We stayed in the jr suites. I absolutely loved the modern & chic decor. Lobby and rooms were very clean. Good location, quick access to fitness room & noon checkout were awesome!

Big rooms, except for sink area. Amenities good, nice furniture, good views, free parking convenient.

Sink area too cramped and hard for more than one person to use at a time.

Good value for money. Close to main casino strip. Discount vouchers for food and drinks made this a good deal.

The room ventilation sucked. The thermostat was pre-set so couldn't adjust. Plus couldn't open window.
