The staff was so with it. They put us as their top priority. The bungalow style rooms are incredible, not your typical hotel. The view from the property is so incredible, we thought that since we were so inland that we were not going to be able to enjoy the ocean. We were wrong, you can see the ocean perfectly from the restaurant! The food and drinks were incredible. Id stay here a million times over the 4 Seasons. Its sophisticated, simple, classy and modern unlike the 4 Seasons which is completely gaudy and over priced.
nothing! It was all amazing.
the room was quiet beautiful clean and the staff was very friendly and helpful-- When youre spending top dollar its all about the service and this place was #1-- quite a beatiful location too I might add..Its a "return again" on my list!Loved the little touches and subtle things that made this a top resort! Thank you Belmond for doing it right!
Valet service seemed a little confused but he was trying!! otherwise NOTHING!
The view from the restaurant or pool is spectacular. Very serene. The staff is incredibly professional. The decor is modern and elegant, moreso than the Four Seasons, which felt a little more old-fashioned.
My room layout was a bit strange, very narrow living room. The bathroom was beautiful, but the shower/tub is narrow and makes for an awkward shower. The hotel is a fine place to stay, but not great value for what you're paying.
This property is newly refreshed/remodeled, and is absolutely beautiful.
It is a little pricey, but we have paid more for much less. It's the perfect splurge.
I liked everything about the Property from the layout, staff and accommodations.
The price of breakfast and the $35 to park my car everyday.
$18.00 for a cup of tea and a cookie????
View is perfect, had a very Nice stay, would go again.
Price is room is a little high. If it was $100 less would stay longer.
Beautiful surroundings en terrace. Great pool. Friendly staff.
What did I like? The service the food, the views, the ornithology, the bungalows, the pool, the friendliness of the staff, the facilities, the beds, the space.
There is nothing not to like about this place, might take a few extra minutes to find with an old Sat nav if you look the wrong way, and its not especially cheap, but its still good value.
I booked this hotel for my son and his new wife, for their honeymoon. We had never been there but they reported back to me a few times that it was "incredible". Thank you! I hope to stay with you sometime.
The View, the food, the rooms.
It took an hour and a half for the staff to bring our luggage to the room. We were late to dinner and had to rush. No shower because we didn't have time. The manager never apologized. Disappointing for such a beautiful place. Left a bad taste
Attention to detail Exemplary service Our private bungalow Lovely pool Friendly valet staff Nothing too much trouble
Service at restaurant was sometimes slow and bad coordinated (in the evening).
The location, excellent restaurant staff, wifi
Our almost a $1K/night suit had a leaky shower, which was known to the staff at our check-in and was supposed to be fixed but never was. At checkout, the manager reduced the room charges by 30% after we complained but the experience has still left us with a very bad impression. This is certainly not acceptable for a five-star hotel. We were not looking for a discount but for a restful night, which we didn't get (and for which we paid over $750!) The pool is small, really unattractive and crowded and there were no free chairs when we arrived. The best part of this hotel is its restaurant with impeccable service and great food. I would not recommend this hotel.
Everything. We wanted a few days of relaxation after travelling and the was the epitome of that. Staff were excellent. The two bungalows we were allocated, which had been upgraded, were all you could ask for. It was our daughter's anniversary whilst we were there and the little touches like a handwritten note, champagne, chocolate dessert and heart shaped arrangement of candles at the entrance to their bungalow, were all lovely and added to making the stay memorable.
As previously stated by others, absolutely nothing.
Staff was the very best I have ever encountered. Bungalow was beautifully appointed with every welcoming comfort, food was magnificent. Grounds were perfect.
The bungalow has awesome decor and they have very clean and comfortable bed. In addition to the greenery surrounding the bungalow. The staff were very friendly and professional. Food was excellent.
We stayed at El Encanto for my birthday and at the end of our pacific coast highway road trip. The service and staff were both exceptional. There was a beautiful chocolate birthday desert and hand written message waiting in the room when we got there which was a really nice touch. The property is just beautiful and our bungalow was both quiet and private. The staff at the spa were professional and friendly and we had a great massage. I highly recommend the hotel, especially for a special occasion.
Everything, except ants.
Ants in the room
Very polite staff - Grounds well kept - Bungalow had very nice qualities.
