Poor food. bad room service. Internet not free
Room was beautiful. Bar staff great. Restaurant staff great.
Sold an upgrade package that could not be filled: never received turn down service, could never could not bellman to bring luggage so we had to haul ourselves along long icy sidewalks, ordered room service they did not bring coffee cups or spoons for oatmeal. Valet never answered phone so had to wait in cold for car each time
The staff was very friendly. If we had questions or needed anything they were there to help. Our room with 2 queens had plenty of room for a family of 4 to spread out and relax. We had a first floor room that had a sliding door to a small patio and access to the snow we had travelled so far to see! Loved the room! There is a shuttle to the center of Taos, which we didn't end up using but was nice to have as an option if we wanted. Beautiful pool/hot tub!
Felt like we were nickled and dimed. $20/day for valet parking and sometimes we were not allowed to park ourselves. $15/day for wifi which we didn't end up using because it didn't work. In the hotel's defense, the network in the entire Taos area seemed wonky while we were there. Dinner menu was overpriced. $10/kids meals is silly.
GREAT location within walking distance to downtown Taos. Valet. Clean and very comfortable. Outdoor fire pit was great. Pets welcome. Nice creek. Healthy breakfast menu.
At check in we were upgraded. Did not say why or how much extra the room would cost. It ended up being $70/night extra and not sure if it was the Booking.com rate for that upgraded room or not. Did not mind paying. The room was excellent. Just poor communication.
Location n comfort of the stay
The grounds were nice and the décor was decent - what you expect in New Mexico.
The bed was not very comfortable and the room was sweltering. The thermostat would not go below 69, but it felt more like 89 degrees in the room. We kept the sliding door cracked the entire time we were in the room. Also, the bill that they slipped under my door was about $100 less than what they actually charged my card. I am waiting for an updated bill, but did not get a live person at guest services and left a message. All in all, we were quite disappointed in what we believed to be the nicest resort in Taos.
Room was beautiful Surroundings beautiful Great service
Paying for wi-fi
Beautiful scenery, very nice hotel, welcoming and attentive staff.
No FREE Wi Fi and excessive resort charges. They should be offered!
Beautiful grounds - very peaceful
Missing the little things - extra blanket stained, coffee maker didn't work
Beautiful gardens. Suite with living room and patio. Huge beautiful bathroom. All clean and new. Decorating throughout the hotel was very pleasing. Staff was great too.
The staff was very very friendly and easy walking distance to the Taos plaza
They were unorganized. Did not have the room I reserved and had to search for a ace to place us I the hotel. They did upgrade us free of barge but the heck in process took longer and I had to fight the right number of beds.
Room was nice and comfortable. Comfortable beds, great bathroom with giant soaker tub, large shower, nicely decorated.
Staff was a bit curt and unfriendly. Poor soundproofing as we were awakened by the alarm in the next room at 7 am which went on for 15 to 20 minutes. We also heard all the housekeeping staff knocking on doors up and down the hall around 9 am, doors closing, what sounded like Bigfoot stomping around in the room above us, and lots of other noise that you typically don't hear even in the cheap motels. Hotel was maybe 1/2 full and shuttle was not being used yet they refused to take us even a few blocks further than the plaza even though the driver was just sitting around doing nothing. When we complained about the noise at checkout, staff was confrontational, but finally agreed to give us a $50 credit. Also, even though we ordered beer and wine at the bar they still charged us 2.50 a piece for some soda waters with lime. Not what I would consider a 5 star resort. I would not go back and would not recommend the facility unless you have lots of money and are an early riser or very heavy sleeper.
The property was beautiful, clean, well manicured, and authentic. The staff was very kind and made us feel welcomed.
We had some issues that I am unsure if they were related to the power going out for a while but our bath tub jets did not work, the water was luke warm at best, we order soda but didn't get it, and for breakfast they were out of Swiss cheese
It was a true haven! Highly recommend! Will go back!!
They charged for parking in their lot. I know that's common but as high end as this was and the fact that it was a lot and not a garage made if feel a little nickel and dime'ish... And they charged tax on this charge!
The scenic area, the enchanting design and relaxing atmosphere. The art show and free wine tasting.
The parking fee seems very pricey. The room was more expensive than usual but is was spring break
It was a nice but not very big double queen room with a very nice bathroom. Good service throughout and the internet was provided for free when we were unable to log in with the original log in info. Restaurant was full the only day we wanted to try it (Christmas Day) and we ended up in the bar, With our kids. Pool and jacuzzi was nice.
Very low water pressure in shower, had to shower forever. Very late cleaning, some day we were back from skiing. Mandatory Valet parking for 20$ a day (was reduced to the announced 12$ From when we booked hotel) and internet for 14$ a day added to the already very stiff room rate 269-299$. Breakfast was not included in this price. We never ate breakfast in the hotel.
Great decor, fun pool.
Good location, nice room, food and bar were fine
Broken refrogerator in room leaked on carpet for 2 days after it was reported to the desk. Need someone outside such as a bellman by 6a needed help with luggage and there was a bear in parking lot
Size of room Location Friendly Staff
Room very dark Restaurant service slow
