Staff was very helpful and super friendly, especially Maritxa from the front desk. Housekeeping is so inconspicuous and I loved that. They were in and out without us ever seeing them. Pool and tropical garden were beautiful!
-Security could be better. -All our lamp shades looked like they were water damaged and were growing mold. -The water was yellow in the shower and toilet bowl.
There is a very strong, pervasive odor of mold in room 424 and that room should never have been rented in that condition. This is a health concern and the hotel is going to injure someone who may be immunocompromised or who may have respiratory issues. The moisture issue need to be resolved and the mold remediated. The room is currently uninhabitable--it's unsafe. I additionally notified the front desk of this issue.
I liked the service and the staff was very helpful with directions.
The curtains didn't close all the way
By train tracks
There is adequate parking and the hotel is centrally located.
The safe in the room does not work and although reported nothing was done about. The entrance door to the room (217) also gave problem to open throughout our stay.
The room was clean and comfortable.
No breakfast available at hotel at this moment. There are train tracks next to the hotel and during the night the noise of the train passing by will not let you sleep. You will need a car to move around. The floor in the hallways need repair.
Karen at check in after 10PM and Sally day crew really took care of us when problems appeared. No heat toilet nt flushing etc. Maintenance Man originally from Detroit worked hard to get both fixed.
toilet tank took over 10 minutes to fill the flush tank.
This hotel was much nicer than we expected. The room was nice and clean, all sheets and bedspreads were white and spotless. The rooms smelled clean, no smoking at this hotel! The furnishings and bath fixtures were up to date, not fancy, but nice. The room we had was one with 2 queen beds, a small desk, dresser, etc. We still had plenty of room to spread out, not at all crowded like other places we have stayed for more money. The lobby, elevators, and grounds were clean and well kept, you could tell someone cared about the hotel. Also, a small mini-golf range which looked like fun. The staff was friendly, even late at night. Some of the staff were bilingual which I am sure is helpful. Check in /out was very simple, no problems when using booking.com. We will happily come back again when visiting the area. Thanks for a worry free visit!
The hotel has an event/ballroom area for rent. Our first night,Saturday, we had great difficulty finding a place to park, even very late. We ended up parking all the way on the other side of the hotel in the very back, and having to walk through a darkened area to get to the room. Parking was better, but not great, the rest of our stay. It would be helpful if certain areas of the parking lot were designated for hotel guests as opposed to restaurant/event goers. The only other issue is that the hotel is near a TRAIN track that is active. Most of the time it was not a big problem, but if you are a light sleeper or want to sleep late, you might want to bring some ear plugs.
Everything was JUST OK. Everything is out dated ,including the room decor. Not the greatest part of town and the price WILL attract "motel" clientele.
The hotel is nice but......
you could hear the train horns starting at 4:15. Then the night is over.
People shouting all night, the girls working in the restaurant behind the bar were texting during our entire dinner, poor location, hair in the shower. Will never stay here again.
We had an executive suit, great apartment, very spacious, clean and decorated with care. The bed was good with lots of linen. The pool has a nice depth
The noise of the passing train (horn) is a little anoying, but not too bad. I missed some plates or atleast some cuttlery in the kitchen
The hotel is being renovated and it's going in the right direction. The beds were comfortable and the place is a good station if you want to visit Fort Lauderdale beach and the surroundings.
Well, we got a room that wasn't clean but we were immediately moved to another. If you don't mind the horns of a train passing by every hour or so at night, it's ok. We weren't disturbed by the train but I know people who couldn't stand it. The tracks are right behind the hotel.
The Breakfast - but it was only awailable Friday to Sunday.
The noise from trains.
Rooms and parking were spacious, overall it was a decent place!!!
Didn't like the fact we didn't hve a fridge in the rooms!!! And a micro wave, no trash bags in the trash cans,no counters in the bathroom
Location was good. Friendly staff. Management kept pool grounds clean and inviting. We would stay there again.
The safe in the room was broken. But the room was spotless. Bed was comfortable. No other issues.
Maritza at the front desk apologized and showed empathy once I told her about my experience, at least one person cared!
The pictures on booking.com and their website do NOT reflect reality. Corridors and stairs were extremely filthy. The room's safe was damaged, there was no fridge. I booked a city view room and the view was to a parking lot , the room was located in the second floor on the exterior of the building, these rooms and corridors can be accessed from anyone outside the hotel. It definitely didn't feel safe!! I asked Steven from front desk to move me to a safer room and provided no solution, he even asked me to reduce my anxiety level , rather than honoring my fear and caring for my needs. The rooms are smoke free, but in the corridors, other guests or visitors smoked and the smell could get through. This happened very late at night. On top of the smell, their loud conversation, I couldn't sleep because of the loudness of the train passing by all night and constant whistling. My booking was for 5 days...I cancelled the whole reservation and got out of there!
There was no drinking water anywhere in the hotel, no drinking water in rooms, water fountains or vending machines. They lied about offering breakfast. No breakfast, the only restaurant in the hotel was closed all the time I was there. It was a nightmare. Ugly dirty bedding and rude personnel.
Great breakfast. Relaxing pool area. Handy to motorway.
Train runs behind the hotel which would be annoying if on the back of the property. They did not however disturb our sleep.
Very friendly / helpful personal at the reception. While the bar lady understand their job to the fullest on how to entertain te guests. We are going back for sure.
State of floors on balconies, stairs and hand rails are dirty. If one uses the laundry room one can see that management is not checking maintenance / housekeeping in these area's. Room is fitly being strange in relation to the hotel rooms whom are very clean.
Train was noisy, rooms werent at All what you see in pictures online, staff was rude, room didnt got clean for 2 days, and pool was closed for 2 days.
nothing, everything is horrible!
no refrigerator on the room, train noise all the night long, tv doesn't work, toilet doesn't work, shower works sometimes, no wi-fi!
Food at the bar was good, pool was gorgeous, front loby was very nice. Rooms looked modern and everything worked.
There was an overwhelming mildew smell in the room. The hotel was to capacity so no changing rooms. I cleaned out the air filters from the AC myself which helped slightly. Oh and I didnt need a wakeup call because the hotel backs up to the train tracks which start coming by blowing the horn about every half hour starting at 6:45 in the morning.
