My skeptical sweetheart at 55 had never stayed at a b&b. We arrived at night, armed with directions per email & I with gps tracking on phone. All in the dark, arriving to adorable decor everywhere, lighting the fireplace, he said, "this is GREAT!", and I knew I did well. There was a faint aroma of 'historic plumbing' at the back entrance by our room, and breakfast was beautiful but flavor of chorizo & tart fruit a bit sharp, but our experience was a happy one. The staff was lovely and warm. On the expensive side for us but would stay again in a heartbeat. Construction at the Square & crowds made him uncomfortable but I'm dragging him back again next year.
Booking.com didn't complete the payment to El Paradero and I had to complete the transaction by phone. Good thing I called to be sure! And yes, there were already sufficient funds on my debit card.
Perfect location! Within walking distance of everything we wanted to see.
The time slots offered for breakfast were too close together, 30 min is not enough time to serve so many tables. Also if you are in the main inn and there is a crying child you will hear the crying.
Lovely traditional room and styling, quality mattress and bedding and friendly staff
El Paradero was all we hoped for on our trip to Santa Fe. We were made to feel welcome, the rooms were beautiful and the food was very good. Everyone was helpful and gave us great suggestions for things to see and places to eat.
The staff are truly caring and thoughtful. You feel cared for while staying there. They made me a vegan breakfast, upon request, both days and helped my mom (who has knee pain) and me with our luggage.
Beautiful interior with lively color, also fabulous breakfast, free wifi and parking AND afternoon tea with great desserts, comfy livingroom and library, very comfortable bed, very friendly staff. Short walk to Plaza and to Saturday farmers' market and rail trail, from quiet side street. We felt very much at home.
Loved it all. Our room was a little small and dark (extremely charming, however) but that was made up for by opening onto the enclosed courtyard and easy access to public reading spaces...
breakfast was excellent, decor very lively and appropriate
bed needs to be replaced
Lovely property, beautifully decorated and in good location. Great access for Wi-Fi and study area. If available get a larger room. Charming dining and tea space. Nice overall vibe, but do note that toddler/infant guests there and made us aware of their presence.
Tiny room with uncomfortable bed and some strange air condition unit that made periodic loud clanging noise w/no operating instruction. Breakfast/tea service needs more attention to special requests for diet restricted visitors that informed them well in advance! It is unfortunate to not enjoy a little treat at tea! Breakfast service very awkward in that they couldn't get our orders straight. Given ONE egg, the black beans with a little cheese on top (which the vegan guest had to send back to get cheese free) and few pieces fruit - that was it! Also wondered why housekeeping up ironing and starting laundry in small hallway area before checkout, kind of awkward as we had to utilize the main hallway for our bathroom.
location and grounds
clawfoot tub in bathroom was not good for seniors. the bathroom was across the hall.
great breakfast decorated well options for various rooms comfortable hotel pc available for use
owner not on grounds very often and did not converse with guest when there. tv in only 2 of 15 rooms; had to watch news in community room
Thought it was expensive for a little room
The beauty of the place and the warmth of the people.
Lovely, authentic historical building in a great location...breakfast was delicious, staff was friendly
Bed was as old as the building, small and noisy with a hump in the middle Avoid Room 8! It is next to the parking lot so you hear people coming in late and leaving early
Common rooms were nice as was breakfast.
Room was very cramped, not a pleasant place to spend time in
The B&B is very warm and nicely appointed. The staff was professional, helpful, and genuine. We plan to return again next year.
We were upgraded because of overbooking, so our room was more than we expected. Nice touches like afternoon tea and evening cookies. Location is super for access to the Plaza and restaurants. Friendly and helpful staff.
Shower in #12 needs help. Hard to know which way the none existant arrow on the water knob is pointing, and the shower flow is weak.
The atmosphere was quaint and well managed. The staff was freakishly friendly and most accommodating. The breakfast was delicious and filling.
The beds definitely need updating. Sleeping on sunken springs coupled with trying to adapt to the altitude made for a couple very restless nights.
Room was clean! Breakfast was good! All the staff were great!
The bed needs replaced in room#5!
The room, the breakfast, the staff, the location. I liked everything about my stay and would highly recommend it.
There was nothing I didn't like.
Very accessible location for exploring Santa Fe as well as for side trips to see the rural points of interest.
First time at a b&b. Exceeded expectations, excellent atmosphere. Room was very comfortable, breakfasts were incredible. Loved morning coffee on the front porch.
"That I had to leave.
Pretty room, large enough for one but would have been cozy for two. Quiet and close to the Plaza.
Bathroom was not en suite.
Great location. Wonderfully decorated. Very easy, free parking. Free wi-fi.
the bed was very uncomfortable.
Plenty of space in room 11 and loved the décor. Had our meals on the patio since the weather was nice, but loved the bright, cheerful breakfast room also. Planned to be back at 4 each day for the afternoon tea and baked snacks.Computer in library very convenient. Awesome location.2
water pressure in shower was not great but this is a historic building
breakfasts were excellent
