The breakfast was delicious and the homeowners were so sweet!
The accommodations were private Steve and Marnie are warm and knowledgable. The breakfasts were nothing short of magnificent, home grown or locally sourced eggs, bacon, yogurts, breads... WOW!
Everything -- the cottage was cozy and charming, the locally grown home-made food was delicious, and Steve and Marnie were wonderful hosts (they even invited me to a private party of theirs at the house).
A minor detraction is that the B&B is about a 20 minute drive away from downtown Flagstaff. However, on balance it's nicer to be in their location with trails to the mountains, than in the downtown area. If you're someone who needs to be right downtown, this might be a consideration for you.
Hosts were fantastic.
The owners were very nice and made our stay comfortable. The trails just out of the back of the property were perfect for our dogs. The breakfast that was served in the morning was one of the best I've had. All ingredients we local, and several were from the property itself.
What's not to like?
We loved the cozy, private cottage. There was nothing whatsoever we would have needed that was not right there in the cottage for our use. The living room had a pullout bed in the couch which was already made when we pulled it out. The bedroom was so cozy, with a beautiful view of the forest through the windows. Very clean. LOVED the natural, organic products. The food was great, healthy and fresh. Inn keepers were very friendly and interested in making our stay comfortable.
The setting is wonderful, and they back up on to the forest, so you can take a hike as far as you want. The chickens supply fresh eggs in the morning, and the breakfast is tasty and healthy. Well, there is bacon! Excellent hosts! Have already booked for the return trip home in a week! And we didn't book until we had stayed tgere. Highly recommended
A bit of a hill to get up to the house, and parking is on the street.
Charming Bed & Breakfast with forrest view and direct access to great hiking trails. Master bed was very comfortable. Free wi-fi and cable tv. The teapot and real china was a nice touch. Wonderful breakfast served in room or on patio. Hosts were friendly, but gave me my privacy. Would definitely return!
My sister stayed with me and she said the pull-out matress from the couch was not comfortable. Otherwise, she loved the place and would return.
Hosts Marnie and Steve made our stay super relaxing, interesting, and delicious. The healthful breakfasts were second to none, in both quality and quantity. A great starting point for visiting the south rim, our most memorable 2 night stay on a 3 week journey. Thanks to Marnie and Steve for their warm and personable hospitality!
Steve and Marnie are very nice. the room is in the small garden. all windows are directly to the pine tree forest or garden. and garden are built below pine trees. excellent breakfast. very comfortable bed. very quiet. carpets, furniture and accessories in the room are interesting. it's more like a home than a hotel.
the house are built under and small hill and in the rim of pine tree forest, 4 mile to the downtown.
The owners are interesting people who looked after us really well. The B&B cabin is well equipped and very comfortable. We have been traveling for a month in Arizona and New Mexico and without doubt the breakfasts we ate during our two night stay at Eldon trails were the best.
Nothing, it's an exceptional place.
Very special and large breakfast with home-made yogurt and cakes.
The main bed was a bit to soft and the room was on the small side for a family of 5.
Pros: We liked the cozy charm and privacy of the place. The grounds were beautiful. The bedding was divine. The owners were friendly and accommodating. The bookshelves were loaded with favorites.
Cons: Food was different from what we are used to, not that it was bad. Found a big black spider and its baby in the bathroom. Located in a residential neighborhood of mobile homes.
Very relaxing, pleasant hosts, excellent facility, delicious breakfasts, quiet, private location
having to leave
Wonderful hospitality. Very private and comfortable. Loved having a nature trail right out the back door. Delicious breakfast as well.
owners were very friendly, breakfast was delicious, house was very clean and cosy
Best breakfast I've ever eaten.
Breakfasts were amazing
Perfect if you plan on having a long morning in Flagstaff, the breakfast was really delicious with use of locally grown or produced products including a pepper jelly and beer jam. There are some really wonderful trails right behind the house, really perfect if you have the time to spend in the morning. Excellent hosts! Really wonderful to talk to them and hear about their experiences
it is not within walking distance of downtown, but was a really easy drive straight down hwy 66
The space was very private, nicely decorated and relaxing. We loved the breakfast that was so beautifully presented. The owners were very personable and interesting.
