People were friendly and helpful
Comfortable sleep, silk linen. Outstanding breakfast. Very helpful directions from the owners. Calm atmosphere, fireplace, billiard. Felt as at grandmother's house in childhood. Everything is close, though in village area.
The staff is wonderful, friendly, accomodating and helpful. The breakfast was really good and great coffee available throughout the day. The common area is nice, we played some pool a couple of nights. The hot tub in the snow, fun!
The Lodge is a work in progress. We had a drippy hot water faucet in our bathroom (not loud or anything) that needed a washer and the bathroom overhead lighting needed cleaning.
Loved the "honeymoon suite" amenities! Hot tub, jacuzzi tub, and a sauna! Beautiful fireplace, seperate space from the bedroom! It was beautiful, relaxing, and not far from home!
I was quite disappointed in the breakfast. It was something that I look forward to at a bed and breakfast... I would not expect cold cereal and Costco muffins for breakfast!
Beautiful location, friendly staff, hot tubs, family friendly. What more can I say? Awesome!
Clean, comfortable, reasonable price, and lots of character
Location, views, great breakfast, welcoming and friendly. You really do feel like you're on top of the world...
The hotel is a superb log cabin. We liked that - apart from the fact we could hear every word and noise from the next room.
We arrived late and the owner was more than accommodating. When we opened the door, the pictures did not do it justice. The bed was spook comfortable. We woke up late and went to check, knowing we missed breakfast. However, the staff brought everything back out so we could eat. It felt like home. Definitely will be back!!!
The hospitality and home feel
The staff was very friendly
We loved the view from the deck while relaxing in the hot tub! The room was cute and comfy with a rustic lodge feel, and had all we needed for the price. The location is off the beaten path, but perfect for us and right across the street from the Wondervu Cafe - our favorite Mexican restaurant (Careful, it's closed Mondays).
Wifi didn't work in our room but we weren't there for business anyhow!
The beautiful location The friendly and welcoming innkeepers, Rebecca and Michael! The feeling of ease and comfort that this place brought me
Rooms are a little noisy, but I know you're working on that :-) I have no complaints whatsoever.
Wonderfully re vamped, beautifully appointed w/ period furniture, nice amenities. Perfect location and great price. Breakfast was fantastic, fresh fruit, wide variety of cereals, eggs, make your own waffles and more, and importantly…good coffee
I couldn't stay longer, maybe with more cheerful weather….next time!
Wondervu is absolutely wonderful! We booked two nights for our family visiting from Germany. Over the last month, they toured the entire USA from Cali to New York and said this hotel was the most relaxing stay of the trip - comfortable rooms, charming décor, a private kitchen and patio, fabulous views, and friendly staff. We definitely will book again...
The view was amazing and the rm and staff where great we will defiantly be back
The views, location and lodgings are wonderful. I had my birthday party there and they were helpful in accommodating a group of twelve, eight of whom were only visiting for a few hours (after paying a small fee)
It could be a little difficult to find someone right away, so travelers who are prefer more on demand service may be frustrated by it. The wi-fi is spotty which I was fine with as this was a vacation to get away, but the New Yorkers I was traveling with we're nearly in a panic.
The hosts were exceptional. The big fireplace was great. The 2 large hot tubs on the decks looked so inviting. The pool table and the 80 inch tv in the 'family room' were excellent. The view from the decks were outstanding.
A few things were a bit worn but, added to the rustic charm.
We had booked the suite because it had a private deck, sauna and hot tub (wow). What we didn't realize was that this was the honeymoon suite and it clearly looked like that. Anyway, we felt right at home there. Cleanliness was excellent.
Just one small thing: It was a little bit dark in the suite because all the lights were rather "romantic". A few regular bright lights would help a lot.
Relaxed atmosphere Great views
Travelling there was a bit difficult.
Easily the best place we have ever stayed. Amazing common areas (billiard table, books, boardgames, huge tv, hot pools, bbq...), beautiful view on the mountain, comfortable and nice rooms, good breakfast. Helpful and friendly staff. Homey feeling.
We came down from Estes Park to spend a couple of days hiking the Indian Peaks. Had never heard of this place before but found it to be quite excellent for our purposes. Almost like a B & B in many ways with comfortable areas to sit and read, play games or watch a movie. Absolutely wonderful views from a magnificent deck out back, a comfortable room and an outstanding breakfast included in the room rate. Michael and his wife have done an amazing job renovating and rehabbing what was obviously an old and neglected lodge. This work is ongoing but there is everything here you could want as long as you're not looking for a luxury environment.
Eldora Lodge is ten miles from Nederland (the nearest town) so is a bit remote. NOT a major problem.
Location views hot tub
The staff was very friendly...family owned and operated. Shared activities in the near town-Nederland, restaurants recommended, and the gift store. Bed was very comfy, view was good of the mountain area. It did rain for 2 days so we did not use the hot tubs on the deck. Breakfast as very well presented...everything we needed was laid out early morning and a snack table was ready in the afternoon. Fireplace was blazing, pool table available and media room full of a huge TV. We will return. Very reasonable $.
We liked the lodge. Staff was great. Room was comfortable. Wifi did not work, but we were there to relax.
Location. Hard to find. Not really anything close.
Mike and staff. The view. The breakfast. The place. Overall, a great experience.
Apparent poor insulation between rooms.
The Staff was great, the owner was very interactive with his guests, provided excellent service. Had a wonderful breakfast service. Rooms were big and spacious.
