Good Value for the price.
Not exactly as pictured on line.
The bed was incredibly comfortable and the room was very clean.
Other than a push-button lock on the doorknob, there were no other security locks.
Everything was good except mice in our room
We had mice in our room ... Caught 4 in the mouse traps !!
We .really liked the comfort of the room and its location to Teton National Park. The price with Booking.com was amazing! It was perfect for our overnight stay.
Very large room with comfortable beds for a reasonable rate - would recommend it.
There were kids yelling during the night, but we couldn't figure out if they were outside or above us.
Great price Very clean Very secure Friendly staff Quiet
I would have liked to have an extra lock on the inside of the door (just for piece of mind!).
It was about one mile from town across from the Elk Preserve. No elk in Oct. but fields and mountain view very nice. Great kitchenette and décor. Very clean.
A little noise from traffic on road. We are used to total quiet at home I brought ear plugs for me. Fine for my husband.
The furniture is rustic and well-used but clean and comfortable. The wall-mounted flat screen tv was a perk. The microwave and mini-frige were very useful. Plenty of room to move around in the bathroom. You can hear trumpeter swans calling to each other out on the Elk Refuge. I imagine you can hear the elk calling to one another in the winter time when they are there. You're only a mile from town, far enough to avoid the buzz of the town while being close enough to run in for anything you might need or want to see. Otherwise, you aren't fighting traffic when you leave the Inn to head into the Park!
It appeared the room had been partially repainted; it was evident it had not been completed and there was still blue painter's tape around one of the outlet boxes! The inn is right of the only highway heading north of town, so expect some traffic, though it does taper off in the late evening. I recommend ear plugs if you are a light sleeper!
Much quieter than in town. Clean, comfortable and super value. Great location for base camp for visiting GTNP & surrounding area.
Bathroom was tight and electrical outlets could use replacing as they were pretty loose.
The place was very clean. Had huge nice towels and the bed linens were so white, Also had a microwave and fridge. Older place, but it felt very comfortable, Had a nice bench out at the entrance and coffee in room. Had shampoo, conditioner, lotion. A swing outside that we enjoyed one evening. Nestled along the mountain. Lovely.
Both the night clerk and the morning gal were curt. Almost abrasive. Had they been the least bit helpful in suggestions for diners, etc. it would have been helpful and they more tolerable, I certainly wouldn't want curt, abrasive, almost rude type of people greeting my customers.
Needs some updating.
The location. Friendly, helpful staff. Very large comfortable room.
Thermostat didn't work properly. It got very hot in the room when the heat was on.
View, room size, location furnishing in the room
Poor shower and kitchenette need some upgrade to go along with the nice quality of the room
Clean a n d quiet. Suite type room with 2 TVs
The room is big and the facilities are all in good condition. Check-in and check-out were so fast and hassle free. There are plenty of mooses across the street in the refuge, but we didn't have time to watch.
We brought in two GPS and none of them can locate the hotel address correctly, but the hotel signage is obvious enough to find on our way to Jackson.
The view from the front window of the room, overlooked the national elk refuge. Every morning looking out the window and seeing a huge meadow area right in front of the mountains, is breathe taking. Located on the highway that runs up through the Grand Tetons national park, into yellowstone park.
The convenience to the National Parks was wonderful. We found the the Inn could use a little make-over, but, the cleanliness and service was excellent.
The toilet shower area in the room was cramped, whereas the vanity area had ample room. That's it, everything else was good.
We stayed one night in September ($170). I see now you can get a room for $58. At that price it might be worth considering - but do read this review first! Issues we experienced...Room 103! 1. When we checked into our room we noticed there was no deadbolt, chain, or other secondary locking mechanism. There were indications of a possible deadbolt at one time, but it's no longer there. I see now that other reviewers have mentioned this. I've never, ever stayed in a Hotel/Motel room before without a secondary security mechanism. There were no 'incidents', but the following morning before we checked out I was able to pop the 'locked' door open from the outside with a credit card in less than 10 seconds. I'm not a cat burglar, but I could easily be one at the Elk Refuge. Bear in mind that the front door is just a few feet from a busy highway and right next store to a gas station & convenience mart - so there's a lot of activity just steps away. In my mind this is a significant security issue, and if the establishment does not do anything about it, then shame on them. That alone warrants a 1 star rating from me. 2. After checking in we experienced a periodic humming sound throughout the room. It seemed to come from behind/above the bathroom tub,and lasted a few minutes each time. We called the front desk and they came to check on it. We were told they'd call the 'maintenance man' to have him investigate. Of course that was the last we heard of that. It seemed to dissipate during the night. I have since found a Tripadvisor review from November 2013 from guests who stayed in the same room and reported the exact same problem. They eventually checked out rather than try and live with it. So it's not been fixed in 10 months and probably never will be. I bet the 'maintenance man' knows what the answer is. 3.
No door deadbolt lock or chain and walkways boards and railings are in very poor condition.
Nice cozy bed. Free coffee, muffins & donuts in the morning are very thoughtful.
I had little trouble to open the door at first day. It is fine otherwise
Extremely overpriced. Would be good value at half the price. Coffee and muffins , available at a table in check- in foyer, were not an acceptable breakfast. Avoid if possible although Jackson is expensive---why I don't know as it leaves a lot to be desired
Location and view
very small rooms, very uncomfortable beds and price !! Not worth $200 a night more like $59 Housekeeping forget to make up and room and leave behind basic supplies each and every day. I stopped tipping after two days. Would not stay there again. Unless you are a single person who like small spaces.....move on
Good location, with a great view of the Elk Refuge.
Their power went out because of a storm. Unfortunately they do not have a backup generator for their well pump, thus we had no water to flush the toilet. In visiting with an employee it was pointed out that they also have a problem with mice.
location across from the elk refuge would be great in the winter when the elk herd is there.
Vey low end facility in general, very poor value for the money, extremely cramped, would be out of business in most places that weren't top tourist destinations
