Cova Hotel  

Utnyttjade endast gymmet, litet men funktionellt. Bra frukost och genuint trevlig, serviceminded personal, utmärkt rent och snyggt.

Trevligt hotell men något ruffiga omgivningar. Det är dock endast fem minuters promenad till downtown och Civic Center. Fördelen är att man som gäst verkligen får tillfälle att se det andra San Francisco med utslagna, hemlösa och soppköer. Aldrig hotfullt men kanske påfrestande för ömtåliga resenärer.

Trevligt bemotande i receptionen och en billig uppgradering till svit hojde helhetsintrycket till OK

Location - lamnar en del ovrigt att onska. Ellis Street ar numera samlingsplats for uteliggare och socialt utslagna, vilket forsvarar ansatsen till promenader i naromradet. De tar till att borja nmed inte sarskilt trevligt inslag och an mer viktigt, det kanns inte tryggt/sakert att gora det efter morkrets inbrott.

The breakfast is awfull. The place where breakfast is served is too small for the amounth of people staying in this hotel. Also the bathroom is not clean at all. I was there for my honeymoon and I was counting days to leave this hotel.

Staff were extremely friendly and helpful (especially Veronica) and the breakfast buffet was excellent.

The location was central to downtown but Ellis is not a very nice street/area. Lots of homeless people around. Didn't get any hassle though.

Very comfortable, good showers and toilets. Peaceful and quiet. Business friendly.

Location of hotel near homeless shelters, poor wi-fi connection in the rooms. But otherwise everything else ok.

Hotel itself was nice, with modern facilities.

The location was not in a good part of downtown. Homeless shelter is located across the street from hotel, which made it unsafe to walk streets, especially at night. Walls are not thick. Can hear everything. Breakfast did not include hot items, except for waffle station which was not attended to, so many people left a mess due to improper use of griddle. My advice, get to breakfast early.

The friendly staff is the best thing the hotel has going for it.

The location was awful. It is difficult to walk to downtown especially at night because of a safety concern. Secondly, the rooms have no thermostat control and it was very warm; only alternative is to open the sliders which makes it very noisy.

surrounded by homeless people as soon as we got out of the Hotel door, spits and filthy smell. really disgusting. toilet doent flush probably honestly we got trap to stay at Cova for 10 nights and we could not get the refund due to your inflexible policy. we felt very uncomfortble and unsafe the whole time there.

Veronica and the staff were so awesome. I was a little afraid on the first day, but they treated us so great. Sharing all the secrets of where to walk , where to eat, and what to try. Loved it.

A little scary neighborhood.

Our room was lovely, really large and well equipped for the price. Free Internet was good - wired slightly faster than Wifi on my laptop. Loved the breakfast, although you sometimes had to wait for the scrambled egg and bacon to arrive. The views from the breakfast room were great and the serving staff were sweet. The other hotel staff were also good, friendly but also knowledgeable about the area and the city in general.

The area is a bit 'gritty' but we didn't feel unsafe and we have a 3 year old lad. The upside was a convenience store on every corner, an excellent barber for my lad to get his hair cut and you could walk to Union Square in 10 mins. We found the Americans we met were worried about the area but the other Europeans agreed it was a slice of the real city. We certainly felt safer than in a equivalebnt area of Barcelona, such as the Raval.

Clean Hotel and great view for breakfast!!!!
