From the moment we arrived, my partner and I loved our stay athe the Elysée. Staff at the desk and throughout the hotel were welcoming, courteous and helpful without being intrusive. Nothing seemed too much trouble: there were even umbrellas available when it rained. The rooms were lovely, and the breakfast and lounge refreshment facilities were excellent - an oasis of quiet and calm even at the peak breakfast times. Our room was always quiet, even though it was next to the elevator. It was spacious and comfortable, with a well-stocked and nicely laid-out bathroom. The in-room safe was easy to use and of good size even with 2 laptops and other items. We welcomed the free wireless internet access, and the computer and printing facilities next to the lounge. It is a great base to explore New York City, and to come back to rest. We would have liked to be able to make tea and coffee in our room, and the small number of elevators was a problem when demand was high. |

Very responsive staff. Complimentary breakfast, drinks and cheese. Location great to access all NYC has to offer. Comfortable room - good size. When we arrived from the UK at 2.00 pm our room wasn't ready and we had to wait 40 minutes. |

The location was convenient The lighting in the bathroom was very poor. The hairdryer was useless and the TV was facing the door. You couldn't see it from the bed or from the sitting area. It made no sense at all. |

Very good all round. Staff excellent. location fabulous. I can't wait to come back and stay again - and have another heavenly breakfast bagel. We had our 6 month old daughter with us and we couldn't have found everyone more accomodating or welcoming. |

Great room and rate. Great service and I love the free breakfast in the morning. My only neutral coment is having one elevator and 15 floors makes vertical travel a bit slow. For my purposes of business and leisure the Elysee is where I call home in New York City. |

Great location. I loved meeting other guest during breakfast or in the evening wine and cheese. The staff was so friendly and always made me and my family feel welcome. The mattress was sagging in the middle. A little uncomfortable but not unbearable. |

Very well placed, excellent breakfast and evening drinks/tapas, helpful, efficient staff, comfortable very clean room with nice bath. I made a really good choice coming here. The only problem I had was rather noisy air-conditioning from the building opposite which was beyond the hotel's control. |

The staff were e4xcellent. Friendly, helpful and knowledgeable although I was directed to Cellinis restaurant the first night which I thought was poor quality, unfriendly and a financial rip off. $67 dollars for a glass of beer, a glass of water and two chicken breasts in tomato sauce with one potato wedge and a sliver of broccoli. Yes....The hotel room was very dirty. The bedcovers were full of dust as were the curtains. The tables were only dusted on the front and the edges of the windows and floors were very dirty. It did not look as if it had been cleaned properly in a very long time. We also did not like having access to our room by lift only. The stairs were always locked and we had to wait ages for the lift sometimes. |

The location of the hotel is great and the hotel staff was really friendly and helpful. The breakfast room has a nice arrangement but did not have enough sitting accommodations. On 3 of 5 days I had to wait for an open table. |

The staff were efficient and welcoming, unfailingly courteous and thoughtful during the length of my stay; the room was clean, comfortable and well appointed, semi-spacious by some New York standards; coffee all day and continental breakfast in the 2nd floor lounge are nice touches Not that I can think of: one of my most pleasant stays in NYC regardless of price. |
