I needed help getting a taxi one night, so I called the front desk for assistance....I asked for the phone number for a good taxi, and instead of help, the night attendant got very rude and insulting, as if I should already know a number...I'm from a small college town on the west coast, so I'm not familiar with the taxi services in Wash.D.C., Ya know?! The night attendant is a good man face to face, he just may sound cranky over the phone.
Your Embassy Inn located at 1627 16th NW has soo much potential. It has a nice warm and cozy feeling, but a few things missing, that would make it very special. Your front entrance is nice, but sometimes people smoke right in front of the door....this doesn't look good or smell good. Also, you may consider having a slightly bigger sign out front. It was hard to find, especially for Taxi drivers. Investing in a small refrigerated machine filled with juices for sale would be so nice. I loved the lounge area, and it would be nice to serve fresh baked cookies from 8:00pm-8:30pm...lastly, pen and paper pads in each room, along with chocolate mints on the bed on the first night stay is an excellent touch...I really like this place, but please consider small changes!! All other services were fantastic especially customer service from Delores at the front desk. Very attentive, positive, and professional.
