Very nerrow bed for two adults
No parking, rooms tooooo small, very loud
No electricity the first night. Second night TV wasn't working. Outlets by the bed had no covers and didn't work well. Very tiny room. Not made for couples or more. Will not return next year for this yearly event.
Cheap price for the DC area. Room was clean for a quick stay.
If you don't care about the sizes of your..the "free" breakfast ...are the overall look of facility you will be laying your head down at..well come here because the great thing about this hotel was location...in walking distance of the capital..
The bed was awful, the staff had a very loud gathering outside my door first thing in the morning, the wifi didn't actuslly connect to the Internet, missing tiles on the shower floor and some weird smell permeated the room.
Location is all it has going for it
Small and cold room problems with wifi
Good location of hotel
I was not prepared for how small the room was. The carpet looked like it was original to the building and the heating was loud. Also, I did not know there was no doorman and that one had to ring the bell to gain access to the building.
they lied about internet. no internet in rooms. worst rooms ever seen. old furniture, couldn't fit chair near desk because was "on top of" bed. elevator had no button for exit floor. terrible staff. difficult to access hotel due to many stairs. staff refused to help. run down. messy front desk, generally bad
Hauling bags up the stairs, tiny room, no in room coffee or refrigerator, very poor wifi.
Location!!!! Great price for the location, but few amenities. Some staff friendly, some not. .
When I arrived, they cancelled my room because of full booking, without any information before. And although they pick me up to another hotel, that hotel arrange our couple into a basement, which only has a small bed and 10 meter squire instead of amy king size standard room booking. After argue with them, they finally change my room to another basement, which is a little big. However, although they are out of rooms, they still arrange a second floor room to a white couples.
I arrived late and they transferred me to the Windsor Inn hotel with no prior notice and no excuses were made. I'm really disappointed ;(
Value for Money. Very small rooms.
The bed was ok, but not super comfy. I tried to connect to the internet but it didn't work. But I was there very shortly so I didn't really need it and didn't seek the staff to address the problem. Breakfast is not included so I preferred going out to have mine.
The location is perfect to spend a night out in DC. Close to DuPont circle and to 14th street
Most staff were nonchalant. Wifi was useless, rooms small
Closeness to eateries
Staff talking in Spanish about the guests and my friends. I had to let them know that they needed to be careful when thinking someone who is not Hispanic cannot speak or does not understand Spanish. I told them in clear Spanish.
A staff person who took the time to attempt to fix the broken blinds in the room. He gave me another room when he realized that he could not fix it.
Horrible internet. Couldn't stay connected so I had to use my mobile hotspot. It was the only thing that kept my stay from being perfect.
Comfy beds, friendly service. Close to transportation and tourist destinations.
Nothing bad about this place but nothing great either. Bus stop right outside, subway a 10min walk away. Rooms have wifi and TV. Surprisingly spacious rooms considering the narrow hallways. Free coffee and tea all day downstairs in the lobby/lounge. Microwave available there as well. Supermarket one block away. We could leave our luggage all day.
There were about 7 wifi networks and none seemed to work properly.
Fairly close to downtown.
Less choice of breakfast and doorbell.
Free coffee and water, free parking on street, two double beds, and short driving to the interesting places were good.
Had reservations and they try to move me to another hotel said they were full but found a room surprise Also had a reservation for Friday night at the same hotel and had to be moved to another hotel even though I had booked it through booking.com Thinking twice about Booking . Com
Did not have to sleep outside in 0 weather
My bedroom had a portable heater, so it wasn't warm enough. WiFi wasn`t working properly in all areas.
Nice Staff, conveniently located to my D.C. ofice
No Parking....street parking very hard to find...ended up parking in a nearby lot.4 blocks away that cost almost more that $50 for the night.
Nice location friendly staff good value for room if you don't need to park a car
The wifi (and the staff attitude regarding the wifi) were awful. There was about 6 different wifi connections available, and the staff instructed us to choose any of them. All of the signals said they were strong in the lobby, however, from our room, not a single one of them worked. As a traveling couple, we were relying on wifi for all of our travel plans etc, and not being able to use wifi in our room was a big hindrance for us. Each time we addressed this issue with the staff, they told us just to try a different network.
This hotel is just 1.3km from the White House, and from there, all the monuments and museums are easily walkable too. The room was cozy and comfortable.
WiFi in my room was so bad that I often come to front desk to stay connected
