The free breakfast and happy hour was a great value.
Really nice room, up-to-date design and amenities.
Lack of room service. Have to pay extra for parking and internet.
- location - room size and amenities - convenient parking
- a bit far away from 6th Street
This hotel is located at the end of Congress Bridge, so it's helpful to have a car to go to town, restaurants and museums. The staff was not helpful in recommending places to eat, suggesting places to visit. The pm reception and breakfast were very good. Parking garage and navigating the surrounding roads was difficult. Be sure to watch the "bat flight" off the bridge after dusk-amazing!
As stated, staff was not helpful in suggesting restaurants, not even giving us a list of nearby places, as most hotels do. The living room of our suite was dark and uninviting; the bedroom was find. There was no safe in our room.
The location was perfect for our needs. Our room was very comfortable and nicely decorated. The staff at the front desk were great (our favorite part of our stay). So friendly and very helpful.
No complaints at all.
I and 7 of my friends stayed the weekend at Embassy Suites in downtown Austin in late September. The rooms were very nice, and very clean and comfortable. Breakfast was a wonderful treat every morning, as was happy hour in the evenings. The staff at this location was also so helpful and wonderful all around. The hotel transportation van was also a big plus and the location was perfect. I've already recommended this hotel to multiple coworkers and friends. My friends and I had a wonderful experience here and I personally plan to return to Embassy Suites the next time I travel.
Cleanliness and location.
The decor and overall aethetic is extremely dated and depressing.
Upgrade to the 9th floor was great. The staff was knowledgeable and friendly, especially the desk clerk. Room and view was awesome. Slept very well after enjoying the pool.
Construction and parking.
Staff was excellent
No towels at the pool. (Late night)
Like the general set up of the room and the open dining. Staff was friendly. Location was good, close to river and other activities. Breakfast staff was great.
Excercise room was too warm and not stocked appropriately. Managers reception was nice but the appetizers were bland and not at the level I have seen at other Embassy Suites locations.
This is the best hotel to stay at if you're doing the Cap Tex Triathlon on Memorial Day. There's guy who cooks breakfast there who is so amazing, I think he invented breakfast.
I didn't actually stay there. We saw on the web page that they were "dog friendly" but that friendliness costs $75, not a deposit but a fee. Maybe we're new to how dog friendly hotels work, but I wish that was a little more upfront. Other than that, great hotel and staff.
The free shuttle service to anywhere in san Antonio. The staff was very friendly and tried to be accomodating.
Only disappointment was that we wanted to extend our stay by 1 day and no rooms were availabe, but that was not the hotel's fault.
I loved the bed ! and the location was great
the $20 Parking per day .
Location was good with very friendly staff. The workout room was decent. The rooms were spacious and clean.
The hotel common areas were badly in need of a makeover. With parking, it was $300 per night, which wasn't a bargain for the condition of the hotel.
Great location to our favorite spots in Austin. Will definitely stay here again!
Breakfast is outstanding! The atmosphere is quiet and relaxing. Great to be so close to events, shopping and restaurants,
breakfast, cliff @ the bar, restaurant, room service, the cleaning crew.
the fact that u have 2 pay 2 pack. I also think the price 2 park is way 2 high.
My booking reference number 569483924 quoted a guaranteed rate of $89.55 per night with a total before taxes of $686.55. The amount charged by the hotel was $1031.55 including taxes. We paid a separate charge for valet parking at the hotel. Please let me know why the amount charged by the hotel was so much more that the guaranteed rate.
The staff were friendly and very helpful. The courtesy shuttle was a great benefit.
We were there six nights. No consistency in getting our room cleaned earlier in the day. We had to call housekeeping 3 days because it was after 3pm and the room had not been done.
Free Breakfast and Happy Hour Suite concept - very roomy Good location
Price a little high given location was not really city centre but acceptable
