Very nice facility and breakfast was great.
Overcharged my debit card twice, and manager didn't understand why this happen. I understand about the deposit if you are paying with a debit or check card. But this wasn't the deposit charge, it was the amount of my room twice. She did work on getting the extra charges taken off but it will take at least take 5 days before we will see the money. Thank goodness we had extra money.
Like have a living room separate from the bedroom. Also liked having a small refrigerator.
Living room furniture was very old and needs to be updated.
There was nothing not to like
I liked everything about my stay :) I will be back :)
The atmosphere, staff and location.
The room sort of smelled and the bed made my and my boyfriends back ache.
The staff was very nice, courteous, and helpful.
The hotel is due for a refresh - thinking the last refresh was done in early 2000s. For an Embassy Suites, the room was very small and the bathroom was terribly equipped. The water pressure in the shower was non-existent. Our room was on the fifth floor and could not have been more noisy, not due to hotel noise, but due to outside noise and traffic. It was so bad that we only stayed one night out of our planned four night stay - we switched hotels and are much happier with the new location at a different hotel.
The water glasses! Loved the window curtains. :D Free breakfast was nice. Very quiet environment. Happy I could change the temperature in the room. The bed was nice.
Shower pressure was pretty weak.
Friendly Staff Clean Great Breakfast & Managers Reception
Proximity to other city attractions
Loved everything about the hotel with the exception of the shower. My sister and I both tried to turn it on and never could. Thankfully we were only staying one night and it was so late when we came in we were too tired to complain.
Everything was great
Since we were traveling with our daughter, we loved the fact that there was a sofa sleeper in the living room area. We also loved the free breakfast buffet. The hotel is convenient to uptown Charlotte and to Carrowinds.
We did not realize until we got there that there is a charge for Internet access. I would expect hotels of level to offer complimentary internet access to it's customers. I was very dissapointed.
The atrium was beautiful. There was plenty of parking. The breakfast buffet was plentiful and plenty of places to sit. The rooms are spacious, wish I had booked a king instead of double beds.
The first thing I noticed was the indoor Jacuzzi by the pool looked small and dirty. Mentioned it to the front desk who immediately got on the radio for maintenance to look at it. The indoor pool area was overwhelming with chemical smell and eyes burned even if you didn't get in the pool. The outdoor area near the pool did not allow smoking unlike other Embassy Suites where I stayed. The evening reception on Saturday night was a joke, with limited offers on your "free beverages" (don't do without the tickets they gave you) limit of two and the snacks were good, but choice of chips, peanuts and carrots was about the extent of it as again compared to other Embassy Suites I have stayed at and Sunday night not sure if they even offered it at all. The toilet overflowed in our bathroom. Maintenance was quick to the emergency rescue at 6 in the morning. We did not get maid service so when we had to go get coffee cups for the next morning, it was like pulling teeth, had to ask twice. The adjoining restaurant was poor service but good food and expensive for burger and beers. We asked for a specific channel and they had a hard time finding it though we were told by the front desk they had it and so we missed a major sporting event. Overall not the ambience, quality and service for the expensive price we paid to stay at an Embassy Suites. Oh, they also not only charge a lot for two nights, but also put a $100 hold on your account for "incidentals." The only smoking area is on the far side of the hotel...didn't like that.
Worn out. Strong smell of perfume in room. Very noisy pumps in pool area. Breakfast ok. Two beverage limit at Managers reception. $171 is way to much for this hotelroom. Will not stay again. (Free transportation to lightrail and airport -very nice drivers)
Needs to be updated. Could hear thru walls - other guests using vulgar language. Had us sign form as courtesy to other guest which wasn't enforced such as noise level well past specified time. Spa was dirty and only luke warm. The included breakfast was a free omelet. Would have been upset if I had paid full price.
Morning breakfasts were nice. Check out time was good for families.
The happy hour snacks were not what we've come to expect. A couple of bags of chips and peanuts were not worth the time to wander downstairs. Beds were far too soft. We all had backaches.
breakfast made to order
overpriced for wi-fi and movie rentals
Food ,clean, staff , safe
I attended my nephew wedding on, 8/17/13. The Facilities were clean and up to date. The Staff was friendly and helpful. I did not want to leave.
