location/flexibility of staff/size of room. Friendly and helpfulness of staff. Great fo pre/postcruise but one or two nights enough.
Rooms are in need of updated double glazing as noise from outside was easily heard and disturbing eg traffic, plant working.
Beautiful hotel lovwd the pool area and breakfast was so good.
Our housekeeper was very rude and never came to clean our the first day. The next day while were there I needed an extra towel and she was rude when I asked for new one.
Location and the hotel enviroment.
Housekeeping and paid wifi.
overall room and hotel friendly and room OK
very crowded at breakfast, hard to get a table, hard to get any food without staying on line also restaurant in the evening Ok, but hard to find
Great location , clean, great breakfast .
Lied about offering a shuttle from airport to their hotel ( the booking site said FREE SHUTTLE, had to pay for my own taxi, wanted proof of site, not very helpful .
Our stay was very good. We were there only one night as we went on a cruise the ext day. The staff was very helpful in answering any questions we had.
The breakfast was good. You can have fruits and fresh made omlettes. No plastic plates and really utensils.
The room was not really cleaned. An old under paints lays under the bed. The shower curtain was old and dirty. Our room was near the main ventilation system and so it was noisy at the night. One of our card for opening the door didn`t work. At the next day also the other one didn`t work either.
Those that work behind the scenes are the foundation of a great run company and need to be recognized for their expertise and services. The Luggage, Bar, Front Desk & Hotel Operator Staff and Shuttle Drivers all play a special part in the comfort of one's stay. Great Breakfast & Reception.
Really don't have anything negative to say.
Embassy is always the best value for your stay. Huge rooms and overall great experience.
I had a few surprising experiences that I was very upset that an Honors Hilton member would experience. I had family and friends in town for New Years and I wanted to use Embassy Suites because of the value and brand of service. I booked two rooms under my name and spouse. First, I thought all rooms would be ready by 4PM? One of the rooms were ready, but the other room the supervisor never made her way there, even after the front desk told her. Also, when I asked about a late check out from 11am to 12PM the representative said we need to check the next day. The next day she said no. Are you kidding me?? All my years of staying at your hotels, this is what I get. Understand, the hotel was booked because of New Year's and everyone was checked out or about too. Bad customer service decision. Would like to see if you can make this right for my family and friends when they come back down to Florida in May and we cruise out of Miami.
We found this hotel to be a good start on our vacation. To start there were a brekfast worth the name. The location are not next to beach or city centre but it doesnt matter. Lots of restaurants and shops nearby. This hotel also have training facilities (a small gym). At night they had complimentary drinks and snacks which were most appreciated.
No free wifi!!!!! Come on its 2015 not 1995!!!
Great location for the cruise terminal. Staff was excellent. Will book the next trip to FLL here too.
Hard to find a seat at breakfast with such a crowd.
Breakfast. And happy hour at night.
I slipped and fell in the shower bathtub, I reported it, I'm ok, , but tub was very slippery I told the hotel, to put down better non slip tape. They didn't do it while we were there.
Very clean room. Breakfast hot and tasty. Location great. All but one staff member, excellent!
One front desk staff member was not friendly.
The free 2 hour bar and complimentary snacks, excellent breakfast and good location for cruise terminal .
Atomsphere. Complentary drinks. Complementary breakfest.
Staff are extremely friendly and helpful. Enjoyed complimentary breakfast and nightly manager's reception. Great location close to restaurants and shops. Beach is just a short trip away on the Sun Trolley.
- Excellent location. - Nice inviting open window suite decor upon arrival. - Excellent room service guest service relations and service delivery. The young man who delivered to my room on the evening of 30th November was very friendly and professional. After he set my food down I asked him to wait as I had a tip for him. The room door closed and he appropriately opened it back up as he waited for me to get the tip. - Shuttle service organization and transport to cruise port. The 2 gentleman who were operating the service from the hotel on the early afternoon of 1st December were wonderful. One had a clipboard lining up passengers and one was a driver. As it was only me, the one with the clipboard asked an affiliated driver to take me to cruise port. However, when that driver went inside and took far too long, he asked his colleague to transport me who graciously did. During ride to airport, he provided lots of useful tips such as taking a photo of my passport page in case I lost it. He also warned about using my credit card in one of the ports.
- Having to pay for wifi. The price of hotel room was expensive enough as it was. I didn't bother using it. Last year I came to Fort Lauderdale the night before a cruise and stayed at another comparable hotel that had free wifi. - The completely arrogant decision to charge guests who don't check out by 11:00 am a $20 fee. If you want to be unfair and charge a late checkout fee, at least remind guests of the policy on check-in. I don't recall seeing this notice of a late checkout fee when I booked online, but even if I did, I had booked my room weeks prior and forgotten. I arrived in Fort Lauderdale on Sunday the 30th November after travelling on 2 flights from outside of the US. After a long day of travelling, do you not think that perhaps a guest could have been jet-lagged? When I got to front desk the woman who served me abruptly told me thay it would be a $20 late checkout fee. I explained that I didn't know. It was around 12:15pm and I had just been sitting in my room and no housekeeper was in sight, so I am not sure what the big deal was. Coincidentally, another guest right next to me was checking out late and was told she would be charged. She became irate and the person serving her took charge off her bill. My final thoughts: 1) if you want to have a late checkout policy reiterate this to guests when they arrive. 2) if guest is late and you tell them you will be charging a fee, don't be arrogant and scold the guest for doing something wrong. It's more about one's approach. The lady took the $20 charge off my bill, but still, it's the approach. 3) Because of that customer service, when I come back to Fort Lauderdale in the future, I won't be staying at this hotel!
The convenience to the cruise port and shops.
It is an aging Embassy Suites and not as clean as we are used to. Didn't like being told that the room we booked was not available and ended up in a double, smoking room.
the room was noisy, we were placed outside the elevator, no balcony, old looking room needs updating, bathroom carpet etc. The breakfast was cold and greasy yuk
We only stayed one night so did not have time to use all the facilities of a suite but this is good space if staying longer. Complimentary drinks for two hours each evening is wonderful. Did have to queue up for them but not a problem.
Would have liked free wifi throughout the hotel but only had this in the business centre for printing off boarding passes etc.
The staff was very helpful
Beautiful lobby Great location, near the airport Breakfast was good
Busy, loud street outside Dirty bathroom Had to pay for parking and wifi
the room was big it felt like suite. The beds were very good and clean. It was an ok stay.. However I WILL NOT stay here again! The service was mediocre.
On the day of check out, one of the housekeepers knocked on our door and all the doors in our hallway telling us "get up, get up" so I called the manager on duty and complaint about what she did. My son staying in another room, received a call at 4am telling him he was going to miss his plane when he did not requested a wake up call... it was horrible! All service employees looked very unhappy and were rude to people!...
Convenient location, included evening reception and full breakfast, heated pool, jacuzzi and sauna, comfortable, spacious rooms
No wipes in fitness center, very busy lobby and breakfast service
Location was great, not to far from the trolley, restaurants/shops and beach. like the pool, and breakfast and I will come to visit again.
you need to serve better food at the managers reception. Drinks are good however popcorn etc. is something but I know you all can do better. Veggie and dip, wing dings are more like it.
