This hotel is located 2 miles from the Sprint Center Arena in Kansas City, Missouri. The Fairfield Inn provides a daily breakfast buffet and rooms with free Wi-Fi.
Score from 79 reviews Excellent
We loved the cooked to order breakfast.
Great room. Classy, clean, great view, comfy bed, love the living room with the 2nd television.
I didn't realize that the wifi was extra $$$ until doing this survey. That's disappointing.
bed very comfortable. nice kitchen area.
10th floor ice machine on this floor did not work. I called in to desk - never did work during stay. I felt for the price and an embassy it was not as clean as it should be. the floors, especially in the halls needed vaccummed. I know they were very busy the days we were there but still needed attention.
It was close to plaza
That you don't have free wifi for all your guest. And happy hour on Saturday night was not so good bartenders really didn't know what they were doing and there was only two when there could of been three.
The morning breakfast was great. Very good and the staff was great.
The room wasn't available until after 5:30 pm and forgot to call us during are time waiting for the room.
I liked how close it was to the Sprint Center which was the reason for our trip, a concert.
I didn't like paying for parking, some of the towels in the room were dirty, we asked for a cab to be ready for us at 6:30PM and by 6:45 there was no cab. We went to the lobby and the lady said they are first come first serve which would have been nice to know when I made the original request.
My stay at Embassy suites was relaxing.
Young teens all over the building, hanging out and when asked to leave they wouldn't. The police ended up having to come. And that was very uneasy.
I like the quiet and the good treatment of staff
Parking is expensive and the internet should be free at least in the lobby!!
The ambiance was inviting and unexpected; clean. Felt like I was in Spain - a real getaway. The pools were a perfect temperature. Breakfast was abundant and FREE!?! Managers reception at night. Good heavens...what a great deal.
More physical attention to people in pool area is a MUST. Signs are clear "no jumping" "no diving". Parents literally allowing their children to CLIMB the pool waterfalls to jump into 4, 5, and 6' of water. The top of waterfalls are 4' high above pool. SHAME on those parents; we saw this happen on two occasions. Yes, we told the front both times; they reacted immediately.
The staff was very informative and friendly. We enjoyed the manager's reception and breakfast.
I did not like being charged for parking my vehicle.
The hotel was very clean and spacious. It was close to the plaza activities. We enjoyed the complimentary cocktail hour and the breakfast the next morning was fabulous.
The AC unit was a little loud and it was hard to stay asleep as it would kick on and off. Parking was not free.
Walking distance to many shops, attractions, bars, restaurants in hip KC neighborhood. Hotel staff were super friendly and the hotel itself is spotless and gorgeous. Free happy hour every day with snacks and full bar, and free breakfast with cooked to order food! Can't be beat. A little more expensive than the 816 hotel but well worth it. Will go again!
Free shuttle service within 2 miles radius of hotel Complimentary reception each evening with free drinks and snacks Excellent breakfast buffet with cooked to order omelettes
Lounge area of our suite smelled rather stale - probably because windows to outside are sealed shut, presumably for safety reasons.
My visit was the best by farm
Room service menu should be larger.. more selection of food.
Everything but the pull out bed.
The pull out bed was not unlike a medieval torture rack. Awful! The staff took off $50.00, but the bed should be in the dumpster by Monday a.m.
Location, convenience, range of facilities
Limited paid parking and lack of free internet
location helpful staff breakfast
room service dishes not picked up daily. hallway to elevators not vaccuumed regularly
Breakfast food was good
Happy hour line too long snacks not worth wait we had mold on the ceiling of our room there were dirty linens and room service food in the hall for hours maid entered our room while we were still sleeping at 8 am
It would be nice if there was a Shuttle to the light district
The Staff is GREAT!
The bathroom is very small!
Very impressed with everything!! Happy hour, pool, breakfast, staff, location.
Sofa bed not very comfortable.
no way to open a window for circulation in the smoking room.
Loved the shuttle to nearby locations. Driver was very helpful and friendly. Comfortable beds, but not two queens, just doubles.
I stay at this chain because of the great hot breakfasts. Not so great here. We were told breakfast was served until 9:30, but when we got down a little after 9 we were told made to order was closed but we could choose from what was remaining on the buffet. Not much! Also the room was in need of an update. Peeling wallpaper and uncomfortable living room seating.
We love Embassy Suites and the amminities such as breakfast and managers happy hour. Room size is also always a plus and location is key with this chain. Always close to shopping and good food.
Bedding and carpet needed replaced. They were stained. Shower curtain smelled sour and shower leaked and kept the floor wet. We were only there one night so I didn't ask to move rooms. 1 elevator not working at all and the line to get an elevator was crazy. Talked to the manager about that but he brushed it off. Not one of the nicer Embassy's I've stayed in and it's a shame because it's in a beautiful part of the city. Hotel lobby was in nice shape and rest of the staff was very helpful.
Breakfast was delicious and a great value. Shuttle service was nice to have. Location was great for what we had planned, and the hot tub and pool were top notch. Layout of the rooms was nice.
Our room, unbeknownst to us until we got there, was a smoking room. It reeked of smoke and smelled like someone had smoked a carton of cigarettes prior to our stay. Also, the shuttle service was a bit slow. They were always 10-15 minutes late to when they said they would be there.
