Whilst it may not be a five star boutique, this is a great suite hotel, very clean and comfortable. What's more, we got a great breakfast included in the rate, as well as a nightly free drinks reception. The building is a quirky 60s icon with an interesting history, but the layout means that the suites are huge, with good kitchen, dining and lounge areas. Ours had a balcony overlooking the cathedral, art museum and other nice old buildings. It doesn't have a restaurant except the adjacent TGI Fridays, so we preferred to eat out at some of the great local restaurants. Front desk staff were cheerful and helpful. The location is brilliant - walking distance from the shopping and historic districts. Great value. Nice little gym, 24 hour free business centre, free in room Wi Fi - all great. The only issues we had were that the breakfast room (in TGI Fridays) could get crowdedvand run out of food! I think this was because our stay coincided with a big rowing tournament and the hungry rowers had devoured everything in sight! But the food was quickly replenished. Also, they forgot to make up our room one day. When I called front desk they sent someone straight up.

Jackie was wonderful!! She went over and above and we are from Texas so we needed extra help. All of the staff were helpful, but she stood out above the rest.

Location was good and rooms were very comfy. Their are not setup to handle large numbers of clientele. We had extended waits for the elevator (on 18th floor I didn't feel like walking). At breakfast we had to let a number pass by as they were packed with people. Breakfast area at 8:30 was out of food, no spoons, knives or mugs for coffee. Toaster wasn't working and you could barely move to get to the remaining crumbs of food. Definitely not set up for handling the number of rooms they had.

I really like the fact that they are very clean, service is very good and on point. The free drinks from 5-7 was my favorite part but overall it was excellent I just think the valet parking was too much they charged me 45 U.s dollars for just 1 night but other than that they were good

The staff was extremely friendly. They helped us take our car top carrier off of the car in order to "fit" into the parking facility. The breakfast was a fiasco. The restaurant did not seem prepared for the holiday crowd. The elevators were overly busy on the way to breakfast creating a bit of a bottleneck

I was pleasantly surprised at the size of the room and as usual with other Embassy Suites, the cleanliness. I can always count on this hotel chain for comfort and professional/friendly employees. I also like that there are still smoking rooms available, especially after a long day of travel, it is inconvenient to have to go outside in the cold to satisfy a disgusting habit (I know). I will certainly stay at the Embassy Suites when I return in 4 months; made my trip relaxing when I got to the hotel and my guest thought the same about the staff and room. Kudos to all of you who make a tedious trip more pleasant, even the valet was more than happy to bring our bags in or whatever they could do to assist. Sincerely, Audrey Brown

The hotel is in a great spot, easy to walk to downtown attractions. The staff were mostly knowledgeable and were friendly and helpful. The space was so large we didn't quite know what to do with it all - perfect for a longer stay. We would definitely stay here again. The shower has a lower ceiling for anyone over 6'4" but is manageable.

I loved everything about this hotel. The rooms were comfortable and spotless but the best thing about this hotel was the staff. What lovely people and they treated us like we were the only people in the hotel. I can't wait to stay again and if you are in Philly make this your destination hotel.

The staff was polite and very attentive. The condition of the room was poor. There was paint peeling from the sides of the walls. There was chewed bubble gum stuck to the walls near the bed. There was a kitchenette with no utensils!! There were stains on the furniture. The carpet needed replacing. This place was simply not worth the amount of money I paid. With some sprucing up, this could be a much higher class hotel, because the space itself is very large. Hope they get their act together, and when/if they do, I'd be happy to stay there again.

Building showing its age; upper lobbies, rooms, elevators need a serious update (new wall covering, etc). TGIF needs to go; once kinda cool, now out of date, difficult to access, crowded, food was terrible. Put a cool pub in it's place and make it easier to access. Staff and service were exceptional. Friends (never been there before) were surprised with room size. Will return some day.

It was in Manhatan. I would need more than 300 words to do justice to how much I didn't like the hotel. They don't book you in until 3 then charge you $4 a bag in left luggage. There is NO free internet - I mean even the subway is doing free wifi now! No complimentary coffee in the room. The room is dirty, the socks are falling out of the wall, the bathroom ceiling is peeling, the bath is dirty and pock marked, the light fitting is rusty, the wall is dirty, the bath tap is falling off the wall, the TV didn't work at first, the bed linen was too small for the bed so the mattress protector kept coming off the bed, the curtain lever was broken, 2 draws were broken and we couldn't open them to store our clothes, the walls were marked and the skirting board chipped. Disgusting room which we couldn't spend less time in.
