the outrages 40.00 fee for parking. by the time you tip the valet you've spent 60.00. pure B.S. a major ripoff. never again.
Decent rooms, good location
Slow elevators. Horrible food and crowded breakfast. Poor traffic flow at valet. This hotel feels like they cannot handle the guests they have booked. The organization is lacking, showing poor management.
Location, location, location.
We went down for breakfast near closing time and found one bagel, no hot food, and a staff eager to clean up. While I justified the expense of the hotel with a "free breakfast" (thereby saving us money), we had to go out for breakfast elsewhere.
RUDE CHECK IN AND CHECK OUT STAFF. YOU HAVE CHANGED FOR THE WORSE. WILL NOT RETURN...
Paying for parking. Stiff price and valet was a chaotic mess.
I really liked the location. It was a nice mother/ daughter trip. The taco place puesto across the street was great. My daughter loved the gelato place too. Cheesecake factory was too packed and the service wasn't great.
Did not like that you had to pay $39 a night to park your car there. I didn't budget that into my trip. The breakfast was ok. Our omelets were not cooked through all the way. So the last day we were there we walked downtown to a coffee shop. Their breakfast was a lot better. And there was actually a place to sit.
So close to restaurants, shops and Midway museum.
Even though we took the train,$ 39.00 a day to park your car is pretty steep. It is definitely a deal breaker when we make our next trip to San Diego.
Beautiful area right opposite USS Midway. Great variety of free alcohol at evening reception. Cook to order eggs were good.
The parking. Ridiculous price and no one else to stay. Next time I'll book hotel according to price of parking
Good to stay and well located. Comfortable hotel with excellent cleaning service, great breakfast and meals and all this with very friendly service. From there, we go to several San Diego attractions just walking.
The location was great, happy hour and breakfast was a nice bonus. Our room was clean and comfortable.
We thought the cost to valet was pricey. The room needed more than one small waste basket. Our daughter wanted to be on the same floor but would have had to wait a couple hours for the room to be ready. The kitchen personnel could have been a bit more pleasant.
Late check in time & valet parking only ($39/day), wifi is not free.
Getting to the hotel/check-in & checkout a real hassle. YOU have to have valet parking, no other option. You have to wait for your car at the very small and extremely crowded entrance. Didn't care for it at all
4pm check in.. To late
The location was ok.
The rooms were not that clean. The vending machine on our floor did not work and forced us to buy the $4 water in the room. The happy hour was quite lacking as far as snacks and breakfast was extremely crowded - no matter what time you went there.
The room was nice, but toilet seat was loose and I kept falling in toilet. The door went dead so we were locked out of room for 1 hr. The thing I liked about the staff is they were very nice and professional. They did compensate us for the incovenience of these issues.
Their breakfast buffet could of been somewhat more tasty and their happy hour could of had more of variety of snacks.
Room was very spacious and very clean. Breakfast was outstanding. Front desk was very helpful to us. And valet was on point with service
Windows were very dirty.. Couldn't enjoy view...
Breakfast was pretty good :)
Full size beds very uncomfortable and smelly,BR and counters old with woods uneven and room dusty, glass windows were dirty. We were really disappointed and did not get restful sleep. The noise levels from adjacent rooms and above were horrible. We did not sleep well. Had to cancel our sightseeing plans! I am requesting a refund please!
Proximatey to the bay and shops.
No safe in the room.
Rude guests!!! Free breakfast doesn't mean you load up your plates with more food than you will ever eat - seriously, people - the waste I saw on plates made me very sad. You can always go back. I enjoyed my lovely balcony suite and watched homeless people sleeping on the street - I wanted to go get all those plates of untouched food and give it to the homeless people. Not Embassy Suite's fault - they more than accomodate. I loved my visit, but was so sad to witness such rude and self indulgent, out of touch, and outright bullish behavior. I will visit again, but hope I have the courage to speak up to those fellow humans who behave like animals.
The price an old decore
The breakfasts were delicious (except for the pancakes). The view was good. You can't beat the location. It is close to the train station and the ferry terminal.
The image on this site had a balcony, but the room itself did not. The toilet was hard to flush and we ended up calling maintenance. He also had to fix the tub drain lever. The tub drain worrisomely gurgled often when the neighboring room flushed. The maintenance guy said he had just had to work on the other room toilet too. The carpet in the bedroom was also oddly sticky and left a dirty film on our feet.
The check in & out was great, all the staff at kitchen & parking, buss boys were great.
The price of non holiday stay.
Location to gas lamp district
Room service took too long
No accommodation for a woman to apply make up etc. also no hand held mirror to aid in hair combing
