Sofabed needs replacing
Staff efficient and friendly. Check in had a glitch because of name sent by Bookings. Hotel comped wifi and parking and even sent up champagne for my daughter. Nice touch.
Some issues with food on the walkways due to messy people at breakfast. Most parking spaces were for Compacts which my Expedition was not.
Staff were so willing, and able, to help with several queries. Breakfast was informal with plenty to choose from. Having microwave and fridge (in addition to coffee/tea facilities) in the suite was a huge bonus for us.
Cold, very cold.'
The complimentary full breakfast and the shuttle to main San Francisco but only Friday and Saturday. The suite was clean. The personnel were all excellent
Complimentary shuttle to main SF was only Friday and Saturday. Daily parking fee plus tax. The carpet was old looking and needs to be updated and the suite/room has an old smell
This is my go place for rest, relaxation, and fun. The service is impeccable, the rooms are excellent, the happy hour and the complimentary breakfast is perfect will continue to go here this is my secret oasis away my busy life.
Staff was friendly. Happy hour and breakfast was delightful. Room service staff was very accommodating
Dissapointed that we have to pay $50 for parking. The bed felt really stiff & you can feel the springs. Bathroom had mold In the tub tiles on the wall.
Nice facility. Reception at night was well done.
Rooms were in bad need of updating, cracks in sink, beds uncomfortable, shower curtain torn, furnishings old. Pool was a ridiculous mess. Way too many people for the size and so many people were dressed in clothing not swimsuits. It was nasty. I promised my kids they could swim but I would have NEVER got in the pool or hot tub. It was overcrowded, unclean and not supervised by any staff. I have managed a hotel and we did not allow people to swim without proper swimwear. It isn't sanitary. We also kept to a maximum number of people. This was not done. In fact most people dumped their kids and left. UNSAFE. I would not come here again based on the rooms and the pool situation. We paid too much for this kind of service. Would expect much better from Embassy Suites.
Breakfast buffet is still good and rooms are spaceous and comfortable.
No hot chocolate packages for kids although there are tons of kids on the weekends. Wristbands were required for kids for pool, and no parties, yet there were at least 15 kids w/o wristbands in pool that were party attendees for someone's birthday. Parking is now $22 per night, no free Wi-Fi and no paper except for in the lobby. Tea options were limited to Lipton and herbal. We'll be looking for better value elsewhere from now on after fifteen years of using this hotel when in SF.
Staff were very intentive to our every need. When we arrived at the airport on arrival, we decided to catch the hotel shuttle bus to the hotel which is actually operated by a third party contractor.... We waited 30 mins for the shuttle to arrive and called the hotel from the free telephone in the booth.... The hotel was so embarrassed and apologetic and said to us catch a taxi... The hotel will pay for it. Hotel paid the $18.00 fee. WOW what a service
We are a couple from United Kingdom that travel quite a lot around the world and have experience hundreds of hotels. Our experience at the Embassy suits was very good: please read comments below. Hotel is a little too far away from down town San Francisco for our liking. Hotel puts on a free shuttle bus fri, sat, sun to central San Francisco for guests. Shuttle driver told us times to be back for transport back to hotel, 1.30pm, 3.15pm, 5.00pm. Our party of six arrived at 1.10pm for shuttle back to hotel..... The day was very bad with windy and pouring rain.... Again shuttle bus did not arrive at 1.30pm as planned, we ended up waiting to 3.00pm no bus ever arrived.. We were all freezing cold and wet right through, we called the hotel again and the Hotel manager was so embarrassed again for their contractor shuttle bus letting down their guests, Hotel advised that we all catch a taxi and the hotel will pay the bill... Each taxi was $48 dollars each. When we finally arrived at hotel... The hotel manager gave us all a coupon for $25.00 towards a hot dinner in their restaurant. Again fantastic service and attentive staff and management.
Free breakfast, parking and a very comfortable bed!
No free wifi
The place was wonderful and inside everything was beautiful.
the beds were too soft
Breakfast was excellent and the rooms were really big.
The beds and pillows were not that comfortable.
I was amaze that the Hotel provided Full Breakfast. not just bagels and muffins, but omelets n other delicious food.
I was in room 710 for about ten mins and ive been bitten bye bugs please check facility
restaurant food was great!!
floors in lobby of the hotel were very dirty. the room had a smell of something covering up a bad smell. not the best Embassey suite we have stayed in.
Lobby and interior are beautiful as expected. Rooms are older style but spacious and well maintained. Beds are comfortable, everything very clean. Surprisingly the in-room coffee was delicious, CBTL pods! Enjoyed the complimentart beer, wine & snacks in Courtyard in the evening. Breakfast is great, many choices including cooked to order eggs & omelets. The staff at this location was professional and friendly.
$24 nightly parking fee. Wasn't aware of this as I've never stayed in SF before. The gentleman at front desk made no mention of parking fee upon check in. Not certain how he knew I had a car to park...but I was definitely charged.
The large suite we stayed in was comfortable and lots of room to spread out. The breakfast was amazing, a fabulous variety of food. The atrium area with pond was wonderful!
Dirty dishes and laundry sat in the hallway all day. The rooms could be "updated".
Breakfast and cocktails
I didn't like they would charge me $31.00 and didn't tell me what it was for this was after taxes and taxes. Also ask for a receipt for my stay stated I would have to get it from booking? Just wanted to know how much I really spend . The said since I am going thru a third party booking will send me my receipt
Beautiful hotel. Good location. Excellent breakfast
Why internet is not complementary???? You need to pay internet. Sometimes you need to check emails or send a message. Limit the Mb but provide free Wi-Fi at least in one lobby
We walked in the room and immediately noticed a very strong moldy odor. The inside windows were wet--you could run your hand across them and wipe off water. We were trying to stay in the room but I developed a bad headache and the smell was overwhelming. We were given another room. It was better but still smelled like mold. This hotel has a serious problem.
The room was big and nicely laid out. Updated decor. Felt spacious. Breakfast included is always very convenient and the food was decent with lots of options.
The room smelled awful and the carpet and couch were damp (as if someone had tried to clean the room after a smoker had been there). It was a non-smoking room. We couldn't put our kid on the pullout couch because the smell was too strong in that part of the room. Also, it was very noisy since all the rooms open into a main multi-story foyer space. And the breakfast was super hectic and overcrowded without enough seating.
Long Long Line for hot breakfast
breakfast was great!
A woman worked at the front desk was not friendly and impatient.
