The perfect place for a birthday. People were really kind. Thanks :-) The size of the room and the comfort!
Temperature, but nobody can do something about that ;-) The people next room: never quiet.
The open garden area is nice and welcoming. The breakfast is great. Staff Friendly. Comfortable bed and spacious rooms.
The room could use a little updating and would appear cleaner. Seemed a bit worn, but not bad.
Far away to downtown..internet connection slow..
Room size, breakfast
Interior design a bit dated. Atrium had the feel of a prison!! All those walkways....
Location was great for us. We liked the breakfast and the late afternoon food/drink option
Location of the pool invited a lot of noise. I realize you can't control this, but there were a lot of loud and unruly children running the halls, yelling, etc. Noise was a huge factor in the hotel as the openness of the courtyard to the rooms above made for high volume of voices.
Everything was grate. I've stayed there several times.
Like the overall environment . Will stay again
The kids running all over
Bed was the best for a rested sleep
Happy hour and breakfast.
Secluded from rest of guests.
Close to maids entry or work area. Noisy - could hear noises that sounded like a washer and dryer through the walls.
We loved the attitude, the breakfast was delicious, very nice looking hotel. Not in the center of San Francisco but a beautiful neighborhood.
This hotel offered more for much less than those in San Francisco. The drive to the city is short and easy.
Room was large it was clean people were friendly it was convenient great price
Nice breakfast and good location for local day trips
Front desk staff was so so
The bed and pillows were incredibly comfortable and provided for an excellent nights sleep. Good choices for breakfast - lovely setting
Greasy bacon and sausages
Loved the area and the full breakfast was a huge savings for a family of 4. The drive into San Francisco was beautiful.
Location was great for our family event
Stained sheets and towels Not changed when asked No free internet even in lobby, fee $10/day per device (there were 4 of us --- 2 students, 2 adults) Hair in shower Luke warm water Broken workout equipment Food dishes left in hall all day Outlets too loose to hold chargers Diningroom tablecloths covered in remnants of other diners Overcharged for room
My grandchildren had a great time. The staff was friendly and accommodating
Dirty. Need to clean
Location, everything about the hotel
Outdoor tropical feel.
Breakfast was good. Happy Hour was good.
The check-in was bad - The girl at desk could not find our "Booking.com" reservation - had to seek out the manager. She said this happens all the time with 3rd party reservations. I have used Booking.com many, many times and this has never happened before. The Housekeeping Dept. needs help. I had to call for room cleaning - no human to talk to - just a recording. No one came - I finally had to snag a maid out in the hall to clean our room. Very bad. The check-out was just as bad as check-in. The same girl said she could not tell me the cost and also could not print out a receipt because it was a 3rd party booking. I've never heard of such a thing. I am going to send an e-mail directly to the Manager of Embassy Suites in San Rafael and also to the corporate offices. I would not recommend this hotel. Also - the hotel is in need of refurbishing - needs work done.
The hotel was a good value and very close to tourist attraction. You could kinda hear your neighbor talking but wasn't enough to drive you crazy. Breakfast good. Would recommend taking their shuttle if you plan on catching the ferry to SF since there were no parking spaces when we tried to catch the ferry. Very good trip overall.
Noise coming from adjacent room and elevators being down.
Beautiful, clean, open, glass elevator. Food at the Grille 101 was very very good. Restaurant staff Saul very friendly, big smile, very informative about menu items. Veronica was also friendly and kept checking that we had everything we needed. Lashawn at front desk also was helpful and nice. Bedside phone in room never worked for us even though a workman came up to check it and said it was fine. We had to get up and use the phone in the sitting room when we needed to make a call within the hotel. No shower caps in bathroom. We would definately stay there again. I became a Hilton Honors member on this stay.
Phone didn't work at bedside No shower caps
We always try to book with embassy suites. Having 4 children, we need a spacious room. Also, having a complimentary breakfast is truly convenient. We don't need to get the kids ready to go out to have a breakfast elsewhere...we can just go downstairs..and the breakfast spread is excellent. Having an indoor pool is also a plus, especially when the weather outside is too cold to permit a swim. The onsite gym is sufficient. The staff is friendly and rooms are super clean. The beds are so comfy...I always got a good night's sleep.
It is located about 40 minutes outside of downtown San Francisco, but is worth the drive.
