Just the parking lot .
Old structure building
There was blood on the ceiling of the room and the hotel felt like a crack house. Would NEVER recommend this for anyone.
Uncomfortable bed. Old flat pillows. Old furniture and didn't even work. Towels small and not always replenished. Panhandlers and street people everywhere making me feel very sad.... but at least they had a comfortable place to sleep... the sidewalk.
The staff were friendly and nice
1. The fact that there was no option for real breakfest 2. WiFi was lost for hours sometimes
very expensive for the services theyprovide.loud rooms , didn't get any sleep
loud rooms, no breakfast.charge extra
The location was scary as far as the people.
Good location, Wifi and large closet in room
Rude customer service! We wouldn't want to stay again or recommend to anyone else. There are plenty of other places that offer as good of a price with better service. Also, there were stains on the curtains and comforter (looked/felt like wax... I hope).
It ain't the Taj Mahal and walls are really thin but it felt safe and a decent bed and flat screen TV.
Loud people on the first floor coming in and out. Don't get room next elevator.
If was fine for one person.
Hallway looked like a scene from a horror movie
Quiet hotel. Freindly staff.
No fridge in room or air conditioning or heat but it is San Francisco.
Good room, nice bed.
Breakfast was very very simple in a awful room.
on main road, near civic centre, music district, near a subway system, cable car, mini tram
room a bit small for the price paid, a bit too art décor
Facilities - old - No aircon Noisy room, sirens all night long and then garbage trucks early in the morning. Staff - just doing a job beds - uncomfortable Bath - small and old carpets - my kids got black feet from walking on them Cost - Outrageous for what you get Close to nothing Don't stay here. Actually, for San Fran, stay out of town and commute - it's cheaper
Everything - this place should be condemned. Old, dirty and uncomfortable. Price is ridiculous. But, so is all the other options in San Fran, stay outside of CBD and commute.
Free Wi-Fi Hot water for showers decent cable
2 of the 4 white towels had stains The carpet needed to be cleaned or replaced - dirty and stained Free breakfast was toast, whole fruit, orange juice, coffee, and cereal - Could be a little more hearty Hotel hallways in general could use a facelift. It was dark and the floor creaked. Noise from the street was so loud - windows were closed Every so often, I could hear the squealing of pipes or something that sounded like a jack hammer within the building. Someone was smoking marijuana and the smell got into the room.
easy check-in & check out, friendly staff, convenient location, low room cost, no funds withheld on credit card like other hotels, private enclosed parking lot (amazing), clean room.
need more pillows, 3 for a king size are not enough, plush pillows would be nice & comfier. slept fine but would have been much nicer if i had more pillows.
Pleasant staff. Close to Union Square.
Smelled like cigarettes.
I found the majority of staff didn't care or were abrupt in there manner. The simplest things were made to seem an imposition. The room smelt terrible, it's hard to describe past being smoky and old time funky, it felt unclean. We had to go and buy air freshener and scented candles to stand being in there. The hotel was not value for money, there were nearby hotels that had better facilities and were $100/night cheaper. Eg the Red Coach. We tried to change rooms twice due to the smell and to get a fridge and were rebuffed for non senscicle reasons. The neighborhood was extremely shady, we were advised by the staff (only after asking if we were safe) not to go down 3 of the streets.
The building and art deco style of the interiors are very nice; parking inside very practical.
The breakfast takes place in a dark place, more suited for a late night lounge bar :)
Comfortable beds in good=sized room. Charming old art deco furnishings. Fresh-baked muffins on an otherwise uninspired continental breakfast table.
One staff member chastised us publicly for trying to take coffee up to our room; there are no notices or signs saying that this action is not allowed.
Very nice staff
Very loud and needs a deep clean
The WiFi was fast and the signal was strong. They have a private gated parking lot which is also a plus.
First off, as others have mentioned, there are homeless people everywhere. I would say the area is almost decent, but I wouldn't be caught wandering the streets at night. The hotel room itself was very dated. The halls were narrow and the elevator was in some serious need of maintenance. I will start with the bathroom. The bathroom wasincredibly small and the grout in the small tile shower told me that not much effort had been put into cleaning. The standing sink was incredibly small and there was no counter, only a tiny ledge where you can put all of your toiletries - right above the sink. Additionally, my room did not have any bath towels. I had to wait almost 45 minutes for someone to deliver them. As for the bedroom. There was a dead fly under my pillow. Yes, you read that correctly. Whether that means the staff didn't change my sheets or the dead fly had a heart attack mid-flight and landed under my pillow. I chose to believe the ladder. I can literally go on and on but I now feel like I am wasting my breath, so to speak. Hopefully I have said enough to steer you away from this miserable hotel. Good luck.
Shower had good pressure
The strong smell of smoke even in our non-smoking room. It was permeating -coming through the doors, vents and hallways.
