The owners personality was fine. She was very willing to assist in finding a place to eat .
Everything else. The loud tenants who were outside for most of the night who clearly lived there. The room was not clean whatsoever: visible mold in the bathtub and bathroom fan with overwhelming odor, carpet was covered in remnants of last visitors dirt etc. The room we actually booked reeked of cigarette smoke (this is a non smoking facility) and we were downgraded to a room with 2 twin beds. Wifi barely worked. Was concerned for majority of the time about the safety of my car and if I could even fall asleep in that bed.
Everything!!! The smell was to Gage you.AC / fan did not work, comforters were at the least 20 yrs old and never washed, food under beds, Patio does not exist, trash and debries in back of building.Right in back, next to building. It felt like someone lives there ,,,unless when units are booked.dirty ash trays by door, waste basket dirty in room . Owner / operator. not helpful at all, more conserned at watching tv ,in her home ,just through the office I am a NH resident and can not beleive that accomidations like this are for rent in our beatiful seacoast. shame on book it,and other companies the offer emerald iels !!! DO YOUR HOME WORK!
No bed linen No towels Grimy and filthy Lightbulbs missing Doors an windows not closing properly No security lock on door This place is a big joke and shouldn't be in Hampton Beach but in Pyongyang
The owners are wonderful folks. They took the time to check on each and every traveler staying there. They offered recommendations for fun and food. Guests were respectful. Place was quiet and easy to get in and out of. Will go back!
Bed could use a new mattress, it was a little lumpy.
Location, Owner was nice.
Mold in closet.
proprietor was more than accomodating and helpful. they were sold out on the second night and assisted me in finding a nearby motel/inn.
It was the best hotel that ive stayed at for a long time, we will be back next year :)
We loved are stay and will return soon everyone was so nice
Felt like I was in a horse stall.
The lady was very friendly. The motel is relatively close to the beach, a five minute drive or so.
We arrived early (two hours before check-in) and the room was not ready (needed to be cleaned), which was fine. So, my fiance and I left and went to the beach. We came back and received our room number and key. The parking is assigned to the rooms so our truck was not visible to our room which was the first thing that we did not like. We had the nicest vehicle in the whole place. Bald tires, cluttered run-down vehicles. We should have known then to run! There were two shady-looking men sitting outside their room that proceeded to stare at us the whole time we were there. We opened the door to our room and was hit in the face by a foul odor (smelled like sour milk and mold). The floor was soft and dirty! We had to be cautious where we walked. The smoke detector was hanging out of the wall by it's wires. The shower stall had a dirty washcloth still hanging in this "recently cleaned room" and the sheets had unidentifiable yellow stains on it. There was an inch of dust on the furniture in the room and gross disgusting stains on the door, not to mention that the room only had a regular house key lock. No deadbolt or additional added security lock. We traveled four hours to get here only to return the key and leave without a refund!!! DO NOT STAY HERE....
Dirty place. Just don't go there.
Owner was a very pleasant women, greeted us checking in & when checking out told us what great visitors we all were, & thanked us. If you are looking for someplace reasonable priced & don't plan on spending a lot of time at the motel this might work for you.
Motel needs updating, outlet in the bathroom didn't work, and the bathroom didn't close tight. Only 1 lock on rm door. We would have felt better with a more secure lock. We had 2 rms , 1 was for my daug and her family(with 2 little kids) I was a little uncomfortable with the people on both sides of us, they spent a lot of time outside smoking & drinking. Just was not a good family setting.
New mattress and manager was very nice
Dirty not kept up, like flowers the few there were not watered not dead headed.
as soon as we walked in we were greeted by the owner. Very friendly Lady and made you feel at home. She came to see us a few times asking if we were all set and needed anything.
Room in real bad condition, tie on bathroom floor tile loose and grout missing. Bathroom sink back splash tile had jagged edges that were sharp. One of the two beds was old and warn out (sag in middle). Kitchen area was old and dirty looking. . People lived there year round...maid service was poor, bed not made....Motel all around was a huge mistake. ..
Any hotel that charges your card at noon before you check in should automatically raise a red flag. Initially it looked like a quaint New England Motel but once we pulled around back the scene changed drastically. The residents (yes, residents) of the hotel were enjoying drinks around the questionable pool. Our neighboring room was donning an eviction notice (interesting choice for art work) and then we opened the door to what we hoped to be luxurious accommodations (or at least suitable to sleep and walk in). At first glimpse we saw a tv and cable box with wires strewn about, fake flowers in a vase (both with UPC tags in place) and an air conditioner from the 70s that was noisy as all get out. Too afraid to take off our shoes and in desperate need of a drink we scoured our room for some cups. In the absence of cups we decided to drink our wine from the bottle. Too afraid to sit down, we stood around taking in the scenery of our pieced together bathroom, dirty toilet and stained carpet. Upon further investigation we discovered our bed skirt was the plastic wrapping around our box spring. When contemplating where we would sleep we realized the other bed still had the mattress and box spring wrapped in plastic. You might be saying to yourself, "well at least it's clean", however the sheets were stained with questionable colors and appeared to be more of a shade of yellow than white. Our solution was to sleep on top of the bed spread and use the other bed spread for our blanket. The bed spreads earned the 1 star as they looked new and less scary than the rest of the room. Our belongings occupied all flat surfaces, out of legitimate fear of putting them on the floor or the lovely yellow sheets. When I was offered my hair tie from the floor I had to hold back some throw up because it was not mine. Let's move on to the bathroom which made a construction site port-o-potty look like 5 star hotel bathroom.
Pool was clean. They even had extra grills and set up a tent and patio set (which was very comfortable by the way)
Local taxi services are poor and unorganized and quite unreliable. There's a handful of drivers in the area. The area is booming im surprised there wasn't a legitimate taxi service but rather the flat rate 'transportation services' where the drivers use and even share their own personal vehicles. This has nothing to do with this property but its a notable issue for the area itself. The electricity to our room was iffy. We had the the a.c. going cuz its the beginning of July but the lights would dim continuously but its something you can cope with. Their power system concerns me i believe its being overloaded.
Disgusting!... Arrived around 6 pm and our bed still wasn't made for a 3 o'clock check in. The room itself had obvious water damage in the ceiling and unidentifiable wet stains on the walls. You're better off sleeping in your car.
Most of the staff was very friendly.
The room appeared to be undergoing a renovation and should not have been rented out. The pool needed a serious skimming. Had to go looking for someone for the front desk more than once.
Bed slept good ,pool was ok
Had bugs all over spiders and other bugs ,the room was not set up for guest yet ,all that was there were bed ,table and 2 chairs fridge ,sink had no door on one side ,stove was had a filthy oven was dust under the beds ,they advertised a fire pit on the web site I didn't see any.when we got there in the evening someone needed to put light covers on 1or2light fixtures ,hello that should have been done long before we got three .couldn't get on the internet even though her son came over to help us after he left we couldn't get on
The staff was very friendly and accommodating. A pleasure to do business with and very polite. Clean sheets and no bugs!
The rooms are a bit shabby. The shower was dirty, the bathroom door doesn't close and if it does, you can't get out. It smelled a bit "old" and the people hanging out there were shady.
the hotel was underconstruction and when we went to check in at 8pm our room was no where ready...we were told it would be ready in 15 min....we left for 2 hours and returned to find room still not ready..we had no option to stay anywhere else, due to all hotels booked up for the night with several events going on in the area...I can't believe no one called to tell us of the situation....terrible steer clear!!
Booked 2 rooms; were told not ready til 6 pm, then told 1 was ready, other would be later. &Quot;Ready" room had 1 small bed instead of 2 queens and was dirty; other had no beds! When we returned beds were there, not made, tools on bed, room filthy. People unapologetic. We left at 2am with no place to go. Disgusting!
Being renovated by inexperienced owner an maint man. Old mattresses and furniture everywhere. Walked in to my room that I had a key for and someone else was already in it. Owner offered me another room at 11pm that had only a bed in it. Wires hanging out of walls, no tv, no bathroom door or fan. Worst experience of my life. Owner admitted she didn't know what she was doing. Maintainence man doing electrical on residential business. Dangerous!
