We loved the location, nice neighborhood and distance to the Quarter was perfect. It's clean but a bit rundown which we figured given the price. Overall (except for the mattress cover) it was a comfortable place to sleep.
You do get what you pay for. It's a cheap hotel but if all you care about is a clean, cool, decent sized room to sleep in it's fine. If you want five star quality this is not the place.
It was quiet and the staff were really nice. The bed was satisfactory.
There were no closets or anywhere to hang clothes,
The temperature of the shower water rapidly changed from hot to cold the entire stay.
We saw two ladies by the hour next to the hotel and it was all clear. You can imagine the scene from a horror movie in a hotel - this is a place. The bathroom looked like someone was killed in it. We did not even take a shower or used a toilet because it was disguisting!!! We also did not walk barefoot, because the half of the carpet that was in a room has never been cleaned before. Seriously the worst hotel we have been to ( and we travel a lot) Is not worth $88 including taxes that you have to pay! DO NOT STAY here unless you do not mind that your room was rented per hour by people of different professions and orientations!
The location is great, and you get a parking spot which is hard to come by for this area. Walking distance to French Quarter. We got what we needed and what we paid for and literally nothing else. They have a nice balcony to sit on and drink coffee.
It's really just a place to keep your stuff and park your car if you're going to party on Bourbon. If you aren't planning on spending much time in your hotel, save some money and stay here. But it's not clean or comfortable or nice by any means. The smell of ammonia was overwhelming, the beds were covered in plastic, and there is no soap in the bathrooms.
The staff is very friendly and attentive
Other than hot coffee, no breakfast is served
It's convenient access to the French Quarter.
The condition of the room, very poorly repaired fixtures or outdated.
Location was ok
Everything was bad
the staff from the counter are very kind especially the women.
the guy from the counter not consisting from the information that gave to us about renewing our stay.
Just at a 15min walk from the center of the action
The room was very old, the mattress covered with a plastic bag and the bath tub rusty.
The staff were very nice
The room smelled really bad
It was pretty old and dirty. AC was not working and the room full of humudity and bad smell. The door of bath room was broken and couldn't be closed, so I couldn't sleep because of humudity. It was terrible!
Great location. Cheerful staff. right price
Plastic sheet on the bed. my room only had a small window high up on the wall.
Location,free parking, very quiet!
The location was near the area we wanted to be in but was in a neighborhood that had some scary aspects.
Everything basically is old, patched up, rigged up. No toiletries provided. You had to pay for ice, leave your key to the room every time you came and went. Smallest rooms every with terrible plumbing and get this...a Rug cut in HALF! Wallpaper patched around the air conditioner and very thin walls.
Friendly staff, great value for the location.
The staff was exceptionally attentive and friendly.
The rooms are in need of an upgrade.
- 2 blocks from French Quarter - Very friendly staff - Cable
- 2 block walk to the French Quarter is pretty sketchy - Very old rooms - Firm bed
The staff is excellent. The guy at night is fabulous. He is a wealth of information on the area, just ask him. The location is great and close enough to walk to the French Quarter. We knew from the reviews what to expect. The rooms are old and run down, but ours was clean including the sheets on the bed. Hotel Impossible was there 2 weeks prior to our visit. They did the lobby and room 101 (NICE!!) which one of the staff showed us. The owner's son is taking over the hotel soon and he called Hotel Impossible to help (or that is what we were told). I am not sure I would stay there again, but I would not rule it out. The price was fabulous and we were on a really tight budget especially since food and such can be pricey in New Orleans.
Location is great walking distance to French Quarter.
Place is pretty much a dive. Great price but you definetly get what you pay for. If you don't mind a run down place and just want a place to try and sleep go for it. Otherwise kick in another $50 and go elsewhere.
the location was a easy walk to everything. Nice patio.
the paint was peeling. the bathtub and sink would not drain. the bed was painful.! the walls are paper thin. There is no closet or even a hook to hang anything. If the owner cared just a little he could make that place nice.
Everything. Was so gross that we did not even stay there.
