location to get to french quarter
bad area could not go out alone
Inexpensive compared to the other hotels.
Sparsely furnished. Sketchy feel. Aweful bed and I'm not picky. No shampoo/conditioner. Had to leave key at front desk if going out. I don't mind old buildings but there were places in the floor that felt like it might give way very soon. DO NOT GO OUT at night in this area.
The staff was awesome.
I couldn't believe this place exist. Unbelievable waste of money. This is 2014.
Disgusting service, disgusting rooms, bad bad neighbourhood, shower didn't even work. Do not go to this place, find somewhere else.
As a filmmaker, it was an interesting experience - already got some good ideas for film noir screenplay.
No phone in room. No closet or any place to hang up clothes. Extremely old and loud airconditioner. Water in sink does not drain. Skipped the shower and got out of town the next day as fast as I could.
I love the close proximity to the French Quarter. It was very affordable. Understand that this is no frills. No shampoo, no closet, no dresser. The room is very small, the mattress has plastic over it. I really did not care, it was not my intention to spend time in the room. You get what you pay for and for 114.00 for a 2 night stay what can you expect. There is parking on the primes is.
I stopped in for a few minutes to relax, came out of my room to look for some ice (costs .25) which is fine. The owner told me that I could loose my 10.00 key deposit for being barefoot. I thought that was funny, but how silly. The coffee in the morning is the color of weak tea.
Wonderful staff and a wonderful bargain. It has the necessities, parking, clean, and safe. I think it is charming and has character. The charming balcony is nice. Just a hop and a skip walk to French Quarter. Much more quiet tucked into a more residential area. Entry doors are always locked for safety and only guests are allowed to enter.
Only once scary encounter with a man asking for money while walking home alone for the night. Just walk with a buddy and you will be fine. Hotel doors are locked ams only guests can enter.
cheap, got what i paid for
badly in need of remodeling
It is close to French quarter, but some bridges to sleep under too.
There is nothing to tell to like. This is no hotel, just a roof over the head for 78 bucks. Get it off the hotel list, nobody should share the same experience.
Nothing. Checked in then checked back out. Ended up staying at the Hilton Hotel.
With this place you get a safe hotel in a safe area at a great price. It's by no means luxury but gets the job done. I bring my own sheets, blankets, febreeze.
The bathrooms should be updated but again you get what you pay for. They were at least clean.
Nothing at all
the motel was so nasty it was like a jail cell in the room with a tiny window ac unit room was so hott hallways had no ac carpet throughout hallways were wet smelled of mildew roaches everywhere cigarette burns on bed spreads pubic hair on sheets AND towels have to leave key at front desk when u leave even to go to parking lot plus more me and my sister Stayed in our room for an hour we had to go so we slept at the train station for twelve hours.....that's how bad it is!!
Walking distance to French Quarter. Friendly staff. Clean
Cramped room. Bathroom pretty beat up.
Location and Parking are close to the French Quarter.
This is not a hotel. It is a homeless shelter. Fact not opinion because I recognized the so called hotel guests hanging out during the day in a park. No room key is available for you like a you would demand of a hotel. Keys are kept at the front desk. Soap on request and don't expect cleanliness. Remeber your in a shelter. With the above being stated I must confess we did NOT stay there. Upon our observation we left without taking the room. Should not be on a vacation web site because that is misleading.
Staff and value
Very old and quite scrappy
Walking distance to popular places in the French quarter.
Air conditioner did not work, staff couldn't get us a fan. Bathroom was dirty. Staff said they could not give me a receipt because, I booked online.
cigarette smoke was everywhere.
The location wasn't bad - the Hotel however was.
Dirty filthy place. They didn't change the bed and the room smelled. Not worth it - I paid for two days but left after one night as it was such a bad room. The bathroom had mildew with broken tiles etc.
Close to Bourbon Street
The place is a dump, but I wasn't expecting much given the price. I was staying there for the location. The thing that bothered me the most though was the front desk situation. One person was in charge of manning the front desk, checking the rooms before people left, and checking the rooms before people checked into rooms. This caused a lot of time to stand around and twiddle my thumbs. It caused the biggest problem when I tried to check out. By the time I was helped it was 12:14 pm. I was not given my security deposit because it was after 12....by 14 minutes! Most of which was spent waiting to be helped. It was the ultimate slap in the face after staying in a complete dump.
Handy Location, staff was nice.
It was in an ugly condition -----not just a makeover -----it needed a gut job; like new floors and walls, ceilings, fixtures and probably support beams. I actually got by with the 1/4 roll of toilet paper they allotted me---glad I brought soap!
I didn't even stay bc I never ever got waited on. I waited for 30 mins while the lady never got my room so I paid for nothing
It was in walking distance to burbon st
U had to pay for everything , a extra deposit for the key,a deposit to use the iron, u had to leave the key every time u left the property, paid 226.00 for the hotel was wondering why I had to pay all these extra charges???
This place is a dump. If you want bed bugs, this is the place for you. I would HIGHLY suggest seeking other options if you require clean sheets and comfort.
The closeness of the hotel to the French Quarter
Rooms has nothing inside except a poor bed.
