The location of the hotel is very good. To be able to take these many Metro-lines from the l Enfant plaza station under the hotel was brilliant, saved a lot of traveling time. The Metro system is very good and save.

The location is excellent for touring the DC Mall and Museum area. It is reasonable priced and the staff is very accomodating. It is right on the Metro line and very convenient. The hotel is in need of redecorating and renovation. The furniture is old and needs to be replaced in some areas.

The best things by far were the convenience of having the Metro station just a few steps away and the view of the Washington Monument right outside our window. Since we were there as a family, we didn't like that the pool (very nice one) closed at six o'clock. Also, family dining was limited to the very expensive hotel dining room.

The location which is in walking distance to most of the historical sites. Underground trains and transportation availability. The overall friendliness of the hotel staff. The rooms need major up dates. Please put real coffee makers in the rooms. Bathrooms and tile floors needs up dating. My room was facing a major highway and it was very noisey which made it very difficult to sleep.

The door man knows us and always gives a friendly greeting. The whole staff is attentive. The rooms are clean and the beds very comfortable. Food is delicious. My only complaint is that it is soooo expensive to park the car overnight. I appreciate the valet service and I feel safe parking with you but there are not really any other options and I think 25-30 dollars would be fairer.

The concierge was fantastic, rooms were adequately big and tidy. Early morning maid service, need to remember to put up a Do Not Disturb sign before going to bed. Valet staff never answered the phone and were hardly at their desk.

Big king bed. We had a view overlooking the pool, but it was January. Would have preferred a room with a city view, but for the price, we loved it.

With the exception of my waitress during our conference lunch, the staff and conference room accommodations were superb! I did not like my waitress during our conference lunch; and the tub did not appear to be clean in my room.

We only booked for 3 nights, but as Washington is such a wonderful place we decided to stay on for a further 4nights. The hotel was faultless. The staff very helpful. The inhouse resturant food was great. The hotel is right on L'Enfant Plaza the most central metro station in Washington. So everywhere is easily reached. We tended to walk to most sights. We breakfasted in the cafes under the hotel along the walkways. The room we had was huge with a whole wall of patio doors leading onto a patio giving a wonderful view over the river. I cannot praise it enough.

The Metro right underneath the hotel was very handy. The hotel was clean and the staff was very friendly. We had several excellent meals at the American Grill as well as drinks and appetizers at the Foggy Bottom Bar downstairs. Neither was exactly cheap but the quality of the food was so superior that we went back more than once. We were there in Nov and the room rates were so reasonable we indulged in some of the best food we've ever had anywhere. We had requested a room with a nice view if possible and we had a balcony on the top floor overlooking the Washington Monument complete with beautiful sunsets. Room was large with comfortable bed & good shower- cable so-so. We would certainly stay again. Tv channel selection and reception wasn't the best. They did provide free hbo.

I stayed here to attend a conference for 5 days. Good link to the metro and near the Museums. The hotel is clean and comfy with a good breakfast served by a very friendly staff. The area around the hotel is kind of a dead zone (but seemed safe) in the immediate area with a lot of government buildings, but again you are linked to the metro so you can easily go to more lively areas. I liked the gym with good equipment open 24-7. The bed and shower were adequate, no complaints. I would consider staying here again for a conference. It was good for the price in Washington dc. $6 water bottles in the room brought a frown and costly in-room Wi-Fi. Also the hotel had a bad lobby signal for "complimentary" that never let me log on my entire stay "too many users" in an empty lobby at 6:30 am?? Small complaints.

If you have meetings with any number of federal departments or want to visit the Smithsonian, the location is excellent. Also can reach the hotel easily on the Metro (if you know how to exit the L'Enfant Plaza metro station). The property is tired and needs some investment. The air conditioning system in my room and in the conference rooms was terrible - always uncomfortable. There were stains in various places in my room and a door stop took a hunk out of my toe when I ran into it not expecting there to be something protruding from the floor near the closet. Someone at this hotel should also expect significant room noise from the freeway outside. This is unavoidable for the location and not the hotel's fault but don't stay here if noise will bother you.
